Roman set about fixing the balcony up for Sunrise Song. It had been a while since they'd gotten to spend any real time together and he wanted everything to be perfect. He scooted the wrought iron table closer to the edge of the balcony overlooking the gardens of their home. The night flowers were all in bloom. Their fragrances wafted up to the second story overhang. He saw to the chairs, fashioning extra padding for the two of them.
When everything was all set, he lit the candles he'd placed around the balcony and on the table. The ancient warrior beamed. It looked perfect. He hoped she'd like it.
I have everything ready for you, Piccola. The only thing that I am missing is you.
He sent her warmth and love through their bond. He needed this time with her. Without any children around to ask questions or interrupt them. Not that he minded his children. But it had been so long since he'd been alone with his lifemate.

Sunrise Song stretched her legs, before looking around their place that they called home, with the children all grown up and off doing their own thing, it gave her an oppurtunity to spend some one on one time with her warrior. She glanced at herself in a mirror to make sure she was presentable, it had seemed eons since she had spent anytime with her lifemate and she figured they both needed it very badly.
She briefly looked around before starting to head towards the direction she thought he would be. It seemed when they had night's in they would go to a particular balcony, where it had the perfect view of their garden and on instinct that was where she headed, she padded over to the balcony and saw familiar helmet and she smiled lightly to herself before approaching him. "Sorry, I'm late dearest, i was making sure i was presentable for you" she put in, with a swish of her tail.

He glided toward her, reaching for her hoof to bring it to his lips for a kiss. "You are always presentable in my opinion, Sunrise Song." Roman's smile reached his eyes. He was so lucky to have found her. She was his world. "I would vouch that there are times no one else should see you, but to me, you are always perfect."

She smiled as he glided towards her " ah, well my dear i can say no one else has seen me except for you and the children" she put in lightly. But, it felt good to be one with him, when they were distant she felt she was missing a portion of her person. She nuzzled into him " it almost feels like an eternity since we last spent time together" she put in.

He nodded as he nuzzled her. "I'm afraid so. But now with the children grown up, perhaps I can court you properly once again." He wrapped his arms around her. "It does feel like ages that I've been without you, Piccola. You bring a peace to me that I will always crave more of." Roman motioned toward the table. "Would you like to sit? I would be content to hold you, though that may not be what you find most comfortable."

Sunrise Song smiles to herself enjoying the warmth "that sounds very inviting" she told him and swished her tail to and fro idly before glancing at his set up "oh my,dearest this a beautiful set up" she said trying not to venture too far from him, they were apart long enough.

"I am pleased you like it." Roman led her over to the table and pulled out a chair for her. "I hoped it would be up to your standards." He winked at her.

She giggled lightly "I don't have that high of standards for a romantic dinner. I'm content with just enjoying your company" she put it before she settled into her seat he had pulled out. "What else is on your agenda for tonight?" She asked him lightly her blue eyes gazing at him as she waited patiently for his answer.

"I thought perhaps we might go flying after dinner." Roman smirked, "And after that...I thought that perhaps we could spend some time reminding ourselves just which parts we like about the other." He shot her another wink and sat down himself, reaching for her hoof across the table.

She smiled as she caught his hint "that my beloved is a wonderful idea. I'm sure there are lots of things about you that i would like to be reminded about." She said with a sultry smile and a wink. She extended out her hoof across the table and touched his.

He took her hoof in his, "You could convince me to skip dinner and the flight." Roman was elated. It was wonderful when they were both on the same page.

She thought about it for a second "i'm sure I will, but at the current time I could use some food in my belly, then perhaps I'll come up with creative ways" she told him, truthfully she was hungry and a nice meal would be good and get her mind working on how she could persuade him. As much as she wanted food, her body was telling her something else.

Roman was bewildered by her statement. "Food is unnecessary for us. If you need nourishment, I am willing to provide. I would rather provide than to see you feed off of some other male. The food at this dinner will provide us with no nourishment. It is simply a nice thing. I thought you would enjoy doing something normal couples did."
