User ImageA pale dainty finger touched upon a forehead part pink locks of hair before tracing a line backwards toward the ear shifting the hair away from a pair of gorgeous eyes with the golden yellow tint of an eagle's eye. The eyes were peered carefully into a stack of papers, these were the dossiers on her new squad of Genin they were all from different villages so she was sure to learn about them in great detail. The first file was details on Yori Suuzuki of the Gaara Clan, both his parents were still alive, injured his mother was confined to the house for the most part, his father worked long and hard to support them but his absence only served to distance himself the family. Momo couldn't help but imagine she would be able to fix the woman easily, however sometimes there was more to something than it at first seemed. The sand surely had more than ample talent in the field of Healing so she imagined there was something else to this. Other than that his psyche eval stated that he was loud, arrogant, and reckless, the hat trick that marked a preeminent problem child. The next was Naru Momoichi One of the final students to participate in the barbaric test of the Bloody Mist. He had shown great ingenuity in remaining in stealth before swiftly dispatching the final opponent. Like the ninja he would strive to be he struck quickly and precisely qualities that were important in a ninja however his Psyche eval made note that he was, also rather arrogant, but unlike Yori he was quite quick to back done from a fight. While Yori would be a Ninjutsu-Taijutsu user, Momo could see Naru becoming a first class Genjutsu specialist As she stared at the last profile she would smile slightly, her lips were average a slight of feminine plumpness to them that famed her jaw cutely her nose was more slight and elegant which gave her face a youthful smoothness to it's appearance. It was easy to tell that Momo was quite attractive and she would age quite gracefully as well. The last folder was one she didn't even need to open. Shiori Sanada, she was a quiet soft spoken girl and an Uchiha from the Leaf. Her father was Ryu Sanada and Momo's husband, and Shiori was Momo's daughter. It was kind of the villages to allow her to be her own daughters Teacher, after all they did not live together Shiori showed herself to be an Uchiha through and through so they lived in the Leaf where her Bloodline would flourish better though Momo couldn't lie. She had been lonely without them by her side. This file wouldn't tell her anything she didn't already know about her own daughter.

Slapping the folders closed Momo would leave the rather dank room and come out onto a terrace that belong to the apartments she was in. The terrace stretched around the building terminating into the stairs down to the street below. From here Momo was able to see the Gate and would wait for her students to come through the gates their attires would surely be giving them away. Momo herself was something of a legend among ninjas, like any Jounin she had gained her power and more than a few stories were told about her skill. For example it was said that she could heal any wound, that she could break a person into dust and leave them breathing, and perhaps the most wondrous of her legends was that the total number of people she'd killed in her lifetime could be counted on but a single hand. In the Shinobi world such a low count would be thought of as a weakness of some sort however anyone who challenged Momo would understand that her power was immense and that having only killed so few was a testament to just how precisely she could destroy a person while keeping them alive.

User Image Yori Suuzuki [Gaara]

Yori cracked his knuckles as he approached the gate of the Hidden Cloud. He had had trouble getting here, and to show for it, he had a scratch on his left cheek. On his way, he'd fallen up the mountain range towards the village. He wasn't used to steep mountains, to see in the least. The Hidden Sand was pretty flat. There were hills here and there, yeah, but at least they were smooth, moveable. At least to him. Being of the Gaara clan had its advantages.

Here, the air was light and slightly chilled, a great contrast to the heavy, hot air of the Hidden Sand. It was definitely unnerving. He was going to have the biggest disadvantage here. His other squad mates, whoever they were, were going to be easier adjusted, that he was sure of. He would also stand out greatly in the village. He had a huge gourd of sand on his back. No one would have that here. Few from the Hidden Sand even traveled here. It was such a difference in climate. Even now, Yori was feeling chills. The air was probably just a little cool because of the mountains, but it felt like ice to him. Another difference, he noticed as he heard lightning cracking in the distance, was that people here used fast jutsu. Swords and lightning were mostly used here. Speed was their greatest asset. While sand could slow them, there was no natural stuff up here. If they decided to force him out, he wouldn't stand much chance. His jutsu skills were... well, not tip-top shape. He could only train when at night. His mother would have to be asleep too. He couldn't do anything without knowing she was asleep without worry.

