Jenny...my husband is retired mil. NCANG then Army reserves after that, supply and rail ops. Don't be afraid, you are not alone. Do you have a family support group where you are? I found them to be very helpful. If not, maybe try starting one. Being with others that are in the same boat as you, you will find comforting. Anyway, I've known the feeling of him not being around. Granted their unit didn't send him overseas, but he had been gone for months at a time in Cali which is as far from home as you can get without a VISA since we are East Coast, and the last time was when my father passed away. I was a mad wreck...
Anyway. I'm here as well as the others in the guild I am sure!

Thanks and I have no one here I don't know anybody around here. I hate being away from him for long periods of time it's like my other half is missing and no matter what i do I'm never satisfied. He is wanting to go to the state trooper training and that takes 6 to 7 months and i can't be with him. It's almost like him being gone all over again. I hate the looks everyone gives me when they know he is gone, they look at me with pitty and they treat me differently.

Be strong and Be PROUD...who gives a crap what others think anyway? don't let them bother you. My husband has been called many names, and in my presence as well, when he was in uniform. But you know what? At least he STOOD up for what he thought was right. All the rest of the haters gonna hate, no matter, if its not the mil, then its something else. And I know it can be very lonely, I get that. But be proud of who you are married to, he is making a difference somewhere. Granted our gov is not what is COULD be, true that, but our military men and women do the best they know how. I don't see these other fools over there risking their asses so we can remain free of tyranny here.
