It had taken all in his power to convince Agsil to come back to the breeding isle, which was nothing short of sniffling snot and crying at the dragon. Tavi just couldn't go back to his dorm and to sleep as it was, even if he had came down with a case of the cutie pox. The likes of which incidentally weren't as bad as his friend was making them out to be. No, there was no time for resting when he had recently discovered the absence of his very important bag of marbles. They had been placed in his pocket before their trips this morning. So while he appreciated the pampering, well, it was a bit frustrating at the moment.

Whining out impatiently, he tapped on the seat of the tram, fingers drumming annoyingly. Since there were no windows, nor real actual sides in the open tram they had taken, the windy weather outside took its toll. Shivering at a gusty breeze the kitsune whimpered and leaned closer to his friend for heat, his bright pink spots multiplying now and spread to his plump little cheeks. It didn't take long thankfully, before the tram pulled up the to Isle and they were allowed to unload. Bouncing off Tavi started in a sprint towards their last location.

Only as he ran towards the benches where they had, had their last snack before home a large gust of wind picked up and sent the kitsune in a forward roll. Startled by getting kicked off his feet by the gust, the boil let out a yelp and flattened his ears, hands shooting up to cover his face. One tumble than two occurred before Tavi was sitting upright on his bottom. His head was spinning as he tried to regain himself, lips pulled in a tight frown.

There was nothing she could properly comprehend about the situation at the moment. Repeatedly, Agsil had stressed that if Tavi just stayed in bed she could get the toys back for him. A bag of polished rocks, or glass, or whatever, was all they were to her. Hypocrite, really, as the sky only know what the dragon would do if someone ran off with a possession of hers. Or how she'd rip areas apart looking for something if she thought it lost. In none of those scenarios was she sick however.

Tavi was.

The tram was almost an offense to her at that point, wrapping a wing around the boil when he'd leaned closer to her in the wind. On one hand, yes, she enjoyed the wind. The sensation of the air pulling at her wings and setting her long hair spreading out like a banner behind her was a sensation of flight without effort. It was unfortunately difficult to fully enjoy knowing she had an ill companion to deal with. Over protective? Fussing? Her?

Yes. All of the above. And then some. She refused to allow him much distance from her, and her eyes rarely left the boil. He was ill. Being sick meant bed rest, maybe warm food if it helped the symptoms, but rest. The harsh winds and travel accomplished none of this.

By the time they were at the island, Agsil was positively pissed. While she at least didn't take it out on Tavi, anyone else in close vicinity was snapped at, shoved out of her way to keep up with the speedy boil--one older male snarled at her, only for the young dragon to hiss back. She might have taken it further in her growing annoyance had the kitsune not been in his sprint.

As it was, she abandoned her feet and took to the air. The wind pushed her in the right direction--only to glide over him in time to see his rough tumble and fall. Snarling, she landed beside the upended boil. "This is ridiculous," she hissed for the umpteenth time. "Just sit at one of these benches and let me find the bag. You'll worsen your condition." The strong winds had her pulling her wings closer to her body, keeping her legs apart and crouched a bit lower to stable her stance. Likely if this kept up, she'd be in a similar position as Tavi...

Spinting forward from the bus, and the warmth of the curled wings, Tavi didn't look back. Not because he wanted to outrun Agsil, no. He kept rushing without a glance back since the hisses were reading loud and clear. The kitsune realized that his friend was big enough to carry him back like San might in this situation. So instead of provoking her or staying close he decided to let her vent frustration behind him while trying to hurry.

Now on his bottom and tucking his head between his knees for a moment, Tavi took a deep breath. Ignoring the snarl from his friend since he knew she meant well, the kitsune pulled up. Eyes now watery and large in attempts to get Agsil. "It's not ridiculous!" Shouting he sniffled again, hand rubbing over his nose as he did. It wasn't fair, he told her they were important and they were! They were a present from his older brother to help with homesickness, since inside each marble was a little piece of home.

Pushing up to his feet the boil stomps wildly in a circle, throwing a clear tantrum and uncaring of who sees. "I don't wanna sit, I don't wanna!" Scowling now to Agsil he points, eyes narrowing on a demand, "carry me. if you're so worried!" Ok, maybe it was a bit harsh to be this way, but in his current state Tavi was beyond logic and into pure emotion and at the moment that meant frustrated and tired.

