Azya hit the ground hard, stone and root lunging into the white cold flesh of his back announced by the trumpets of pain. His fingers dug into his pouch, rats liver and cursed bone. The ingredients for a curse that would render his foe an easy target to the sinister arts unique to a necromancer of his caliber, sudden pain lanced into his wrist in a whirlwind of color as a tremendous weight fell upon him flatting his hand into his pouch as Hiroko moved to pin him under a weight impossible from such a tiny frame. Where this power had come from was a mystery to the necromancer, he could not see nor sense its presence yet it held him as firmly as a giants fist.

From his right arm his wrappings slid free from the ugly appendage below, slender bone and loose tendons rather then the smooth white skin that adorned the rest of the slender man. His right hand was a terrible reminder of what he was, from the forum up it was a working appendage only by the will of his necromancy, a fully functioning limb even without flesh or muscle. The strange silk lunged forward, smooth as a snakes strike it tore past Hirokos defenses, wrapping about her limbs, hungry for her throat and the living blood that flowed so freely within it. Elation flooded the necromancer, he could taste the kill, He would bury his clawed skeletal hand into her chest and resurrect her to his will. Perhaps she could serve in protecting Jade and himself then he would allow her spirit to pass on and her body to rot.

Instead he felt the wind knocked from his chest, his cursed right arm grasping her sword by the blade moments before it buried into his shoulder, of his silk wrappings nothing remained but tattered shards that hung in the air as if gravity had forgotten to make them fall. His mouth filled with blood, his limbs already cold in undeath became ice as her boot impacted his throat, if he had any need for air his face would have become that of a man struggling for the most basic aspect of any living things survival. Instead however it became a mask of cold hatred.

Since meeting Jade he had been unable to transform into the litch, not fully at any rate. Every time they touched he could feel a little bit of his humanity return to him, but it came at the price of the savage power the keeper had given to him. The litch was slowly fading inside him, even in the frenzy of a fight he could not really hope to win he could feel the slow sluggish movement of his blood that had been still for years.

“ENOUGH AZYA! Please I need that litch inside you to stop the keeper! Cant you see? He’s destroying everything! Stop being such a pain in the a** already!” She yelled at him, her nine tails rising behind her making the tiny woman all the more comical regardless of his position in the matter. Of course she had some kind of fox deity inside her, it stood to reason given some cultures affinity for the tiny rodents, however the tailed rat could not hope to defeat his dark master even with his Litch to back her up. “Why would you even want it inside you! Its evil!”

“Foolish whore. You preach your views on life as a little girl argues with her father about a cow set for butcher. You see white and black, evil must perish and your good must rise. You would deny my litch the right to live regardless of what hypocrisy you bring upon yourself in the action.” A strange green light was glowing from between the bones of his fingers, the blade trapped in his cursed hand began to vibrate. Hiroko used a demonic blade, the very nature of that blade answered to the keeper, though Azya had no power over it he could resonate with it, downplay its edge, it was a small act but all he could do not to be run through. “Evil you say, the litch is acting in its nature. Would you deny the bear the right to kill? Perhaps you will ask the flowers not to grow because they devour precious sun light?!”

His voice was now a deep hiss, a wonderful sound between fury and his strange eastern accent. He could feel her put just slightly more weight into the blade, she was so powerful now it slipped through his fingers and into his shoulders drawing from his a tortured scream. “It is people like you who brought us to the brink of destruction at his hands, can you not see that even with such wisdom? The Keeper is what happens when things like you trapped death in a cage for thousands of years and expected it to sit silently like a punished child. How can you be surprised so surprised he wants to remake the same planet that condemned him so?” The blade tilted deeper, pinning him to the earth.

“I am taking that litch from you Azya, one way or another. You can spout your nonsense all you like it changes nothing”

She was reaching for him, he could feel her powers hungrily reaching out to the dark beast curled up inside him. Azya was powerless, almost lifeless against her might.

Soft pale light bathed the sun scorched earth before the city, huge foreboding shadows stretching like fingers from the tall re-enforced walls that encircled the lively hood of so many hundreds of thousands of lives. This was a testament to Humanities strength, the combined effort of so many to generate a single place of life in an otherwise barren landscape. ‘Strange’ it wondered, gazing upon the irony of creating such a place of life and creativity in a place so enshrouded in death and desperation such as this desert. Ah humanity.

Ever since the strange earth had appeared above their heads not long ago this city had acted accordingly, for it was not the first disaster of strange happenence that had appeared to these mortal men and women. The conflict between gods, dragons and magical beings was common place, however they had survived all this and continued to thrive in their desolate garden of Eden kept safe by tall walls and men with spears.

