Hello~! We just opened our doors last month and have been slowly getting settled into place. Now we need more people that want to join us on staff as colorists. So if you're looking for a colorist position, take a look through this thread and then feel free to apply! We can't wait to see what everyone can do.
Open: March 1st
End: ??? (Remaining open for some time) Oh and there are just a few basic rules to follow, please.
1. Don't steal the lineart/templates.
2. Follow all Gaia T.O.S.
3. Follow all basic shop rules.
4. Respect the current staff and owners in the shop.
5. Be aware of the requirements for the position you apply for.
6. Be able to work with layers and have a program like Photoshop or SAI.

Before you apply, you should take a couple things into consideration. The shop is seeking dedicated workers, people with the time, talent and willingness to work for a B/C shop. You are expected to get your work done, hang around, be friendly and courteous, be fair and understanding and not abandon your work. You are expected to be able to finish everything in a timely manner and if you need to take a personal hiatus for any reason you need to alert Touches or Lupicula.
It's a lot to take on and think about, but would you rather work for a shop and watch it fail because staff can't keep up, or work for a thriving shop because staff is active?
All staff get the following perks
- 100% of ALL profits.
- Staff credits to use and buy customs/breedings/freebies with.
Requirements for ALL colorists include
- Color the lines
- Color the shading
- Clean up your work (no sketchy lineart/sloppy coloring on the final product)
- Able to handle medium/large work loadsMain/Edit Colorists
If you are seeking to become one of the main colorists, there are a few things you must be able to do.
- Color creatively.
- Work well with breedings.
- Edits, edits, edits.
- Participate in events.
- Reliability.
We will be trying to hire a good handful of full-time colorists of this position so long as we have the applicants for it.
Unedit Colorists
If you are seeking a spot as a flatsale/event or unedit colorist, there are only a few things to worry about.
- Color creatively.
- No edits. (You may practice, but anything you do edit wise will be approved by Touches/Lupi)
- Reliability.
We will be hiring a couple good full-time colorists of this position depending on applicants. People in this position do have the ability to be promoted up when Touches or Lupi deem they'll suit the position well.

So if you think you can handle the workload and want to apply, go ahead and use the following form! We'd like to see at least 3 samples on the provided lineart, plus anything else you've done for other shops or personal artwork. Lots of samples and work allow us to see your range!
Please don't make plans for the samples you provide us. We might ask you to use them for a flatsale or something. Thanks!

We are having an advertising contest to get word out about how Silver Lining is hiring. If you, your friends/family, anyone want to help advertise there will be a prize (or two?) to win in the end.
To qualify for points in the ad contest, you need to place a hiring banner in your signature for the entirety of the hiring event. If you remove it for a day, you don't get points for that day. Same goes if you forget to come record your points for the day. You will get one point for every day you have the banner in your sig and 5 points for every person that applies and mentions that they did so because of your banner/signature.

Why do you want to work for Silver Lining? Do you feel you can handle the responsibility?
I started getting into breedables because of an already started interest and then influence from Peter D. Hook on top of that. I've been watching this shop take shape, and I really enjoy the Kiku and feel that, although I'm untested in breedables, I can do well to design and create new Kiku for members of the shop. I also really enjoy the editing process from a stand point of being fun and challenging depending on what's being made. I also want to expand my design skills to include items I have more difficulty creating mentally and transferring to tablet of paper, like extremely precise and clean armor you see in mecha.

Well, I kept debating whether or not I wanted to be a colorist because I didn't think I'd get the hang of working with the lineart. But I've been practicing a bit and with some encouragement from Wicked, I decided to go for it! I think I can handle the responsibility well enough, and the lines are getting easier to work with the more I work with them.

If yes, who?: It wasn't really via signature, but I've been around since shortly after the shop opened because of Cinnamon Panda. They told me about this shop so I checked it out during a stream when her Kiku Artemis was being colored and I fell in love with the Kiku and chose to stay for good.