Not expecting the ghoul to actually comply he started to stomp off and inspect around the bench a loud whimper sounded as his search came up empty. "Nn..maybe..it's.." He frowned in thought, tears dropping down to roll off his chubby spotted cheeks. He had to find them, he just had to..

Dragons did not cry. It was simply not something built into their anatomy. At least not for ink dragons. Oh there were more than enough ways to show an ink dragon was deeply upset, but crying? It was something she had no real experience in. The few times she had while in this humanoid form had been deeply troubling, seeing how ink had dripped from her eyes.

Seeing Tavi now, water brimming in his eyes, was again troubling. Yes, he'd stressed the importance of the marbles. Yes, she understood they meant a great deal to him. Yet his outburst, coupled with his tears, rattled her. She faltered, the wind taking advantage and shoving her back a few steps. It was only by throwing herself almost to the knees that she kept herself on her feet, just in time for Tavi's demand. Carry him? The wind shook her again, and she grit her teeth.

Watching as the kitsune continued to look for his lost belongings, her expression softened, a light sigh coming from her dark lips. If she helped him, he would be able to return to his dorm sooner. Simple facts. It was why she was there in the first place. This wind... would make that problematic. At least...

It would for this lighter form.

Agsil hesitated only for a small moment, hand hoovering over the skull pin that kept her in her smaller state. She'd not yet taken her natural form outside her dorm since... well. That other place. Before then, she hadn't been of that form in the open air since before attending Amity. What was she afraid of? Rolling her eyes, she pulled the pin from herself, letting it fall to the ground. In seconds, the large dragon stood in the wind. "If you would hold onto my pin for me, I would appreciate it," she rumbled, her voice holding only a trace of the softer tone her other form used. Growls and deep rumbles formed words, as ink slid around her maw to assist. They were vocal cords not meant for language quite like this--some of her words were nearly lost in her growls and huffs--but she hoped the concepts would be properly conveyed. Her natural tongue would be even worse gibberish to his ears.... it occured to her the potential use if she could teach it to him.

The wind tugged and jarred her thick layering of ink, and the dragon huffed. Opening her mouth, she drew the ink inward. Into herself. It would mesh and return to her ink-blood. It left her a great deal smaller than her covered self, but as she lowered herself down for the kitsune to hop on--she fanned out one wing to try and shepherd him back to her for this, and grab her pin--she at least did not feel as much of the whipping winds. For a moment, the dragon shifted uncomfortably. She could not maintain her state like this for long. Keeping so much ink inside her body was... uncomfortable. Unhealthy, if she wasn't careful. But for now, it would do. "I will help you search, Tavi. At least this way I can keep us both from falling on our faces."

Finally managing to calm himself at the sight of his friends natural form Tavi gasped. His hands moving up to rub semi-circles over his eyes and dry what tears remained. He couldn't believe that Agsil would go natural all for him, it made him ache in a strange way. Soon he was moving with the wing, though slowly, almost hesitantly upon seeing how much larger she appeared up close.

It was in this moment that he remembered the chatter of her he heard in class once, about her eating minis. Tavi swallowed thickly unable to suppress thoughts of if his friend had ever aten a kitsune, considering they weren't much bigger. Or at least some clans of them weren't and the youngers, like him.

"Ah..Oh! OH!" Nodding rapidly he recalled her words, taking the pin as he climbed nimbly up upon her back to sit. It was there that a curious warm hand stroked over her scaled back. Puckering his lips he giggled slightly, murmuring out, "I wish I was this big too.." Though it was a wish he knew would never come true, as even his father was small compared to other Halloween creatures in his natural form. On a dreamy sigh he glanced up, noticing now a disembodied hand in the distance thanks to his new height, and between its glowing fingers was his bag of marbles. "HEY! THAT HAND HAS MY MARBLES!" Without thought his feet kicked a little and electric whirred from his tails. On a annoyed twist of lips he patted the dragons side eagerly and pointed, "AFTER IT!"

It likely would have done Tavi well had she taken her natural form earlier. Seeing how small the kitsune was in comparison only cemented the sense of hatchling to the dragon. He was tiny. He needed protection. He needed aid. Though she would have laughed--in her own, growling way--at his thoughts of eating one of his kind if she knew of such things going through his skull, she was silent while he approached. The steady pace of his was accepted without question, assuming it was only a side effect of the wind. As he climbed up--after snatching up her pin, Agsil was glad to see, she'd rather not deal with finding out what it took to replace those things...--she shifted a touch uneasily.