Two of these men stood before the main gait, each tall and proud of his post knowing full well the importance of their position. Above them rays of gold light passed over their shiny helmets as a guard above leaned over the tall walls to call down, sparks dancing from his lantern to fade into nothingness as they drifted towards the two men. “Boys, ya got an incoming male, walking down main road. Cant make him out in the dark but he’s alone, not a threat”

One of the guards looked upwards, his white teeth shining between the folds of his gruff beard. Tony, or as his buddies called him, mule, because he was a stubborn son of a b***h. Good in a fight and excellent with strategy and even with all his skills he would never ascend in ranks because he was to stubborn to shave the beard that graced his chin. “Alright Edd” The light vanished as the guard above them took a step back to once more ascend the tower upon the wall, a bell hung at the top encase of emergency.

Turning to face the road the two guards gave each other a look before standing at attention, their slender spears rising as a lone figure approached them. Tony’s eyes narrowed as the stared at the moving shadow he took for a man, sweat stinging his eyes and a slight shaking of his hand made his spear jump erratically. Why was he afraid? He was a seasoned veteran, compared to the things he had seen guard duty of the main gate was the farthest thing from frightening. “Oye halt friend, whats your business in Kass City”

Silence. The shadow continued to move forward. So intent was his gaze upon this strange man he failed to see the darkening of the world about the figure, as if this being was eating the life out of the very air. “Hey! I said h.HALT!” Tony’s voice shuddered between his lips, his commanding voice turning sounding like the mewing of a child.

“Humanity”

A voice like none other, so cold and dead it struck him like a blade. The disgust in that voice spreading fear in his body like a rampant disease. “A.aarchy” he whimpered his spear falling from his limp fingers as he called to the other guard whom had been stationed with him. “k.kill i.i.it” He heard the sickening sound of someone choking on their own blood followed by a girggling sound that resembled laughter.

Tearing his wide eyes away from the approaching figure he gazed at his ally, a moan of fear gracing his lips as something warm and wet filled his leggings. “Oh..Oh gods” he stumbled back, unable to look away from the sight of his friend whom was continuously ramming his own spear into his throat, his face twisted in mindless amusement and pain. Though blood and flesh seeped from his savaged throat he seemed no where close to death, as if he was locked in the eternal torment of the agonizing act for all time.

Cold breath pressed against his cheek, his metal helmet suddenly feeling constricting and cold. His vision growing blurry, as if he was staring into a snow storm. Slowly he turned his head, in a manner one would expect a child to peer over the covers when he expected to find something standing over his bed in the middle of the night.

Atop the wall the sound of a bell ringing frantically roared to life, the still sleeping city suddenly awoken with the rude interruption of promised violence. Their was a scream so pure and terrible it rose over even the sound of the massive bell, a long single note that seemed impossible to have come from the throat of either of the guards stationed below them.

The sound of the bell suddenly slowed to a lower pitched thumping noise, the sound of wet flesh striking the hallowed instrument over and over as opposed to the great club normally used for the sounding of the bell. Upon the other side of the wall rows of armed men lined up, the first line kneeling to give way to the second so that spears could be stacked upon one another. “What the hell is Eddy doing with that bell?” Yelled an officer, his eyes intent upon the tall stone gate. “Archon get up their and---” his voice drifted away to give way to a silent curse “what in the seven hells!”

The stone gate had begun to crumble, stone symbols written by their mages proving worse then useless before what ever dark powers had taken hold of the stone gate. Though it was impossible the stone seemed to actually be rotting, crumbling under its own weight and with it the wall fell, releasing an enormous plum of smoke that drifted over what now seemed a woefully inadequate defense.

“Like ants, tiny insignificant ants. Unworthy of death and sickening in life.”

A voice colder then a swords edge in winter and so lacking in mercy blanketed a town of millions, eating into the souls of the living and leaving behind only raw fear, exposing them to the unearthly powers the assaulted them. Guards tore at themselves and each other, insanity and fear breaking their minds and throwing them into terrible acts of violence and suicide that never seemed to release them to the calmness of death.

Before a wall of dust and debris only the officer stood unaffected by the immediate wave of insanity that came at the sight of the tall shadow stepping out of the fog generated by their defenses crumbling. He found his mind flashing back to the family at home, his pregnant wife and gentle father taking his decline in graceful strides. His hopes for a bright future above his officers post, the desire to raise his children and grow old just as his father before him had.

He found no comfort in this somehow the presence of this being had tainted these thoughts. Rather then joy he felt resentment. His wife had tied him down by becoming pregnant, his father ate the food he brought home with his own sweat and blood, the child of his blood wined without end always demanding more. What had he done to deserve such a terrible existence, why did they have to ruin everything! If it wasn’t for them he would be a better man!

He could have had all the women he wanted, spent his money in any way he pleased and whored and drank with the rest of his friends. He was a man not a money generating pet, ah at last he knew the truth and soon he could remedy the disease that was family. Under the steel helmet marked with official gold the officers eyes were wide and glassy, tears streaming over his cheeks as he turned down the street away from the approaching figure. The deaths of his family would bring him eternal happiness, his feet struck the ground painfully, his knees snapping under his sudden frantic movements as he ran back to his home.

