He was not glad for a night without much incident. It made him less at easy than it had when this all had started to find no auras in the midst of his districts-wide run. Thraen stopped for a moment, swallowing breath and covering a hand over his lung out of habit more than actual use in the gesture.

It was early, too early for anyone to be awake except the night shift commuting home in the cold predawn blues and reflected rim purples. Every shadow was bewitched, moving but dead and empty. For now he was alone- until there was a faint feel of an aura. Vague enough that he couldn't make it out until it grew closer and familiar to the one ********* had when he heard her little bell. Only there was no little familiar bell.

The super senshi stood still, sheltered in the shadows of skeleton trees in a small business' lunch garden. Perhaps it will reveal itself, perhaps it will vanish away on other business.

The sleek form in the light was without a doubt a cat, and the call sealed it- a Guardian. Thraen stepped out and approached from the garden copse, stopping a few cat paces away and crouching to the smaller creatures conversational level, "Hello, indeed."

"I'm Thraen. You felt me, I take it? I wasn't certain myself what I had picked up...I've not met many guardians. "

"Super Senshi of Gardens. Have you met other 'plant-type', Ash?" She made it sound like a video game, in a way. Perhaps not a surprise wearing a visor as she was. He didn't even realize they made that sort of thing for cats. Unless she made it herself? They make phones and pens from Nowhere, why not visors? Google glass for felines.

"You have a database? " It was a term he was intrigued to hear, and just such a thing as had come up in his own considerations as something that would be useful. He hovered a hand over her, experimentally, encouraged by her extra-feline-like greeting method. Did she like pets? ********* had been tolerant of being picked up, but that didn't mean that Ash would.

It was hard to push away the thought that they could be human-ish as well, which if one took the theme of petting too far into the furry category got weird and uncomfortable places to some persons personal tastes. He'd never considered it in relation to his own other than it was odd. Which was the 'true' form? Was there just one that was? Sort of brazen and self-important to think that the bipedal, 'human' one is the better or more natural. Questions follow questions...

"I wouldn't actually know. The only thing I've much learned to do with it is access the Primer, scan other senshi, and travel off world. It accesses a database? Can you show me how?" That she accepted the pet was delightful, but refrained as she composed herself from scooping her up to hold her and stroke her more.

An 'HQ'? There's a centralized place that the cats gather? That would have been useful to know aeons ago. Or that there is an accessible database of all the senshi there are, maybe? It would make sense that a senshi woudl by uploaded as active when they were presented their phone and pen. Please let it be so easy.

"I've scanned ********* I scan you? Do you keep your phone in a hat? I have been trying to at least have more awareness of the other members of ....senshi and the knights. "

Not White Moon Court. There is no court.

Certainly an energetic little thing. But it didn't bother him. He initiated the scan sequence, curious of how or what it would work out in comparison to her admission of not having a phone herself. It didn't make a ready made entry, but it did take her picture and open a new entry dialogue that he hadn't encountered before. He turned it to her so that she could see it, "I guess I can enter individual information, at least. A-s-h, for spelling? "

'Getting all the good senshi' is an interesting light to colour their little meeting. "Are you forming a team? Or just a collection of senshi you plan to specifically keep tabs on?"

I wouldn't put myself at the top picks of the dodgeball team, really. "Actually, on the subject of being the cat for answers to questions...I DO have some pressing ones. An Eternal, Athene, and I went to the Moon ruin some time ago. It worked similarly through his phone, but there wasn't a specific button separate or different from my phone. We'd theorized it was the little charm pearl he had that was the key. And that it had something to do with when the pearl was glowing. Can you explain any of that, or confirm any? And if so...where would I find one of these pearls if its even possible to get one?"

He watched the little jig with impassable expression, but it shifted more lively in the fires of his eyes when he saw the pearl's appearance on the ground. "I mean exactly one of those. May I have it? I'd be glad to take you along. If and when I can figure it out, actually."

She didn't confirm or explain, and admitted she didn't know what they were for. Well, where one knows not, there is hypothesis and test. "We can try it now if you like. It isn't glowing, but that will be as good a confirmation as later trying when it is."

"Have you noted at all...this...jar of pearl...glowing at specific times at your headquarters?" He offered an open arm and knee for her to scale up on his shoulders. "I think you'll fit, you're fairly slender. Here...its ride or be carried if its anything like visiting a homeworld. I have to be touching you."

"Well, or a try for up and away..." Thraen stood slowly, letting them both hopefully adjust to the idea of shoulder perching. It always looked so easy for the people who ran cat circuses.

He wasn't sure if the pearl had to be attached to the phone or if just having it in general was enough, but that was another variable to test later. For now, the Senshi attached the pearl like a regular keitai strap before going through the button motions. Moon Ruins....feel the Moon Ruins.

There was a drawing feeling, similar to the one time he'd visited his homeworld, the energy it took to 'feel the song' of the place and engage the shift. But but the tug wasn't so insistent, and there was no payoff- "No go..."

"So either I'm missing something, or it does have something to do with the glow, " He sighed, not disappointed since it was an answer found, but there was a definite let down. "I'll have to try it again when it glows."

"Worth the try at least?"

He had not brought up the Primer in many, many months. How many he wasn't certain- how long could it be when his tenure was maybe a year? But he made a noise that meant affirmative in his throat, fussing the phone with one hand. The other hand, idled from direct brain control, lifted to fluff some cheek fur.

"Oh-...sorry, " He dropped the hand as he scrolled to the correct category. He read it over, quoting aloud only the pertinent part, " ' when the moon is full'. Well, that is something. Easy enough to check if that is when they're glowing, but with the certainty that it is when the process works. "

"I should go over the whole thing again, really. I haven't looked at it since I was a regular senshi. It could use an update, though. There's so much so vague about it- ' higher-ranked agents are able to teleport'...Captains can, I haven't met lieutenant that did. It doesn't even mention the wraiths the mirror senshi use. Or that they just walk in and out of mirrors. "

Thraen squinched his nose and closed the phone, stowing it in the top rim of a glove for now. "Care to raincheck our moondate?"