It was strange to feel someone sitting on her. It wasn't something she did typically. Tavi barely weighed anything. That wasn't the issue. Even feeling his hand lightly against her pitch scales wasn't bad... it was new. It was strange. Her neck twisted a little as she turned her head enough to watch him with one violet eye set against black sclera. "You are young, more than enough time to grow. I like you as you are, though." Shrugging lightly, trying to make sure she didn't throw Tavi off, she tensed to suddenly hear him shouting out. She turned in time to see the glowing, disembodied hand, her head cocking to the side as she wondered what exactly its purpose was.

A minipet? A mage's spell? Random figments?

Though Agsil was less than amused at feeling Tavi's feet kick against her, she moved forward both on the boil's command and her own purpose. Sooner Tavi had his marbles back, the sooner he would cheer up. The sooner he could go back to his dorm and rest up. Sooner all would be well and she wouldn't feel the need to hide everything away in her dorm.

Well. It would at least lessen the urge.

"Can you hit it?" Tavi with his foxfire after all... Or she certainly had enough ink for ammunition. Her clawed feet carved the soil as she moved, wings tucked to her body in a way to try and shield her passenger from the wind. This wind would be fun to fly in... but she wasn't sure Tavi would appreciate the sensation.

He blushed at her words, having not realized he said his own loud enough to be heard clearly. But as it was he was more embarrassed to admit to her that he was in fact a few hundred years old and perhaps even older than the dragon herself. Simply giving a shake of head he shrugged too and pouted before spotting the hand ahead of them. He too had wondered what the hand's purpose was and as it disappeared then reappeared a few feet away, he had to question if it wasn't a thefts spell.

Stealing his marbles!

The kitsune already was seeing red so as soon as Agsil began to move and then mentioned getting it, he was all over it. Leaning up slightly on the dragons back he reared a hand back, his fox lanterns were generally his own little toys but given they were made of foxfire they would burn if not handled properly. On a grunt of strain he let three balls of foxfire go, aiming at the hand. Though the first two missed as the hand disappeared the third hit and knocked his marbles free of the hand's glowing grasp. "Ah ha!" Tavi cheered nearly falling off of Agsil in the process as a gust of strong wind him hit.

"Hurry before it comes back!" He shouted, now noticing a few of the cutie pox dots on his hands now. The sickness had spread all over his body successfully, tired setting in more heavily now at the sight and from the usage of his natural ability. Slumping slightly again the dragon's back he kept his eyes on the marbles, ears flattened and hand up just in case he needed to fling another spray of foxfire.

One nice thing about a longer neck--it was easier to duck her head down to make sure Tavi's fire didn't singe her in the process. The dragon still tensed, unsure how wise it was in the aftermath to ask Tavi such a thing. Picking up her speed, something that was admitingly a little awkward in her current state. But the hand was gone, vanished for the moment. The last thing they needed was for the thing to reappear and snatch the marbles. And with Tavi's health drooping all the faster...

Agsil had little difficulty finding the need to thunder her way over to the dropped bag, not hesitating for a moment to bend her maw down to snatch up the object before the offending hand returned. Tail lashing behind her both in annoyance to the thief, and triumph of getting the object back, she turned to try and hand off the bag to her tiny rider. Out of the corner of her eye, she could see how he slumped a bit, and she knew it was time to head back. She could return to her other state with her pin, carry him back in her smaller form if need be. Just to hasten the process of getting him back to bed at this point.

Trying to shy away from the harsh winds, he tucked a little closer to Agsil's long neck. Using the dragon as a shield until they were at the bag of marbles. Waiting for his friend to stop, he slid down her side as soon as she did. Snatching the marbles eagerly the kitsune pulled the string to the bag open, peering inside to count each marble.

Two, five, ah!

They were all there! Tavi grinned happily, now looking much like an escaped creeper clown with as many spots that had shown up on him. Shaking his marble bag at the dragon firstly then on a shift he pulled her pin out. "Ok..now we can go back.." Giggling sheepishly, his better mood clearly showed. "Also..well...thanks ...btw!" Tavi waited until Agsil went back to a smaller form before leaning on her again and walking to the tram to head back to school.

On the way back the kitsune fell asleep against his friend leaving her to carry him back to his dorm for a good rest.