Soon the pain in his heart would be slain with the deaths of those whom lived on him like parasites. His boot trashing the door to his own home till it burst open in a flurry of wooden spikes that littered the floor, snapping as he entered his own home like a conquering villain. A fire had been lit in the hearth, his wife holding his young son against the swell in her stomach, his thin father whom had jumped from his seat was holding an ancient sword in one hand.
“Oh you scared me son, I heard the bell! Do we need to ru- Son why are you looking at me like that”

No matter how many times he stabbed, slashed, bit and crushed they would not die. This feeling of dread and terror would not leave him until they were dead, yet the more he mangled their bodies it seemed the deeper his horror was. His wife had become nothing but a puddle of dissected limbs and grotesque organs and yet still she screamed, even the unborn child screamed. STOP SCREAMING AND DIE!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The keepers shadow stalked up the main road of this enormous town with the cold resentment of a predator. About him lay the perfection of his work, littering the once lively grounds of this city like so many pieces of art. All matter of human suffering roared up from this place, a mixture of laughter screaming and mindless chattering. Terror infected the minds of those around the keeper like a plague, millions of lives torn asunder in seconds. Yet he denied them death, no peace or rest for these souls. They had refused his gifts all their lives and now they seemed so hungry for the embrace of death in the wake of the agony that could only be birthed in life.

He had taken them to the edge of death, allowed them to peer into the perfection and comfort of oblivion and then denied it to them, forcing them into terrible actions to invoke incredible agony of both mental and physical nature for all eternity. It was not just humanity that felt this, the very ground under his feet, the oxygen in the air, it was all tainted. Even the life giving properties of the carefully human fed dirt became dead and empty as the dry dead plants it used to give life to.

Eyes so terrible to look into words simply cannot describe drifted upwards to the strange sky sporting the foreign planet. Plans had been set, thoughts slid into the foolish minds of being that considered themselves free of deaths embrace. The game had revealed itself and he was winning. Soft laughter escaped his dark lips at the joy he felt as the world around him turned in on itself in a show of terrible savagery. At his feet the forms of several creed from the other planet whom had come from him cowered, their bodies torn asunder by mere thoughts invoked by the dark god.

They had come to purge this planet of evil, to strike away the taint of so many mistakes and make all things here a mere image of their own creation. Instead they had obliterated the bars holding back the truest and purest form of taint imaginable, set in motion dark plans that did in fact extend to their own living population. To these holy knights he forced his plan inside, infected their purity with his taint and forced their minds to snap under the mental strain of knowing their own mistakes.

His shadow passed over these crumbling beings without care, behind him a wave if suffering and desperation flooded the earth in a shadow capable only of the Keeper. Where he walked the earth melted into footprints, direct contact with his being left marks so it would be impossible to ever wash away even the scraping of his toenails. At last the dark god came to the end of his casual walk, his feet now wading in pools of ever living blood and ruined bodies twisted in agony.

Before him stood the open world, a great desert that he knew gave way to the soft vegetation of that marked the beginnings of the Palaces grounds. It was fine symbolism, here he stood at the edge of a ruined city in a great desert facing the direction of a grand forest generated by pure life energy.

He could feel the chaos of life tainting his perfect vengeance, the corruption of indestructible willpower and the sin of goodness. However he could taste the satisfying taste of his own incredible power, at the very least these fools could sustain his interest long enough for him to decide just what he wanted to do with all these pathetic souls.

Raising one shadowy arm he summoned up an appearance he thought suitable for the task at hand, discarding the eerie appearance of the shadow whom had so easily obliterating an armed city. Flesh and bone formed, a beating heart and a face. Though he created these things only to give himself a vessel to walk in, to interact with other beings more appropriately. In truth his body was nothing more then a meaty sack of flesh and blood he used to walk around in, to injure it would mean absolutely nothing.

His eyes opened, terrible dark eyes beyond words or imagination, invoking the very essence of incredible dark power. Hatred radiated from that gaze like a physical thing, The Veil had been destroyed, darkness had escaped and now the Keeper stood upon this earth. Curious, he could feel another source of death, apart from his own, hunting him from its world. This would prove most enjoyable.

                                   .
                                  ................ .

                                  'Dammit!'

The pain in the white haired witch's stomach was excruciating as the life within her, already as strong as a toddler, demanded to be acknowledged and released, even despite the fatality such a concept would cause. Pewter eyes closed tightly as the woman put her porcelain hand gently upon her belly, silently pleading the child within her to calm down. She was only two months pregnant but the child growing within Jade's core was no ordinary child.

Born to necromancers and defying all laws of magic, this child was growing in strength by the minute whereas an average child would grow by the day, the week. The silver haired witch had insisted that her lover, Azya, move onward without her, insisting she had a stomach bug she wanted to work out alone. He still had no idea she was with child. She was nervous about how he'd respond as it was believed to be impossible for him to produce life.

Jade was a woman of incredible beauty and mental strength, she'd survived what most women would never even dream about, was kissed by insanity and came out unscathed, well, mostly. But the possibility of Azya rejecting their child was something she could not bare, so she waited until a serene moment when she could finally reveal the 'impossible' to be not only possible but true.

