Welcome to the Inner District's Tavern. Here you can drink any type of alcoholic beverage you can think of....for a price. We also serve non alcoholic beverages as well. Since this is a tavern anyone under 18 is not allowed to enter. Also, since this is a tavern of the Inner District, it is more like a restaurant in a few ways then a tavern. You may oder food if you wish but many come here to drink.

Elin DeraWhat am I missing?
Elin entered to the surprise of the crowd. She usually rarely showed up, and only to cast off drunkards, and very usually to tug out someone in trouble, or an under-aged miscreant. But now she sat with Wren, at a very nice and separated space for higher officers looking for sharp-eared intruders to be out of hearing distance. "Wren." she looked to the girl with a serious expression. "You are of age, right?" she quirked an eyebrow expectantly.

[Wren Harbinger] Wren took a look over the tavern and deducted that most everything would be fairly expensive by the ornate decorations filling the place. "Wow, this is nice," she said, tucking her chestnut bangs behind her ear. "I've never been to this one." Truthfully, she hadn't spent much time inside Wall Sina at all. The main reason she walked along the wall was because it was the furthest to walk to and had the least amount of leftover people in the afternoons.
She slid out of her tan jacket and tied it around her waist. Hell if she wasn't going to wear her wings in public. She smirked a little to herself. She hadn't seen another Scout in the bar. None of the other soldiers cared to receive judgement from upper class citizens.
When Elin questioned her age she realized just how little they knew about each other. "Oh, yes," she laughed briefly. "I'm 25, thought I may not look it." The brunette suddenly felt very conscious of her flat chest and thin waist. People often mistook her for being a young teenager. She looked down at her small hips somewhat sourly as they walked toward a back area, seemingly made to host senior officers. She wasn't very shapely, even compared to her smaller friend.
"Don't worry though," she looked up at the girl, grinning. "I can hold my alcohol."

Elin DeraWhat am I missing?
"Mm." she agreed, but, "This place seems nice, anyways. The night life tends to be unpleasant, but it gives me something to do on the weekends." Elin made a little happy humming sound. "But they're all either hung over today, or just taking the day off. I could certainly praise Mondays like today for that." the soldiers here did mostly act as high-class citizens. Some of them played soldier, and some kids seemed like good seeds, but this was not a good place.
Seeing the pale-haired brunette looking herself over a little, her brow furrowed. She was still surprised to hear twenty-five. "Ah, well, I should've guessed you were at least around 22, considering the minimum age requirements."
As they came to the more comfortable back area, Elin sat near to the bar so there wouldn't be too much time between drinks, one leg thrown over the other. With the speed of her sitting, one would imagine it would make a louder noise. However, her movements were quiet, and she had decided to neglect to share her age or drinking habits unless asked. "I hope you can--there is quite a lot, here."

[Wren Harbinger] Wren perched herself on the edge of her chair, bracing her elbows on the top of the table and resting her chin on the back of her hands. She eyed the wall across from them, looking over the countless bottles adorning the shelves there. Drinking was a popular hobby, especially among those who could afford to do it often.
"Yeah? The streets seemed fairly empty now that you mention it." She said, watching a waiter approach from around the corner. "Do you know what you're getting?" She asked. "I've only been to a few bars, so my knowledge of the selection isn't so great," she laughed quietly, pushing up the tight sleeves of her off-white shirt and leaning back in the large wooden chair. She'd also never been in one with a friend, on her own time. This was nice.

Elin DeraWhat am I missing?
Elin looked at her. "Can't help much there." she signaled the waiter over. "How about something sweet with a kick to loosen our nerves?" she simply inquired. It seemed fancy people often simply asked for a feeling rather than a brand or type of alcohol. Of course she'd drank some before she was even of age, but it was usually pretty gross. It would be better drinking with someone. Hopefully.

[Wren Harbinger] Wren giggled softly. "I'm not sure I could drink anything besides beer to be honest with you, I've got a surprisingly weak stomach for someone in my line of work." She laughed. Her natural sarcastic side was starting to show.
The waiter nodded politely to the girls as he approached the table, asking what they wanted to order. "Hm.. do you have pale ales?" she asked, looking up at the young man. He nodded politely, listing off a few brands. "Surprise me," she piqued, tucking her bangs behind her ear and away from her face and shooting the boy a small smile. He seemed a bit flustered, nodding his head and jotting her order down before looking over to her fox-like friend and asking her what she wanted.

Elin DeraWhat am I missing?
Running her tongue briefly across her upper lip, she thought about what she could want. She didn't have the time to study up on this sort of thing, even if she were old enough to have developed an interest in anything in particular. And by the sound of Wren, it seemed that there was no need to really care. "Ah, so you can't handle that sort of thing. I see." she taunted, smirking a little. The poor waiter wasn't ready to wait strange people in the higher-class section of the tavern. Usually, people made reservations. But there was no need today. Surely he just wanted to collect money for sitting around and doing some cleaning, but Elin intended to have him do work.
"Wellll..." she tapped her chin, thinking about it. "I'll have what you give her, but a bit stronger. I can handle it." she was having a devilishly good time already. Dera had to find out how much liquor she could handle at some point.