He was getting goosebumps that weren't exactly from the cold air. If he wasn't cracking jokes at the academy, he was often thinking about his mom. Her condition was horrible. A few of the medical nins had visited in the beginning of the injury. All that healing chakra and all it did was make it worse. His mom had become hysteric when the chakra did nothing. It shook her trust in the ninja-way, in the medics at her village. She had fought for the her whole life, and when she needed them most, they couldn't do a thing. She had been quiet for weeks after returning from the hospital. She would sit in the wheel-chair, staring out the window. And his dad barely saw it all. He was gone too much to notice.

He shook the memory out violently. He had to have his head in the game for this. He trudged into the village, the gate-watchers eyeing him suspiciously but apparently knowing he was supposed to be there. The village wasn't any warmer than the outside air, but the villagers did. At least a little. He could see groups of ninja walking around, family and friends alike. He smiled at the scene, but soon felt some numb bitterness crawl over his skin. He could have had that relationship. His mom just had to be reckles- no. This wasn't the place. No one would know about his past (maybe his squad leader would, maybe not) so he could reinvent himself here. He touched the scratch on his left cheek with a small grumble about how dangerous the mountains were and waited at the front of the gate.

Naru Momoichi

User Image

Naru was laying on his back, hand under his head as a cushion while holding a folder above him with his free hand. Legs crossed over, he looked very relaxed but in truth, he was getting anxious. The mission was going to be explained at the meeting place but more to the point, the descriptions of his squad was making him rather antsy. From the looks of it, two of his team members were going to be quite the lookers. Would be a pleasure to see what they have to offer. One was from Cloud, his destination. Leader of the squad and something of a beauty, maybe he could get some pointers from her on some fighting techniques or about women in general. The other one was from the Village Hidden in the Leaves. What clan she was from, that was left out of the briefing. Whatever the case, she was probably clan-less and also a head turner. A grin started to grow over his face as he considered himself lucky to have the company of two fine looking women in his squad. Not that he cared as much to hit on them, just if any of his friends were still alive, they would be jealous as all hell.

Finally, the kid from Hidden Sand. From the sounds of his description, he more than likely uses sand much like the Kazekage's. Descendant of kages huh... That's just great. His concentration was broken when there was a small break in the clouds, casting light straight into his eyes. He lowered the papers over his face to hide from the light as his eyes adjusted after being blasted by the sudden burst of light. "Man... This is going to be an interesting one. I wonder why Mizukage-sama decided to let me onto this mission. I wasn't the best of my class, I hid for most of the exams and struck only when my enemies were few and weakened. Sure I'm a coward but I guess I can't fight the decision now, I'm here on this boat headed to my Squad Leader's home village after all."

As soon as the clouds covered the sun, Naru sat up and pulled out an exploding tag. He placed it on the dossier before making a hand seal, only putting in a small amount of chakra into the ignition source so the tag would merely catch on fire. He threw the folder off the side of the boat and into the water after much of it burnt away, watching it sink into the water leaving not much of it intact. It was not long before the boat got close to shore before Naru jumped off and headed to land. He had already paid the boat services when he got on so he figured it would be alright to leave then. Running on top of the water, he found himself thinking of his friends, their dying faces as he was forced to watch them kill each other and finally killing his best friend himself. They all had smiles upon their faces, happy to leave this world as a stepping stone for their friends to climb upon. One way or another, they will see their dreams come true and Naru was the one to shoulder that dream all the way until his own bloody end.

It was not long before he reached the gates of Hidden Cloud, their meeting place. Standing there was one of his supposed teammates, the kid from Hidden Sand. Naru stopped among the crowd of people passing by to take a look at the boy. A bit shorter, anxious, unfamiliar with the type of landscape that was Hidden Cloud. There was even a scratch on his face from a tree branch perhaps? Naru didn't know. He sighed as he was hoping the other two would be there as well but that just wasn't the case. He walked up towards the front gate and called out to Yori, "Yo kid. Is your name Yori Suuzuki?"

User Image Yori Suuzuki [Gaara]

Yori rubbed his opposite shoulders with his hands, trying to get rid of the goosebumps. It wasn't warm here and it was still getting to him. He could only hope they'd leave before he was forced to adjust. If he got used to this air, he might get heatstroke at his home village. After a few minutes, a voice came from behind him. He turned to see a rather pale boy about his age approaching him. He knew Yori's name, so he must have been part of the squad. "Who's asking?" The sand ninja's voice was a poor impression of your sterotypical tough-guy. Yori cleared his throat and remembered that he didn't have to be the snarky kid anymore. "I mean, yeah. Who are you? The one from the Hidden..." Yori trailed off. Was it rain or mist? He should have stared at those forms harder. He couldn't remember anything about his squad members.

Naru Momoichi

From the initial response of his teammate, Naru furrowed his brows a little. Putting on a tough guy act and not sticking with it after the mistake was made? Foolish. Kid was probably prone to anger if aggravated but how far did one need to push him to get him to start making mistakes? Best not to tell him of his flaw until the rest of the team comes just in case he gets a little aggressive. Naru walks past Yori and leans against a tree nearby. Crossing his arms, he tilted his head a slight amount before replying, "Naru Momoichi. Hidden Mist. I take it you are still getting used to the weather here? Colder than Hidden Sand I would think." A slight grin appeared on his face as he thought that the kid would have brought thicker clothes along. He would certainly have some considering how cold the desert nights can be.

Yori nodded at Naru's introduction. "How different is this place compared to the Mist?" Yori was just making small-talk before everyone else appeared. He wasn't sure how to peg his squad member yet. "Yeah, much colder." He answered. He should have brought a coat or something. He hadn't thought about anywhere being cooler than his home village. At night, the village did get pretty cold, but he usually slept under a thousand blankets. Though, that was partly so it would be hard to tell if he was actually under all of them and he could train instead of sleeping. Still, coat would have been nice.

Naru shrugged his shoulders as he sighed. "Foggier, colder for sure, and I am starting to miss the screams for the academy testing and training grounds. Used to put me to sleep." He really was missing the screaming. Compared to that, this place was quite as all hell. Sure, he never liked the fact that his classmates were getting hurt but that also meant they were alive. Here, it's just the drone noise of many people talking, their voices fusing into a single entity. Faces blurring into each other as they moved about. He missed the misty fog and the extreme moisture in the air. What he missed most, he started to find, was the occasional thug he could screw with before kicking him into a puddle of water or off the docks.

(Sorry for not posting. Really would have thought someone else would have posted by now.)

Sakiri Hyuga
The young Hyuga would sigh softly, standing at the edge of the mountains, a ways below the gates. The air was cool, and misty, the sun constantly being enveloped by clouds, with the sound of thunder in the distance. There was a bit of nervousness that came with going somewhere entirely new. But the fact was her future, and the future of all their villages may lay here. By integrating the ideas and talents from all the villages, a kinship could eventually be truly reached. It could even remove the boundaries that separated the villages and help heal old wounds. It might one day prevent a new Ninja war. At least, that was what her uncle believed. She smiled softly, her confidence returning quickly. She approached two cloud shinobi patrolling along the base of the mountain, and showed her passport before heading up. She headed deeper into the village, shifting her coat and backpack for a moment, before approaching the meeting point. She could see the gate up ahead, and already noticed two young ninja there as well. Pushing away any hesitation, she approached with a gentle smile. She made no assumptions about who they were, and merely glanced on them for any signs of headbands. Though she could only believe they were likely her teammates.

Yori stared at Naru. Did he really just say he missed the screams? No, of course not. Yori knew he didn't hear that. "I don't think I've ever really experienced fog," Yori said thoughtfully. He opened his mouth to speak again, but noticed a young lady walking in from the gate. Her clothes were different from the cloud ninja, but he didn't confirm his suspicions until she walked up to them and smiled. Yori immediately noticed her Leaf village headband. Then he saw her... eyes. They weren't normal, that was for sure. Where had he learned about them?

Naru smirked at the comment about never experiencing fog before. "I bet you haven't," Naru muttered under his smile before they were distracted by someone walking up to them. Not the M.O. of the girl from Hidden Leaf. This was someone completely different and is acting like she belonged. "You're not Shiori Sanada, right? Business on behalf of Hidden Leaf, or visiting relatives and just looking for directions?" Naru could guess the reason but then again, this girl could easily have relatives living here and she was merely visiting. Naru took a quick look over the girl: long hair, lean, rather short. Her muscles were toned so obviously she does some taijutsu but how much was not for certain. Her eyes told him everything he needed to know, a story that is told across the world itself. The name of the clan escaped him but they were taijutsu masters of Hidden Leaf who prided themselves in the purity of their bloodline.

Sakiri Hyuga
Sakiri smiled to them both gently as she reached them, her eyes gazing at them. These eyes, which were nearly featureless, held irises with a slightly green tint, a somewhat unusual thing for Hyuga, whose eyes were normally either pure white, or had a tint of pink, blue, or purple of somekind. Aside from that, her long green hair was unusual for a Hyuga, too. Hair was rarely green in itself, but Hyuga hair was normally a dark black. This wasn't absolute of course, only being a little unusual, but it did make her visibly differ from the image of a Hyuga. Her white and tan coat covered the sides of her upper body only slightly open. She wore a light tan shirt and pants, for the cold climate, though she would normally wear shorts. She stored plenty of clothing and other things for any needs she had in her backpack, of course, and had generally come prepared. Her green hair, which was also unusually long, was held in a ponytail. In looking at the two, she picked up that Yori was from the sand, and Naru from the mist. She turned her attention to the mist genin as he spoke, her hands set behind her back as her smile disappeared for only a moment. "I am not Shiori Sanada, no. Nor have I come for those reasons." She shook her head lightly, before providing an answer the the unasked question that was clearly on their minds. "I am Sakiri Hyuga, genin of the Leaf, and I have come to be a member of an inter-village squad. I thought you two might have been the other members, being foreign to this village as well. You were also the right age and together at the gate as well... Please forgive me if I am mistaken." She bowed her head gently before looking to them both, keeping a light smile as she awaited an answer.

Naru Momoichi

Naru blinked at her response. "Sooooo, yes. Business on behalf of Hidden Leaf. So since you are here, I suppose that Shiori, the initial candidate from Hidden Leaf, has either backed out or been pulled from the team. My name is Naru Momoichi from Mist and he is Yori Suuzuki from Sand. I guess now is all we need now is Momo Sanada, our squad leader." He put his hand on the back of his neck as he let himself to his thoughts for a bit. He was not sure why the villages were doing this but it was a smart idea putting the youth together instead of teaming 4 adults who would probably kill each other at the first chance they get. Children would not understand the tensions between the villages as much as those in the older generation and thus establish bonds that will bring peace to warring tribes. Not something he cared about since he was nothing more than a tool for his country but he was glad he could at least have some form of confidence in the others that they would not try to kill him while his back was turned or if he was caught out in a situation.

User Image Momo would watch the Squad members begin interacting among themselves, at least they weren't brawling though... they seemed uncomfortable around each other as the Girl from Leaf appeared Momo's eyebrows rose curiously. That was most certainly not Shiori, and with a glance upward she'd sigh to herself. Yep... there was a bird flying around her apartment a message is it was for a change of plans or important information if you wanted to be more accepting of the village not letting you see your daughter more often. She pouted a bit looking back down at the trio of Genin. Guess it was back to only seeing her on Holidays and the occasional weekend vacation... Oh well... she was live and she was well so there was nothing wrong with the world. Momo would smile contently to herself as she looked down on the trio Two boys and a girl it seemed they liked that configuration in the Ninja world. Well no need to dwell on that now best to meet them before they became too impatient. And with that thought Momo would leap from the Balcony and disappear in a flurry of movement. Momo would appear about five feet behind the Boys and stand to the full height of roughly Five Feet and Eight Inches... in these shoes at least. Momo would take in a preparatory breath. "Welcome to The Village Hidden in the Clouds. I am Momo Sanada and I will be your Sensei, I hope You'll treat me kindly." She would say warmly smiling lightly at them, Momo was dressed appropriately at least the standard attire on might think to see a ninja in. "Now I'm sure you all have questions for me but... I'm also sure you're all a bit tired and hungry from the traveling so how about we get you all a bath and a meal and then we can sit down and have a nice chat about what you all want to know." Her personality was as warm and inviting as her words were they'd all come along way and they looked like they'd been traveling too.

User Image Yori Suuzuki [Gaara]

Yori unintentionally stared at the new squad member, Sakiri Hyuga. Her eyes were definitely odd. He didn't dwell on it. Their squad leader, Momo, appeared. She even looked kind. She reminded Yori of his mom. Except, in the cloud. And able to walk. Whatever; small details. Yori nodded at her as she introduced herself. She offered a bath and a meal and Yori grinned. He opened his mouth to say something, but felt the tug of the cut on his cheek. He rubbed it absently and got a small bit of blood on his hand. "Ugh, stupid trees," he cursed the terrain here. Trees and the mountains and the unexpected branch attack. Yori quickly realized what he'd said about his sensei's own village, and apologized. "I didn't...Sorry. I speak without speaking sometimes. I- er- I mean without thinking." The sand ninja cursed his stupidity and the speed of his mouth compared to that of his head.
