After his battles against the Kiandri, which proved to his gram that his skills as a Gaili were improving, he was finally allowed to go forth on his own. His first step had been to go to Serenia for a while, to visit with Madryn. While there he'd been lucky enough to meet with Madryn's sister, a girl named Sueno, who was as cute as her brother was. He'd enjoyed the time he'd spent with them but it was only a matter of time before he would need to head out into the world again so that he could once more take on the various members of dragon kind. He wanted to be a hero one day, it was his goal at least, and to get to the hero level he couldn't very well spend all his time in Serenia playing with the cute Orderites even though it was a rather enjoyable way to spend a day.
"Alright then! It's time to go forth a find some more dragons! I could probably use some more orbs after all. Where to go first to find dragons? There, perhaps?" He mused, looking forward toward a nice, tall dune that might serve well as a vantage point, "From up there I could probably see forever! Let's go there!" For once he wasn't just talking to himself, he was also talking to the little, scaly creature that was perched between his horns at the moment. Little Ember, a pretty, fiery colored fairy dragon, lifted her head for a moment, yawned, then gave a little chirp sound as though to agree with what he'd said though she didn't quite seem to care where they went. So long as she had her comfortable perch on the Gaili's head she was happy.
Of course as they made it to the top of the dune both of them went a bit wide eyed, spotting some dragons milling about below them, dragons like he'd only seen in his books, "Woah! It's a pair of Firani!" He gasped out, finding this to be a more interesting find. He'd wanted to try his hand at battling the sort of dragon that was the same clan as his grannie since they must be as impressive as she was! Giving a grin he set to gathering power, wrapping sand around his fists, making gauntlets of it before he looked to Ember, "Staying here?" He asked of her. She seemed to debate it for a moment before she hopped off his head, landing on his arm, then from there she dove into his pack. She woulde hide amongst his things where she would be safe! The Gaili chuckled, shrugging out of his pack and set it down, "You wait here, guard my stuff." He told her before he went charging down the hill at the two dragons. He jumped up into the air, brought his fists down against the ground, and sent a wave of sand out in all directions causing the Firani to scatter.
Standing upright the Gaili gave a hearty laugh, "Don't think that you are going to get away so easily, Firani! I am going to end you and take your orbs for myself!" He said, pointing at them in a dramatic manner before charging after one of them. He was eager to get into this battle, to fight with the fiery dragons, and to really get a feel for what it meant to battle this new breed. While they weren't a mystery to him, at least their clan wasn't, it was still his first time battling them so he meant to go all out with this fight as he did with every fight he got into.

Karayan threw himself forward toward the first of the Firani, swinging at the creature, his sand covered fist crashing into it. It was a blow that shook him a bit, making him give a bit of a laugh, "Wow, you guys are pretty tough!" He said, grinning up at the dragon before he dodged back a few steps when it snapped it's teeth at him, "Not very friendly are we? I guess I wouldn't be either if I had someone punching me." He mused to himself, then went a little wide eyed when he saw the way that the dragon's throat started to swell and glow, a sure sign that it was preparing a different and more violent attack. Karayan dragged a wall of sand up in front of himself, just barely, when the fire spewed forth at him... and when the attack finally ceased the sand had become a glittering chunk of glass.
"Woah... that was pretty impressive." He murmured, unable to help but to stare at what the Fiarani had done. To think that the Firani had that amount of power behind it! This was something that he wished that he could show someone, maybe his gram or Madryn but neither of them were here. It was just him meaning that he would have to tell them about it and who knew if either of them even believe him about something as crazy as this! What a shame he thought to himself before bouncing back a couple more steps when the displeased dragon came rushing at him, jaws snapping at him again. It seemed that missing intended prey with its fiery breath hadn't put the beast into a better mood then it had been in before, if anything it only seemed more riled up.
The Firani gave a great roar, something that drew in the second dragon, adding to the fight, making it that much more one sided against Karayan, not that it had him backing down. If anything it only made things seem that much more exciting! He already had a few scars on his arm, what were a few more? Scars were a man's pride, it showed that he was a survivor! One that brave enough to stab a dagger right into the mouth of a dragon to kill it! Well, brave or stupid, either one would really work he thought to himself, dodging out of the way of one dragon's attack only to get hit by the tail. Karayan went flying once more, making him wish he had some wings like his gram, at least it would make the landing easier. The last thought he had before hitting the ground. He bounced a couple times, rolled, and as he did so he dragged some sand over himself to hide himself from the view of the Firani so that he could get a moment to recover, "Eesh, that hurt!" He complained to himself, "Gotta be more careful. What to do next? Well I can't really run away, I want some Firani orbs. Well, then, just gotta keep attacking." He muttered quietly, ever talking to himself when he got into situations like this.
Alright, he'd just have to wait until they got closer and he would strike from under the sand! It sounded like a cool way to go about it, as well as sneaky! Man, he loved being a Gaili, there was so much about his clan and his magic that he enjoyed so much. Getting to hide under a layer of desert sand like this being another of those reasons. Getting a moment to breath and recover really was helpful as far as these long distance battles went. Already he could feel and hear the pair of dragons stalking around nearby, getting closer and closer to his hiding spot, meaning that he should be able to strike out soon enough.

Karayan could feel it more then he could hear it as the dragons came closer to where he was hiding out and he couldn't help but to give a bit of a smile, "Alright, here we go." He said to himself a moment before the sand started to roil under the feet of of the Firani before he exploded around them, tangling up their forms up pretty well, making it so that neither of could escape easily from his hold. He then came up out of the sand, starring at the dragons a moment before he gathered more sand around his fists, launching himself toward them, punches raining down upon the closest one. He'd failed in his two attacks but this time around he felt that he had the upper hand, making him think that maybe next time he would have to see about entangling them a little earlier in the battle. He'd see about trying that next time but for now he was good with how this particular battle was going.
A few good punches with his sand enclosed fists later and one of the dragons, as well as the sand it was tangled in, crumbled. Karayan hurried forward to scoop up his orb, not wanting it to get buried. He held it in one hand before he went after the next one, climbing up its scaly tail, along its back, and went for the back of its neck. It was another round of quick, hard attacks that brought about an end to the second one just as swiftly as with the first one, if not more quickly. His blow much have landed just right he thought to himself as the dragon crumbled under his feet. As that happened a cry of surprised escaped from the Gaili as he fell, landed on his backside, the second Firani orb landed right in front of him. He starred at it a moment before reaching out to pick it up, holding it up side by side with the first one that he'd won.
"Well now, aren't these pretty." He said to himself, giving a toothy grin as he looked them over. They were rather pretty, weren't they? They were also something that he really wanted to bring back to show to his gram, sure that she would be interested in them since they were the same as her clan. Not to mention that his first time running into the Firani had allowed him to get his hands on these two orbs and without as much trouble as he would expect from such dangerous dragons. Pushing to his feet nad glanced around the area, taking in the mess that the battle had made. He knew that the winds that blew across Eowyn would fix this soon enough and would likely bury that glass structure that the Firani had made. It was a shame that nobody but him would probably see it he thought to himself before he trotted over to where his pack was still sitting, waiting for him, with Ember within it, "Alright, Ember, all done! How about you come out of there so that I can put these orbs in there instead."
Once the pretty little creature left his pack, retaking her spot on his head, he put the two glittering Firani orbs into his pack, slung it over his shoulder, and turned to look at her, "So! Do you think we should hunt more dragons? Or maybe we should see about going back home for a bit to show these orbs off? That or we can go and see if Madryn is up for a good hunt yet... though I am betting I would need to find him alone, he doesn't seem to want to hunt when Sueno is around." No fun, not really, but at least there was a chance that if he caught the Orderite on his own he'd be able to talk him into a good hunt. He seemed easy enough to talk into adventures even if he complained a lot about such things while they were doing them. Giving a little shrug he twirled around, picking a random direction, and started in that direction.
