Personality: A man in an eternal battle with himself, Azlan's desires for love and acceptance is normally overshadowed by his dominating and controlling demeanor, and at times, his abusive side will show. Though this is not intentional. Combined with having severe trust issues, he tends to drive others away with his blunt way of speaking often being labelled as brutally honest and narrow minded. He speaks very little, but expressions can normally say what the mouth cannot.
Bio: Azlan grew up living in a large estate with his mother, who was widowed after the sudden suicide of his father. Unfortunately, Azlan's mother was very cold to him as the time moved forward, and the young adolescent grew to be cold himself. He found company among his many servants, some friendly and others... not so benevolent. Azlan, however, took particular interest in a young woman about his age named Elizabeth. Though a mere servant, Elizabeth found a way to break the class barrier and made a place that would be reserved in Azlan's heart forever. He married the woman against his mother's wishes and for a moment, Azlan felt as if he had finally found the love and acceptance he had been looking for.
Unfortunately, Elizabeth's true intentions were revealed when both Azlan and his mother were poisoned a month after their wedding. Azlan managed to survive the terrible ordeal, but his aging mother was not so lucky. Elizabeth, charged with murder and attempted murder, had confessed to the crime in order to inherit the family fortune. She was sentenced to death, cursing Azlan's life and family for years to come.
Suddenly feeling more lonely than before, Azlan's heart had hardened over the years and his outward attitude toward women had worsened with time. Feeling they are only after his money and position, Azlan had been convinced that no woman would ever love the man behind his self-created mask of egotism.
However there was still one woman he had overlooked within his grand estate. Carlotta.
Note other: Carlotta and Azlan are NOT an item, but she does have feelings for him and tends to be mischievous because of her jealous ways.