As the child within her calmed down to the sound of its mothers gentle humming, Jade finally got the strength to continue walking and meet up with her love. She braced herself on a tree trunk as she took her first few, staggering steps, and wiped the sweat from her brow. It was always on the forefront of her mind if she was strong enough to house such a powerful child within her womb. At the rate he was growing he'd likely punch a hole through her rib cage before the due date. But this could not detour her in her ultimate goal to be the mother of her one love's child.

Ahead she heard sounds of conflict, of angry pleads and demands, then she heard her lover scream in torment. This made her quicken her pace to nearly a sprint. It took nearly no time at all for her to be able to make out words; she heard her lover's satiny voice ring out coldly, "...he wants to remake the same planet that condemned him so?”

“I am taking that litch from you Azya, one way or another. You can spout your nonsense all you like it changes nothing”

That was Hiroko's voice. She nearly stumbled over an exposed root as she hastened her pace, holding her stomach to keep her baby calmed. She could see them now, Azya pinned, Hiroko's sword looming all too close for comfort to her man's body.
"And just what right are you acting upon, Hiroko?" Jade's voice rang out from the trees, commanding and powerful yet still holding that elegant grace she always spoke with, even despite the shaking of her voice due to the rage within her words.

She slowed her pace now as she came to the small clearing the struggle was taking place in.
"Lower your sword, Hiroko." Jade's gaze was one to kill, one that only a fool would dare to challenge. But apparently, Hiroko was a damned fool. She shot a look to Jade that spoke volumes. Do not interfere, it screamed, but Jade was stubborn to the very last drop of blood in her body. The sheer nerve of this woman...

Jade and Hiroko had always fought over her insane dislike for Azya, although some of it was justifiable, the way she went about it was not nearly acceptable, especially not for Jade's definition.
"I said..." Jade's grey eyes were now swirling with gold, her pupils dilating, the shadows of skulls slowly forming within them. Her anger was becoming apparent. "Lower your damned sword, Hiroko!" She spat the name as she kicked the woman's hand, forcing the sword to fly from her hand, turning to dark ash in the air as the demonic blade was severed from it's owner's grasp. Hiroko could easily summon the blade again but Jade's anger was something even a stubborn wench as herself would not dare threaten.

Realizing the aching in her hands as her bones trembled, begging to realign to take on her accursed shape, Jade took a deep breath and controlled herself, for the sake of the life within her. She was terrified of becoming that monster while she bore the infant within her, terrified it would be marred by dark magics.

Jade's gaze turned back to it's somber grey as she looked down at Azya on the ground, her eyes asking if he was alright. She then looked up to Hiroko,
"What right do you think you have to take a part of him?" She shoved the ******** woman away from Azya, allowing him the space he needed to stand. "What is the meaning of this, Hiroko?"

His wrist flexed under her knee, renewed strength coursing through the slender black silk, it writhed and twisted and still could not even dent the barrier between it and the soft throat of the woman on top of him, it hissed and growled like some cross between a serpent and a lion and still it was useless. Her new found powers had made the tiny woman incredibly heavy and already he could feel numbness spread across his hands, his blood unable to circulate properly, a very strange feeling for the necromancer whom only recently had felt his first heart beat since claiming the litch so long ago. The woman was basically a fat man stuffed to the point of some horrific meat explosion all shoved inside the slender cat dragon fox what ever it was thing that was Hiroko.

Azya felt his willpower quake against ever present shadow that sat over his soul, the litch without will yet somehow not mindless pushing with surprising gentle urging for control. He knew once he gave into it the inevitable would happen. It would feel as if hot knives tore the flesh from his body and powerful fingers tearing his face from his skull like removing a mask. His bones would break and reshape, his internal organs burn away in green unholy fire as the litches corruption spread he would scream and writhe in silence until finally he sat in perfect darkness. Curled into a little ball, at peace to allow the litch to live in the world he suffered every day. As comforting as that may seem given his situation to do so would not only draw the eye of the keeper but allow him almost instant control of the Litch, with the Keeper walking this world once more he feared the result of such an action.

“You blind fool, power you may have but I can see it did nothing to improve your mental state” The hiss of his voice sounded hollow, like the chime of a bell. This was likely due to the effect the shear presence of the woman was having on the surrounding area, he felt as if he was deep underwater witness to the ever present crush of pressure. Yet he was not impressed for he had felt this and so much more, when he had stood before the keeper on the day he traded humanity for undeath. “Your pretty fairy magic will crumble, I will enjoy watching him devour you. I imagine your screams will last a long time, longer then you think possible and only when you can scream no more will your suffering truly begin.” He spat at her, hateful saliva burning on her shield inches from her face, a light blue ribbon of colour running between them for a moment leaving behind a flash of light that only deepened the lines of disgust that drew a loathsome mask on Azyas face. Her hand was almost at his face, it would only take seconds for her to tear it away from him, for her it would be like taking candy from a baby.

