A nomadic life style was not ideal for Thwayya. She'd fallen in love way back when and had a litter of her own but allas, it was not meant to be. The pride had come crumbling down and for a long while Thwayya found her self trying to fend for her self. She'd had to learn how to forage and hunt which back home was easy in larger numbers. You didn't go hungry if you didn't bring something back. Out here the story was not the same. The lioness had grown quite thin, but not deathly so.
Leaving the deserts had also been a must. There hadn't been much to hunt off of or drink. The lush jungles had proven to have plenty of both but also harder to navigate. Often the more tree skilled predators would beat her to a kill or steal it high up in the canopies. Not that Thwayya couldn't climb trees, she could, the lioness just wasn't in her element in them. Chasing after skilled leopards or lions through branches was often a sad sight for any creature watching when Thwayya was doing the chasing.
The plains were probably the most evened out and where Thwayya made her self feel the most at home. There were plenty of fair prey about and water but also a ton of competition. Thwayya held out as well as any single unorganized lioness might. But this was not fully home nor was this how the lioness wanted to live.
Today she'd managed to hunt down a dik dik. The creature was enough for a single lion, maybe, but barely. Greedily, the lioness licked the meat off of its bones. She'd not been successful in days.

Elsa was not too used to the rogue lands, as she spent most of her time in the snowy mountain terrain of her home. Or, more often, in the frozen valley, where her Kingdom lay. She was not willing to let it die, though, and knew that if she wanted it to survive she would have to take up the work the rest of the survivors were charged with. Hunting, gathering, and finding new blood.
She had to do her part, to prove that this was not something she wanted, not something she had brought down on to the pride, and not something she wanted them to suffer alone.
Elsa was tired, and felt hotter than she was used to. She was feeling very uncomfortable, and her body felt heavy. She padded along slowly and looked up when she caught the faint scent of food. Someone had a fresh kill, but it was obviously all gone now. She saw the lioness and the bones, frowning for a second but gathering herself and approaching slowly.
"Hello," she said almost timidly, nodding her head.

Thwayya had been licking the bones in a most sloppy manner by the time a blue lioness showed up. Really, Thwayya could have licked those bones dry for hours if it hadn't been for the soft hello. This caused Thwayya to freeze mid lick and pause for a moment as her eyes scanned the area to find just who or what had greeted her. A lovely blue lioness of the likes the lioness had not seen before caught her eye. The tongue slowly rolled back in to Thwayya's mouth and the dik dik's skeleton was pushed a little closer to the lionesses chest. A bad habit of being extra careful with food, no matter how little or much, that Thwayya had picked up while living the nomadic rogue life. Thwayya was not the proud dawn walker she once was. "Hello ?," Thwayya's greeting was a tad confused. It been a while since she'd actually said hello to another feline let alone lion. "Is there something I can help you with?" And like that her manners were found. A bit.

The overheated ice blue lioness offered the other a timid, thin smile. She was feeling rather weak, tired, and she wondered if she had been out in the sun too long, too soon after her very long stay in the snow. She could not remember the last time she had traveled this far into the rogue lands, and stayed there for this long.
It was not agreeing with her, in any way.
"I was just passing by... and saw you had a small meal. I... I suppose I thought..." She looked down at the ground, her ears drooping down and her eyes not leaving the patch of dry grass at her paws. She sighed, feeling silly for getting excited about a slight whiff of food. Maybe she was more hungry than she thought.
But she was out here for others.
"I'm sorry, I guess I let my stomach do the talking there. I'm not familiar with these lands... is there a good place to hunt nearby? Or... or maybe some shade?"

"Oh.. I erm... You caught me at the tail end of this meal I'm afraid. Mostly bones but.." Thwayya looked down at her meal and frowned. There wasn't enough on these bones to feed a bird. Still, Thwayya nuzzled it towards the well spoken lioness. This lioness was quite soft spoken and well mannered which made Thwayya feel a tinge of guilt for not having much but bones to offer the blue lioness. However the tone was a welcomed change from the usual conversation Thwayya found her self in time and time again. It was a dog eat dog world out here but this lioness had manners despite that. Thwayya respected that. She returned the blue lionesses smile with one of her own. "I'm sorry to disappoint you but if you're wanting good hunting you probably should have a few more lions with you. There are tons of wandering herds for the taking. But there are tons of equally hungry predators that will just take what they want out here." The smile Twayya had offered earlier turned in to a soft sad one. "Oh no, you really do look like you're over heating. Follow me. There is a tree over yonder you can rest under" With that, the lioness was on all fours. She started to walk in the direction she was sure the tree was in.

Elsa smiled and nodded her head gently, looking very tired and a little disappointed. She could hardly have expected a stranger to share their food with her, even if there was some left, but she was in a bit of a predicament. She felt guilty for asking, and bowed her head a bit out of appreciation for the other lioness not just snarling and attacking her to get her to leave.
She did smile when the other nudged her hard won bones toward her, shaking her head and feeling a new wave of guilt fall over her. It must have been hard hunting here, and this was all the other had managed to get. She didn't look much better off than Elsa, after all.
"I'm sorry, I didn't realize this place was so difficult... it's been a long while since I've come out this far..." Which was not a total lie, though a long while was not as accurate as it could have been. She'd never been out this far. She watched the other get up and then made to follow her, but wobbled and her legs gave out from under her.
Maybe running out into the sun after ages of hiding in the snow was not the best idea she'd ever had.

