In your first screenshot, go to the upper righthand corner of the platform parallel to the door and run right across the sand. You should make it to the other side. (Sorry I can't be of much help. I haven't played the 1st one in forever! whee )

start at the top, and run using the "up" and "right" keys.
that's what I did.

I've played and beat both....I hear rumor of a third some time ago, but nothing recently....

walkthrough by Merca was the most helpful to me..... not that i used it alot sweatdrop
