Galena pressed the dull, metal tip of one of her hair sticks to her fingertip and watched the way it pushed against her skin with a sullen sort of blankness before she twisted it. It was rare to see her hair actually down, and but she couldn't use her weapons as accessories forever.

After a few foiled and humiliating mishaps in her effort to bumble around the Negaverse, she had set out tonight with the intention of messing someone up. She was going to drain someone's energy all by herself, damn it. Even if it killed them both.

As soon as she got up the nerve to get up off the bench and stop messing with her hilariously under utilized weapons.

Oh god why was this so hard?

Was politely asking so far out of the question?

Peklo was, ironically, doing the exact same thing as Galena not five feet away from her. She was seated on a bench, absolutely terrified of the now-becoming-familiar aura of a negaverse agent.

She'd spent most of the night "patrolling" which consisted of ducking behind buildings, avoiding dark alleys and occasionally diving into bushes for the cover they provided. She'd only decided to take a break for JUST one second. Just a second to catch her breath (diving into bushes WAS hard work after all), and then she'd determined to get up and start patrolling again.

It was then that the other girl's presence had been noticed, and Peklo had just sat there. She couldn't risk casually getting up and walking away, lest it alert the girl. Oh no- could negaverse agents sense her too? Did they have aura-reading abilities?

Oh no.

Galena could, in fact, feel the page's aura and while initially she hadn't pegged it quite as an enemy aura, she eventually likened it to being similar to Ashur's, and Babylon's if weaker.

That girl is most definitely an enemy, was the conclusion she'd come to, ut she didn't react at first. She sat there, eyes only flicking upwards briefly before she went back to starting down at the metal hair stick in her hands.

Staring, staring, and staring. And then after an awkwardly long moment, she quietly got up and brushed off her skirt, slide the hair pin behind her hair, and stiffly approached, standing in front of poor Peklo with her hands neatly engaged in front of her.

"Good evening," She said with a measured, if soft spoken tone. "Do you identify yourself as my enemy? If so, I believe we are supposed to fight now."

Peklo didn't look up for approximately thirty seconds after Galena had spoken. Maybe if she just ignored it, the girl would go away. That's what you were supposed to do with animals, after all. Play dead- like a possum!

Except the negaverse agent didn't go away, and Peklo was stuck in a relatively awkward position. She had nothing to fight with except her soft fur swatch (some good that was going to do her!) so even if by sheer luck the negaverser didn't have a weapon, Peklo was still positively screwed.

"Um ... I-I am a knight of m-miss Chronos. Are you um ... are you not nice?" That was the most threatening thing she could muster up to say.

It was going to be a long "battle."

Galena folded her fingers together and held them at her midsection as if she was pondering a proposal of some sort.

"I do not believe 'nice' is encouraged interaction. Is this a normal tactic you use? Posing such questions on your enemy? How does one operate in a war in such a way?"

Her flat tone might've made what seemed like obvious or rhetorical questions come across as sarcastic, but unfortunately for them both, Galena was deadly serious.

The various approaches and angles each individual had to the underground war of Destiny City was an endless curiosity to her. It was sadly a fact of her nature that she couldn't make her tone seem any more approachable.

"Um ... I don't know ..." Peklo said slowly, eyes widening a bit as Galena interrogated her on "normal" behavior. Quite frankly, Peklo didn't know what was normal and what wasn't. Well no, that wasn't completely true. She definitely knew that the negaverser was supposed to be attacking her.

Clunkily, she continued, "I d-don't ... I don't know wh-what you're saying um ... I think y-you're supposed t-to attack?" Peklo threw her hands over her mouth, realizing she'd practically invited the woman to punch her in the face. She really needed to stop being so clumsy!

Peklo waved her arms in front of her and said, "No no, but you d-don't have to!!" It was a weak defense, but she had to try!

One arched eyebrow quirked up at the suggestion and Galena held that expression with complete stillness as poor Peklo threw her hands over her mouth.

"You did I'm supposed to," She crooned, but she made no move to follow through on the accidental invitation. Instead, she found watching the poor, uncertain page an interesting enough endeavor on it's own.

"How old are you?"

Peklo was in the process of backing away very slowly centimeter by centimeter.

But then Galena asked her a question before attacking. That was something that had never happened before. Mostly they just insulted her (with true things, of course), and then punched he around for a bit. Well this was a nice change of pace.

"Um ... f-fourteen. Wh-Why?" she stuttered, unsure of Galena's aim. She really hoped that she wasn't falling into a trap.

Galena was not the most outwardly warm or typically maternal person in the world. But she still had a soft spot for people that were still, somewhat, children.

"Fourteen is a bit young to be calling yourself a knight and walking about dangerous streets," She said softly, and stepped a bit closer. However, she kept her hands primly folded in front of her, hoping that could be taken as a sign she wasn't about to swing any fists. If anything, her normally emotionless tone of voice took a softer, even warmer hint to it.

"Do your parents know?"

For every movement that Galena took forward, Peklo took another one back. She didn't want to be caught up in this! No sir, not her!

"Um ... um n-no, but that's okay. I m-mean probably. They would just worry I th-think it would be bad," she stuttered. Although Galena's tone had softened out of kindness, it just made Peklo that much more terrified.

"Well, yes," Galena angled her head a bit as she looked at the little knight, and brushed a few stray curls away from her own face.

"I would be worried, if I was a parent, about my daughter roaming the streets at night where she could be attacked by all manner of monsters and... enemies,"

Okay even she had to admit, for all of her lacking knowledge in how to appear warm and fuzzy, that came off as vaguely threatening. Still, she folded her hands together again and stared Peklo down.

"You should go home."

Peklo nodded anxiously and turned to leave from the fight. She wanted no trouble whatsoever and this lady was offering her a free pass.

But ...

She'd told Celsus she wouldn't keep doing this. She'd determined to buck up! To be a better person! To fight!

... Well maybe not fight. She still didn't really want to fight. But she did want to stick up for herself. "Um ... n-n-no. We- We are supposed to attack!" Her tiny hands curled into fists, holding them in front of her face in a very pathetic sort of fashion. "I w-will let you strike first!" Okay so she wasn't totally ready to do this.

Galena stared at Peklo’s reaction, acknowledging her attempt to be brave but not really seeing the value in fighting her.

She watched her stance, at her tiny curled fists, and arched one eyebrow in silent thought. Peklo was young, and while Galena was learning knights were much more amiable to her, on average, than the senshi she encountered she still was not known throughout the land an especially generous person or stalwart bastion of ethics.

She had done her part, and offered Peklo a way out. And she didn’t take it.

Galena’s preparation was slow and if she didn’t have an enemy standing there waiting for her to strike it was easy to see how she would lose a brawl. She carefully took off each, dainty lace glove one by one and tucked them away in her jacket. She checked her nails, adjusted her stance, and then moved to actually throw a punch at the little knight.