"So you aren't a wandering rogue. Well that explains the manners." Well to be fair not every lone rogue in the rogue lands was all bad. Thwayya wasn't all bad for example. But living out here did give a feline a certain edginess they might not otherwise have. Manners weren't the most common. The tree was now in sight and not to far off. It awkwardly sat in the middle of vast plains. This tree was large and its branches as great size which offered a good amount of shade. Thwayya was used to the desert and found it odd that this lioness was hot. "Do you come from a place that is cooler? I'm an ex desert dweller my self." The tree was even closer now.

"N-no, not a rogue. I come from a pride in the snow and the cold. I've been there since I was a cub and have only visited the colder, or at least cooler, areas around the mountains... I'm not used to the sun being so bright. I don't think I've had enough water since leaving."
She smiled sheepishly and pushed herself back to her feet, following the lioness to the tree slowly. She sighed in profound relief as she reached the shade of the tree, sitting down against the trunk of it and letting her body cool down. The layers of fur she had were not suited to this sort of place for extended periods of time, she decided.
"My name is Elsa. Thank you for helping me, it's been a strange journey. I am the Queen of the Frozen Isle, as most call it now. You said you lived in the desert? I can't imagine how hot it gets there, I've never been to one. Why did you leave it, if you don't mind me asking?"
She didn't want to pry, but with such a difference between them, sun and snow, she couldn't help but be curious about the other's story.

Well that explained quite a bit. A pride in a cooler area would for sure probably make a lion sweat out in a terrain out like this. Thwayya felt bad for the lioness. "I've never seen snow. I've heard rumors about such stuff but never seen it. They say it is what makes the top of mountains white and that it is very cold." Thwayya couldn't imagine such a thing or a place but she'd heard numerous rumors so there probably was some kind of facts there. Here was a lioness from that region and she was pretty uncomfortable in the likes of a place like this. "Oh you'd not like the desert if you aren't a fan of out here. It is far hotter and covered in golden sands that bake through the day. My pride was lucky to have been settled in the ruins of temples where we could get out of the sun if need be. However the deserts can be cool at night. Night and day are almost exact opposites." She took a breath and smiled. "My pride disbanded and many families left. It wasn't a good place to survive on ones on you see. There is not an abundance of food if you're a single body. " Thwayya tilted her head at the lioness. "I don't want to get to personal but... why are you all the way out here? It seems a bit extreme to travel so far from your own climate."

"Snow is really beautiful," She said sheepishly. Maybe she was a little bias, considering she was the color of deep ice and a snow flake stood out against her fur. She had always loved the snow, even after it froze the pride and she was considered cursed because of how terrible it could be. She could not blame that on the snow itself.
It was just beautiful, just nature. It was constant and steady, and it had no motive. It was pure, and could never be cruel without reason. Everything about it was meant to balance: it was up to them to learn to live with what the weather presented, and respect their land. Maybe that was why their pride had been made to suffer so.
But she was at least glad they were still there. The idea of even the small number of families that lived in the island leaving, having no home, made her sad and her ears drooped.
"I'm very sorry to hear about your home," she said gently. She seemed like such a nice lioness! It was not fair, to hear she had been made to live alone, to fend for herself, because her home fell apart. "I'm out here to help my home. We are very few... and I was hoping I might find some others who would help us rebuild, who could make our island a pride again."

Snow was beautiful huh? Thwayya believed that it was. A place covered in white sounded as appealing as the beautiful tan golds of the desert. Thinking about snow some how got her back to thinking about sand. Maybe they were alike? She didn't know. "Ah, it happens. we were a well lived pride. It is sad but it is also what happens from time to time. My story is no more special than a lot of the creatures out here on their own," She sighed. "You're looking to rebuild your pride?" Thwayya looked thoughtful, "Well if you wanted .. I wouldn't mind helping out. I'm not familiar with the cold but I am more than sure I could adjust if need be."

"Oh!" Elsa looked very excited for a moment, then remembered she was a Queen and tried to contain herself, nodding her head and smiling, looking regal and graceful despite her very near outburst of bouncing for joy.
"Oh, I would be in your debt if you at least came back to the pride lands and took a look. If you didn't like it, you could always come back down here. It's very nice of you to offer, and I really appreciate it." She bowed her head at that, and her words were sincere. She knew there was a long road ahead of them, but every little step helped. One new face at a time was almost more than she could ask for.
She smiled at the other brightly, feeling much better now that she had her break, and a little bit of hope. Even if she had not eaten yet. She could make it back to her home before really needing to find something.
"We can go whenever you'd like!"

The modesty displayed was humbling to Thwayya and she had no idea that in front of her was the queen she was speaking with. Thwayya couldn't help but beam at the blue lioness. She was very kind and had a gentleness to her. Very refreshing after dealing with so many lone wolf rogues. "It would be my pleasure of course. My name is Thwayya and it is a pleasure to met you." Oh name exchanges. How had she'd almost forgotten about that? Being in the rogue lands there was no real need for introductions most of the time Thwayya supposed. "I am ready to go when ever you feel rested enough." This was super exciting for the lioness. Living in a pride was ideal living in her humble opinion.

Alpaca Chobi I think that wraps it up for this one! Elsa smiled and nodded in greeting. She had offered her name earlier, but was glad to know who she was speaking with now.
"That's a very pretty name," she said softly.
The Queen rested for a little while longer, but felt strong enough to try the journey back sooner rather than later. She got to her feet and led the way, excited to be bringing someone back to the pride, and to simply show off the place she loved so much.
For all its fault and bad luck, it was a beautiful place that Elsa knew could be beautiful and full of life once again. And to share it with someone else was enough to bring her a lot of happiness, something she had not been able to feel in some time.