“And just what right are you acting upon, Hiroko?”

He turned in head just as the weapon turned to ash, black flecks dancing past his face before they were caught in the wind and torn away from his view. He could almost touch the mutual hatred between these two women, so palpable it was he almost forgot the hand on his throat. almost.

You can have all the power in the galaxy but if you have your body weight on a sword and that sword suddenly turns to ash, your going to have a moment where all your weight is rushing to the ground. He would have loved taking advantage of that, to tip her over and drive a spear of black silk into her belly, infect her with necrotic influence and force her to skin herself and worse before finally ending her. A silly fantasy mostly due to the hand at his throat that tightened as she regained balance but also partly because this woman dead would just narrow down their chances of defeating the keeper even farther.

His death meant so very little, and Hirokos wasn't even on the radar, regardless they would both find themselves in keepers grip at some point. However that was a fate he simply would not allow for Jade, if it came to it he would barter with the lord of death himself, at any cost she would not be taken. However if Hiroko and perhaps some of the other stalwart defenders of the palace should have some small chance of success who was he to get in the way of that, so long as he took no part in their scheme.

Then Hiroko was off him, he drew in a deep hungry breath. His eyes wondering over to his beloved.... the skulls.

Oh s**t.

Hiroko stood slowly, with the controlled grace of a spurned cat, her ears twitching with irritation, thats right irritation not fury. Her clawed fingers flexed bringing to life her slender demon blade once more in a whirl of ashes and sparks. She held her gaze with Jade, bringing forth her best ‘dont you ******** ******** with me you ******** ********’ stare. Her nine tails moved to pin the necromancer to the ground only to find empty space where he had been a moment before, somehow he had managed to stand and take several steps just out of her ability to strike him with sword or tails.

“How can you still be with this monster Jade?” She implored trying to keep the anger from her voice and failing miserably. “After everything he has done! Its his master that threatens us after all!”

Unafraid she stepped closer, ignoring Azya as if he was no more important then the grass under her feet. How dare she touch her, she was a chosen god to fight the keeper himself. “I need his Litch, its the only way to slow the collision of planets” She gestured her hand up to the sky as if to remind Jade of their predicament.

The sky was now a brilliant fire orange, though it told of a grisly end for this earth it was also incredibly stunning to look at. An entire planet trapping in their atmosphere, ever so slowly approaching them. Chances were the Keeper had slowed the process to a crawl of his own intent, it was not his way to simply destroy and be done with it. Oh no, he would make them watch helplessly, give him plenty of time to make them suffer before finally snuffing out their lives.

“Hes just one...” she seemed on the verge of saying monster, but instead “...man. His death means so little against the rest of this planet... Give him to me Jade. I will draw that taint from him like poison, maybe he will even survive.”

Unlikely, perhaps if she had time but given all that had happened she knew he had to die. besides the man was more monster then human now, removing the litch would be as good as tearing out his heart. Even without the Litch he was dangerous, a servant of the Keeper. Her gaze drifted to the Necromancer, he was watching her with undisguised hatred. No not hatred, disgust. Bah what did he know, she would laugh in his face when she slew the keeper, he would watch his precious master removed from this world for good. Perhaps then he would be able to see just how things really were.

“Jade dont make me go through you just to get him, I swear I will kill you if thats what it takes”

                                   .
                                  ................ .

An eyebrow raised as Jade stared at Hiroko in curiosity. Surely this woman could not think she possibly had a chance of standing against Jade. Surely, the witch was not as strong as she once was, especially given her current, impregnated state, but with Hiroko unaware of this disability, she was acting mighty ballsy. After a moment of assessment, she realized that Hiroko was, in fact, very serious.

“Jade don't make me go through you just to get him, I swear I will kill you if that's what it takes.”

The threat rang in Jade's ears, reverberating as the chiming of a bell one heard for the first time in years. It played over and over in her mind, the multiple scenarios playing out in her mind one by one in quick flashes, by the time she blinked she had already imagined over twenty outcomes of a fight with this woman. Child or no child, Jade would not allow words like that to be spoken. To threaten her lover and her in the same, single sentence... This woman needed to learn her place.

Stepping forward, Jade's shoulders went back, her chin held ever so slightly higher as she prepared herself for battle. Her pupils, smaller as they were, still reflected the shadows of skulls, a fire burning behind them, begging their host to let them out for a game of death. Jade's chest rose and fell with an eerie grace, the grace of a warrior queen facing the opposing nations army with just her bare hands. The witch, although incredibly handicapped at the moment, would not let on that she was in no condition to fight. Another step. A deep breath sighed with ease, her pupils fighting themselves, dilating and constricting. On the outside Jade seemed eerily calm and collected but within her a power struggle was happening, she was struggling to keep her powers under control. She had spent a long time with Azya in his home land, conquering these powers, but the new child within her made her emotions intensified and so her powers were harder to control.