[Wren Harbinger] Wren couldn't help but belt a sharp string of laughter, blushing a little at how loud it had been afterwards. "Alright then, actually, I'll go ahead and get two of the strongest beer you have." she said, offering the boy a confident smile. She turned her gaze over to Elin and smirked, giggling a little.
"Oi, I'm braver than you might expect, Lieutenant." She chimed, sitting up a little straighter. The waiter nodded again, scribbling in his little notepad furiously. It was getting somewhat late by now, and he was probably out of patience for customers for the day. She had a feeling Elin and herself would be a rather pain in the neck for this poor kid. The thought made her giggle to herself.

Elin DeraWhat am I missing?
Elin sighed dramatically, folding her arms and closing her eyes breifly, shaking her head. "It would do you well to have respect for your superior officer. I'll match her." she made a little hand gesture that she'd learned in the underworld that meant 'and keep 'em coming'. The waiter looked pretty afraid of the cold demeanor that she gave off on that topic. As far as she was concerned, faster might very well be better. So much for a getting-to-know-you type night. "I don't doubt your bravery, but it seems I need to prove that I am, in fact, worth my brass."
And in came the drinks. She took a sip. Hot and fuzzy, but not disgusting like stuff she'd had in the past. "Lovely, hun." the waiter seemed so confused with this remark. The ginger hoped he'd just give up trying to get it soon.

[Wren Harbinger] Wren took a few sips of her drink and started swirling the bottle slightly, absent mindedly looking over Elin's shoulder and out the window across the room. "Oh, it's raining now," she said, quietly. "Hope it lets up by the time I have to walk back," she sighed heavily. Her ankles gave her a little detest, and she uncrossed them. "Got to cross the main gate an' all," she added, taking another drink. It tasted good. Dark and yeasty.
"So, Elin, what do you do besides humor lonely soldiers in your off time?" She asked, laughing somewhat nervously. "Also besides kicking around your coworkers," she added, gesturing toward the girl with the bottle in her hand before taking another sip. She hadn't eaten at lunch that day, and hoped her stomach wouldn't detest the alcohol too much.

Elin DeraWhat am I missing?
"Hmm." she turned her head toward the window then back to the pale-haired brunette, taking a larger sip. Certainly might make finding their footing getting out more difficult. Elin never cared for the rain. It was a personal preference, but unless something really amazing was going on outside, she wouldn't stick around in it.
She chuckled a little, starting to drink more healthy gulps. She still seemed calm, relatively stoic at the moment. "Usually I sit alone, work alone. When I'm not on my...search, I do very little. Give trainees a hard time, sure. The commander I try to understand, but yes, I suppose giving my soldiers a hard time is quite profitable to myself. I swim and train and, when I'm really lonely..." sip "I flirt."

[Wren Harbinger] Wren laughed softly at the girl's explanation. "My time is mostly spent training when I can find someone willing to spar with me," she said, pausing to take a drink. She set the now empty bottle to the side and opened the other one, looking down at the cap as she continued. "Other than that, I just.. well, wander around and draw until I get assigned a chore." She shifter her gaze back to the window.
"I don't share a room with anyone, so there's really never any reason for me to be there besides to sleep which, sadly, I don't do much of these days." She sighed, taking the first sip of her second drink.

Elin DeraWhat am I missing?
Elin sighed softly. "I suppose that makes us two of a kind, in many ways." she clung to her mug until it was finished, now. They were both very alone, with very mundane lives, waiting for something to happen, mostly just orders. It was depressing, and something that felt all too present now. It was something she always tried not to think of, instead spicing her life with rather pointless things. When would it end? She hoped here. Elin wanted to find a life, find love, find freedom...

Sometimes she'd see the older cadets drink. Seeing that is was quite popular among the older crowds she figured that she would not be allowed to it with her training and strict diet she was on till now. Of course, however, growing up with said diet makes you used to it to the point where it becomes natural. The only difference now is that she has more self restraint to the known sweets and goodies in Wall Sina and that she has an option to try a little bit here and there. Not really minding that her comrades may or may not have followed her into the tavern the young woman sits herself right up at the bar. "I'll have a small shot of.....whatever's really good," she says to the bartender. The man behind the bar looks at Marlie only to receive a slightly irritated look back. "How old are you?"he asks a bit curiously not sure exactly what age Marlie was at. "Ya'know it's not polite to ask a woman her age. Especially to me. I'm 18 now get me my drink," she commands sternly and annoyed that the guy would ask such a thing. "Sorry kid, gotta be 21. It's the rules behind this bar," he says before taking a glass and filling it up with water and setting it down in front of her. Marie looks at the guy with a questionable look and wonders why she didn't just say she was 21. Well, there are consequences if she did that. Officers really shouldn't be breaking any rules, however, Marlie isn't going to just lay herself down to this. How would she know that there was a drinking age. "I know for a fact that somewhere behind Wall Rose there is a bar and that bar I know I have seen girls younger than me walk out drunk as can be. All I'm asking is for a single shot," she argues with a slight angered look in her eyes. " Sorry kid, my bar my rules. Go to the bar in Wall Rose and get a drink but not here. I'll serve you anything non-alcholic but that's it." Marlie slams her hands onto the surface before her and says, "Really?!?! Think you're Mr. BIGSHOT since you make the rules around here?!?!" It is obvious that Marlie really doesn't like this guy ▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂
