Personality
- [ Many people’s first impression of Emir is that he is a charming, happy-go-lucky young man. He’s got big dreams and even bigger ambition to back it up. Emir can always look on the bright side of things for any situation he’s in, and he’s pretty competitive. He’s a natural athlete and is open to various sports but usually sticks to surfing since he likes the tans he gets. However, underneath his cheerful exterior Emir is rather cynical of others and reluctant to share much about himself with others. Secretive to a fault, he keeps everything under a ‘need to know’ basis and no one usually needs to know. Since he really only cares for himself, Emir is quick to dismiss the feelings of others and isn’t one to sugar coat his words for people. He’s got a callous tongue and will lash out at anyone when he’s in the mood. Emir is also a bit reckless, usually taking big risks for the big rewards. He deals with consequences later, or well avoids them. Despite the trouble he causes, Emir is quick to retreat. He doesn’t do physical fighting and depends only on his wit to defend himself. He’s never really had to defend himself with his fists and he’s not sure what would happen, but he’d rather keep his face looking perfect that battered and bruised. ]

- [ Usually he’s seen without glasses. He’s actually very embarrassed of his glasses. Emir makes a point to always look fashionable and polished. He likes looking his best no matter the situation. He’s a bit muscular and overall fit from working out in his free time. He holds himself with pride and always walks around with an air of superiority. ]
History
- [ Emir was born in Los Angeles, California. He was an only child constantly adored and spoiled by his parents. They were second generation Egyptians and he inherited their exotic looks. As a kid, he really loved summer and usually spent his days frolicking in the beach by himself. Emir had always been outspoken as a child and only really learned to reign is it in middle school. This only made him a playground bully target. He didn’t really know how to deal with bullying since tattling or fighting were equally tedious, so he simply avoided possible conflicts when things got a little too rough. He wasn’t left out of the Pokémon craze when the Japanese game swept through the entire country and for a while enjoyed brief period of time where he got along with most of his classmates and had actual friends. However, as children grew up and trends changed Emir lost most of old frenemies. Not that he really cared.
As he aged into a young teenager Emir simply adapted to avoid trouble. He laughed off anything unpleasant and focused on himself. His self-confidence became an almost invincible wall that could rarely be penetrated. Still the boy had few real friends he could call, well, friends. He considered the peers he usually hung out with merely friendly acquaintances and rarely ever counted on them. Emir has always been aware of his good looks and has always dreamed of being something great. During high school, he began a modeling career in search of extra cash to help his family out. Miraculously though, he had the opportunity to follow that career path. He began looking into the fashion industry to see what it could offer while his family shoved most of his earnings into a savings account. They kept him grounded, but in many ways Emir is a diva to the core. The extra cash only further fueled his secret Pokémon obsession. Without many friends to hang out with, Emir simply continued playing Pokémon throughout his childhood when the ocean got too cold to surf in.
With only Pokémon to guide the way, Emir quietly surfed the web looking up tips for whatever version he was playing. Over time he met people online he could talk with about things other than Pokémon. He even dares call some of them actual friends. Almost. He always talked about himself and his daily life vaguely and went under the alias ‘M’. He settled on modeling to start a name for himself. He’s thinking about becoming a fashion designer one day. Emir’s decided to take a small vacation from college to test play Ninetendo’s newest tech. After getting his own invitation, he immediately called his parents before setting up a trip. ]