Another step and Jade was a mere two inches from Hiroko's face.
"Hiroko. I swear to whatever higher being that you believe in, I will end your life faster than you can even flit off the ground with those enchanted tattoos of yours, if you ever threaten me or my lover again." For a fleeting moment the friendship that Hiroko and Jade once shared crossed the white haired witch's mind. She recalled for a moment the hugs and the smiles... The hardships they overcame, the loving welcome that Hiroko offered to Jade and Hannah when they had first arrived... Hannah.... And there were those lovely hormones again, making Jade even more emotional.

Gold swirled around the edges of her pupils and then vanished as she got herself under control, never once showing on the outside that there even was a struggle.
"You said taking the Litch from him will only slow the process, not end it. If you want to buy yourself more time, find another way, but don't waste what time you have now threatening me and my kin. I will rip your life from your puny body and offer it to buy us time. We want to stop the Keeper just as much as you do, which is why we have returned in the first place. But taking the Litch from my love threatens his life." Jade's eyes narrowed as she leaned closer to Hiroko now, their noses nearly touching. "And you understand I cannot let you even attempt such a thing."

She allowed the tension to sit for a moment before moving her head back ever so slightly, glaring down at the 4'4" girl with a gaze that was not threatening but almost promising her demise.
"Now what plan do you have for stopping this dilemma," she motioned towards the sky as Hiroko had done moments before, "other than ripping the creature that is bound to my lover's soul?" Jade tossed a glance behind her to see if Azya was alright. He seemed nervous when he had looked at her moments before. Like he had seen a ghost.

Azya was not alright.

He could feel him, it was like having an invisible hand clutching your heart, twisted fingers squeezing on the fearful organ as it thumped away at an ever quickening pace. His stomach turned to acid and his mind had gone blank with the cold terror of the moment. If he could sweat he would have been bathing in it, however the keeper did not even allow him that tiny respite. The fear however was only temporary, fear requires a conscious knowledge of what you are afraid of, it was no small thing for the lord of death to simply take from him the memory of his presence and leave only one simple desire burning in his heart like a bonfire on a dark beach.

Azya could not explain where it came from, only that some small part of him felt as it had opened its eyes for the first time in a very long time. leagues away the keeper felt what he could have mistaken for surprise at this sudden all to mortal apifiny. It was to small to even pass as anything more then a mere curiosity, yet still...

Yet still the keeper pulled himself from Azya, drawing his will away from the necromancer in disgust. He above all other beings loathed the undead, they had their uses yet the escape from the most basic of the livings urges, to die, sickened him. To find humanity in such a thing was to grotesque, like finding a dead rat in moldy soup.

The wood behind the Necromancer grew dark, unnaturally shaded even under the oppressive glow of the strange sky above their heads. The look in his eyes wasn't that of some valiant warrior crusading to save the princess, nor was it the cold ruthless murder that could sometimes be found even in his most loving gaze, that look belonged to the litch alone.

This was the look of the most basic human emotion when they witness immediate danger to a loved one. It was in this moment he only truly understood the full extent of his attachment to the wonderful woman whom was gracing him with her gaze even now. He felt his right hand turn its palm to the sky, in some cultures it was regarded as a prayer, perhaps that was exactly what it was. A prayer to the woman to before him. He found himself whispering under his breath, his own language twisted with necrotic words most would find like needles to their ears. He had sung those words to her and heard her laugh in delight.

The wrappings that covered his fingers fell away revealing the pale bone of his right hand, the flesh hanging limply from the terrible appendage and its many forbidden runes. Hiroko of course would notice none of this, it was below her, beyond her to even bother. A pity, but he spoke none the less.

“There is a sword” he spoke as Hiroko opened her mouth, his heavy accent rising from his throat like a dark lullaby. “You cannot kill death, not even a child would think that possible.” Briefly he wondered if he had spoken to enlighten those around him or to merely halt Hiroko before she infuriated Jade even further.

Dread tore into his gut. Oh yes their was a sword, but it could only be wielded by one man, and even his eastern swamps had legends about the dreaded Hunter. To put this weapon in the already homicidal hands of Bane was chilling, getting it would be another story all together. Compared to sneaking into the keepers vaults for a weapon that imbued mortality giving the Hunter his sword was a cake walk.

“Death is forever, the Keeper on the other hand” His eyes glided to the clawed skeletal hand he was still holding out to the sky as if he had forgotten he had even lifted it in the first place. The runes had begun to glow a threatening green, pulsating with his heart beat. They had never done this before and in any other circumstance it would have drawn his entire attention. Instead he lowered it to his side. “Cut him with this sword and he will be torn from the power of death, more specifically you will restore his mortality, to what he was before...”

Azya’s green eyes flicked from Hiroko to Jade. “...well before he is as he is now” What exactly was that he wondered to himself. No one knew who the keeper was, where he had come from. Ancient words from beyond ancient spirits told necromancers of a time when death had been a force of energy, a raw and unchanging part of existence. You lived and then you died. Simplicity, when his kind had been healers not monsters.

