Tharsirion Walked along looking for something to eat. He'd wandered unusually far from the cave he had taken shelter in. His father had laughed till the first storm out on their own had come in. Now it was their home.. for now.. at least till the ground finished thawing out and gave new breath of warmth and plenty to the world.
Finding a small patch of tender fresh grass poking through the snow, he stopped dead in his tracks. He'd nearly given up today to return to eat bark and... goodness knows what else. Sure this wasn't meat.. but.. it was better than nothing.. In his joy, he broke out into a small dance, dancing around the patch careful not to trample the tender blades of grass.Lysia's teepee

A gentle breeze stirred the red cloth wound about the mysterious mare as she made her way across the landscape made barren by the harsh breath of winter. Today was the first decent day in what felt like an eternity and she had decided to take advantage of it by exploring. Ever since abandoning the blood moon carnival she had felt a little wayward with no real purpose to guide her on her way, and without her gypsy caretakers she felt alone. It was an unusual sensation though, for there was a period in her life not too long ago where she had craved solitude more than air. “You have simply forgotten that you disturb anyone who crossed your path.” One of the three spirits that had attached itself to her hissed. She was by far Tatiana’s least favorite for she took pleasure in constantly reminding her of her otherness. “How can I forget with you constantly reminding me.” Tatiana sighed, hoping with all of her might that the spirit would cease speaking or that one of the others would pipe up instead. Her desire was fulfilled when one of the gentler apparitions pulled her attention toward a figure off in the distance. “Look there.” It whispered gently. Her blue eyes fell upon an unusually colored stallion with claws for back feet that seemed to be…dancing? Her first instinct was to avoid him but the same spirit who had pointed him out encouraged her to approach. “What better cure for loneliness than conversation?” The essence had a valid point and she adjusted her path so that she was heading toward him. “If you are dancing for rain, I would much rather you not. It is a rather comforting day.” She called out softly.

He stopped as he heard the soft voice. Turning carefully, he eyed the mare suspiciously. She didn't look like a member of the flock. Looking to the sky with large yellow almost alien like eyes, he seemed to ponder her words before looking back at her. "Not rain.. I was only happy not to have to eat bark again..." He was almost regretting not having just eaten and then danced later but he supposed there was enough grass here for the two of them. "You're welcome to join me.. As long as you're not here to kill me." If she was genuinely confused he'd continue the conversation.. any false coyness and he'd be bolting and trying to spare his hide a little longer.

“Bark?!” The more vile of the specters scoffed. Pushing its words to the back of her mind she eyed the stallion a moment before looking at the patch of grass he had been worshipping a moment before. There wasn’t much and if he had been living off of bark up until now she did not wish to deprive him of his meal, though she couldn’t help but to consider the strangeness of eating bark. “No, thank you I am still satisfied from my last meal.” Her head tilted slightly at the thought of her being here to kill him and she instantly believed it to be attributed to the Kalona blood running through her veins. Though she really only had the tail of one, others had become more wary of her since the Great Kalona invasion. Keeping the displeasure from her face she slowly shook her head. “I would gain nothing from killing you stranger.” She responded shortly.

Relief washed over him. "Then... You weren't sent by the flock?" He stifled a sigh of breath he hadn't realized he'd been holding. "I meant no disrespect.. It's just.." He paused then shook his head. "It matters no more. If you're hungry at all.. I'm willing to share.. I can likely find a rabbit to eat later..." Being omnivorous had it's advantages. It made surviving during the winter easier when you didn't have to look for wild edibles that were growing. All he had to do was look for plants or small game.
Once again yellow orb like eyes watched her for a moment. Quietly, he waited looking her over as though he were trying to get a better read on her. He was in a way. He was tying to determine more about her. "I'm Tharsirion..." He offered his name, confident for the moment that she wasn't his assassin.