Then had come the Keeper and with him immortality. A struggle between all the living and the single being known as death, it had ended with a viel and wide spread suffering. So how was it then the keeper was born, who the hell was he?

“Unfortunately that sword rests in the keepers vaults, as far away from us as far gets.” Oh yes Azya could get them in, he could even possibly hold the portal open to allow for an escape. The keepers vault wasnt dangerous because it was hard to escape from after all, it was dangerous because it was a place without magic, not a drop. All those whom braved it would find themselves without power, they would have to survive without the crutch they had likely relied upon their entire lives.

For Jade whom had for much of her life suffered under a curse that had turned her powers against her with every spell this would likely not deter her. However for Hiroko... “I can get us-”

Hiroko felt her spine move ever so slightly as Jade approached, the beginnings of retreat. It was involuntary and she was still struggling with it right up until the taller woman had cast her shadow over her. She was already tiny, suddenly she felt incredibly slow, though she knew it was merely a physical difference it still bothered her.

She had tried playing nice with these people, had tried so hard to open her doors to them and let them in. After all that effort she still stood nose to nose with this woman, the silent threat floating between them. Then she stepped away, the tension did not ease but at least it was not right in her face anymore. Their eyes remained locked, her lips parted and she knew what was to rise from between her lips would be an insult that would lead to a fight.

“There is a sword”

Azya, right. She had forgotten the b*****d was still here. So caught up she had been with Jade she had forgotten all about the taint of the litch just a few paces away. The more he spoke the more it became clear just what weapon he was speaking of. The sword of the Creed. They had made an attempt on it years ago, a failed attempt she might add. Kahlan had almost died and Collete had found herself under the Keepers foot.

“I can get us-”

“The keepers vault” she sneered “Yes a wonderful idea, lets all waltz into a place without magic. Oh sorry a place without magic EXCEPT for the keeper.” Sarcasm dripped almost impressively from every word. “I am sure it wont be a problem though, I mean after all the swords only sitting on top an enormous mountain guarded by oh...” she tapped her tiny chin. “...ah yes now I remember, the gargoyles and snow casters.”

She shook her head with mocking dismay. “all the while the keeper grinds our world to dust and eats every living soul on the face of the planet.” She took a deep angry breath. “Not even an option, I can kill him, I can send him back into the veil forever. Give me the litch Azya, I demand him from you” she began to approach the necromancer her grip tightening on her weapon. “Let me halt the damage he is doing, if I can stop the planets from colliding it will give me enough time to defeat him!”

Her eyes glided down the topless form of the Necromancer, landing on the strange pendent at his throat. "This is the only way you can protect Jade Azya." she stated falling on her last footing of this already doomed argument. "Your to weak to do anything else, use your life to defend her at the very least!"

She could see the ebbing in his gaze, something passing human, she had struck home. She allowed the demon blade to disintegrate into ash for the second time, if she could persuade him to make the sacrifice this would all go so much smoother. "After all. She is the mother to your child"

A click introduced the arrival of a new figure. A click that sounded at the base of Hiroko's skull.

Smoke rose from the woman's mouth, the tongue ring hidden within clicking against her teeth in irritation as she moved her thumb to better grip her gun after cocking it. It was elegantly crafted, and clearly well-cared for, just as the woman who held it. Before them stood a woman who looked exactly like the white haired witch, but there were many differences.

Firstly, the woman before them had black hair, the left side of her hair shaved to reveal one of her many tattoos, another major difference was her attire. She was clad in all black, from leather to lace. Her stockings made her legs appear longer than the white haired look alike but the heels were what added the real height. Six inch heels that doubled as working pistols, any kinky man's fantasy come true. But this woman did not seem to be the type to dress up for fun. No, every last bit of her was designed to be just as deadly as the weapons she both bore openly and kept hidden.

If one had paid enough attention, however, the biggest difference one could tell between this woman and Jade were her eyes. A deep crimson with golden flecks swirled within the iris' of this woman's scornful eyes. Her plump, pink lips parted against Hiroko's ear, emitting more sweet smelling smoke, the cold metal pressing harder against her skull.
"The only one who will kill that man is me, sweetheart. If you have a problem with it, you can be the first to eat lead. I assure you I have plenty of bullets for your pathetically small figure." It was clear that this woman had no intentions of backing down from her statement.

"So, Azya, how've you been, you disgusting pile of rot? I see you managed to knock my former self up." A slight nod to the white haired witch was all the acknowledgement she gave before returning her gaze to Azya, keeping her gun on Hiroko's neck."So sad that I was so foolish at one point to even let that be a possibility in this realm..." Her frown was somber, reflecting genuine distaste for her own foolishness in the past. "But no mind. I'll be rectifying my foolishness here soon..."

She smirked with a grand eeriness about her features, her eyes swirling red with malice before the gold returned to balance out the blood-lustful gaze he held within her eyes.
"First allow me to introduce myself..." Her free hand lifted at her ragged black shirt, lifting the slight dust and exposing the holes within it even more. "I'm you, Jade. Just a smarter and more tormented version. The you that got her a** handed to her because your sweet little lover boy here wasn't always so father-figure-friendly." Now her smirk grew to a deviously mocking exression as she almost let Hiroko go but, oh no no, she couldn't have that.

She remembered how feisty Hiroko was. Give her the chance and she'd try to fight back. As unfortunate as it would be to kill the owner of the palace, she would if she had to but, as of the current moment, it was the goal to avoid such a scenario. Turning her glare to Azya, her smirk grew more sinister.
"Any questions before I kill you and your little buddy of a roommate in that walking, talking, corpse of yours, sweetheart?" Oh how the word dripped with poisonous ill-intent.

[ Will be posting for Jade later, after your responses. Edited the last paragraph slightly.]

This was not an outcome Azya had foreseen in the least. His green eyes wandered the body of the Jade duplicate, not with the lecherous ideas of a pervert but rather of a snake considering the dangers at hand. She was as gorgeous as the white haired woman, but in a completely different way, in a frightening way. She knew about him, about Jade and now about the tiny wonder growing in Jades stomach.

Azya closed his skeletal hand into a fist, quickly trying to piece together the clues this woman had left in the wake of her mocking showmanship. First of all came the strange device in her hands. He had never seen such a thing in his life and all his vast knowledge of magic would not reveal its purpose. It was a weapon that much was clear and until he saw it in action he could not foresee how to avoid it.

Secondly and more importantly. “I see you managed to knock my former self up.” Curious thought the slender necromancer his eyes meeting that of the woman before him. “Disgusting Pile of Rot” he said with a tight smile, his gaze only briefly dancing over the immobilized figure of Hiroko. “Thats new, cant say I am adverse to it. You dont give rot enough credit my lady. Without rot we wouldn't even have the trees, how can you spurn Rot so?” His words danced from his mouth in the most respectful of ways, not a hint of dislike or reproach. The man was a the very essence of a calm gentleman.

He stepped from the shadows with the fluid grace of water slipping over a sudden cliff, the clawed hands of branches leaving strange shadow on the necromancer where he stood. “Jade, I suppose you have seen the results of my plans. I can see it in you my lady.” He tilted his head, he looked ever more like some strange predator, it would be of no surprise if he suddenly wore scales rather then flesh. “Ah yes, such carefully placed plans and in the middle of them a girl caught in all that terror and death.”

“After all that, you must really have quite the weapon in your hands if you think it can kill both myself and the litch” Azya could practically feel this risk he was walking on growing thin. “Then again you are confident arnt you, almost as if you have done this before” he offered her the brightest smile available to him. His teeth was white as moonlight and as good natured as a grandfathers grin.

“Why are we still talking. Your ready to doom all the lives of this planet to the keeper, that much I can see.” He motioned to his chest "If it pleases my lady I would like to skip the question answer period. Just kill me."

Let it all out, let it all out
You don't have to act so brave
The flowers that somebody scribbled on the wall are swaying

Let's turn our tears and pain into stars
We'll light a candle to illuminate our tomorrow

[note: i have never actually seen Hiroko fight so I am going to assume because of her appearance shes got some weird mystical fox stuff going on]

Hiroko closed her eyes against the sudden pain in the base of her skull, pressure as if her brain was going to slide down the back of her neck. She would have collapsed to one knee if not for the aid of her many tails. Hiroko hid within the folds of her power, sliding deeper within her own mental confines in an attempt to view the situation from a solitary place without the presence of the strange mind numbing pain.

It took several long seconds but at last she could hear the words spoke between those around her, a heart beat later and she could see again, her body rapidly becoming her own again. She moved to strike out blindly towards the strange advancing figure only to hear the odd clicking sound again and find her body racked with the strange pressure once more.

Azya was talking, why was he always talking. Then this strange person again, her voice so very familiar. “b***h” she growled over and over again under her breath her limbs moving as if in slow motion. “bitchbitchbitch”

‘just kill me’

Azya’s voice tore her out of the strange pressure like a starved lion from a cage. Her reaction was an explosion of raw power, relentless and completely uncontrolled energy. She didn't bother with her sword, it would take to long to summon and she could not take the chance that she would be immobilized again. She lunged at this new Jade with a roar that tore from her tiny throat, it was draconic and completely feral.

She covered the space between them with a speed even the Hunter would have been pleased with, her tiny feet moving with out any of the trained caution her royal parents had imbued in her. From her back her wings spread, framing the strange display of her new appendages in a rather odd way. The clearing rocked with her power, she was fast but not faster then the spears of wood and stone she had subconsciously summoned from the ground at their feet. The trees came to life, rocking and creaking, screaming as they stretched long dormant branches, brought to animation once more by the mistress of the palace.

She would impale this woman then open her throat with her teeth.

Let it all out, let it all out
There's a lot of things you lack, aren't there?
But it's okay you aren't perfect
That's how I met you in the first place

Even if we get a little lost, together we'll make stardust
We'll search for the eternity that shines so brightly
