"Shhhhhh." Isidore giggled, glancing at his sister. They were playing a new game, hide and seek with Scimitar. It was exciting because Scimitar was -really- good at seeking. So they had to be really inventive with hiding places. The pair of them had managed to climb up on top the bookshelves in their mother's study. It hadn't been too difficult Caelia had stood on his back and used the shelves like a ladder and then he had followed her up. They were perched on top of them, trying to be quiet as Scim padded around below them, sniffing at the floor and then at other things in the room. "This was a good idea Cae." Isi whispered, despite his having shushed her not moments before.

"Of course it was." Most of her ideas were amazing ideas ! At least up until the moment where they blew up in her face. Or their faces, as it often tended to be.
But this one idea was totally foolproof, she was certain of this. Scim would never find them up here !

Kyrie was completely unaware of her siblings' new wonderful game. She had been so absorbed in building her nest in the garden, she had not really seen much of them during their usual playtime over the past week. Bouncing down the hallway in her mother's dress, she'd pause every so often to poke her head into a room. They had to be -somewhere-. Arriving at her mother's study, she fluffed her feathers happily at the sight of Scim. If he was here, her brother would not be far off. There was no telling about Cae, but hopefully she would be with him. Stepping into the room, she held her hand out to the grim.
"Hi Scimmy. Where's Isi?" she asked him as she petted him and glanced around the room.

Isidore grinned at Caelia, he liked playing hide and seek with her, she always thought of the best places. He shuffled to the edge of the top of the shelf as he heard a voice, it sounded like Kyrie, bot not really at the same time. He peered out and blinked. There was someone strange there, someone tall, dressed like their mother. But ...
He forgot his game and sat up. "Kyrie?" He said, reaching up to rub his eyes, surely that couldn't be her??

Uh ? Her brother's confused question had her own head peek out from the top of the bookcase as well, her pinkish eyes open wide. Of course that certainly looked like their sister, and anything that resembled their sister but wasn't Kyrie would be a very hard thing to find but...
Certainly not, right ? "Ky ?" She echoed Isidore's confusion, blinking all the while. What was going on here ?

Kyrie's attention shot up to the confused voices above her head and she lifted her arm to give her siblings a wave. Part of her was relieved to see that they had not grown just yet. It was going to be nice to have something a bit special for a while. But on the other hand, she was sad that they hadn't grown yet. They did everything together. It would be hard to do that when she was bigger and supposed to act more like a grown up. "Look! I grew!" she called out to them and then gave a little twirl. "I was just minding my own business and... and I got all of these feathers all of a sudden. I was scared, but it didn't hurt. I promise," she smiled up at them. "Do you feel any different?" she asked with a note of hopefulness.

Isidore stared at his sister, now his big sister? She did look really grown up, like Kios. He shifted on top of the shelf to sit up, Scim barked at them. "Shhh Scimmy." He said softly then glanced to Caelia, did he feel different? "I don't feel different." He voiced. "But ... are you sure it didn't hurt?" He would imagine growing like that might hurt, you had to stretch like a rubber band but not ping back into place. "You look sooo grown up."

Caelia was still staring, in spite of herself. Her mommy would have certainly have reminded her of how impolite she was being right now, but her mind was running in circles, trying to understand exactly what had happened.
Did she feel any different ? "Uh..." She didn't really think so. But But she was still staring. Was this really Kyrie ?

Kyrie looked between her brother and sister. They both wore the same look of surprise on their faces, which prompted her to look down at herself again. She was certainly bigger in some places, had a few more feathers, and then there were her feet, but she didn't think she was all that different. But maybe they were seeing something she didn't. Her brother's voice drew her attention back up to the shelf and she shook her head.
"Well... maybe just a little bit. Though the worst part was when I fell. I couldn't walk on the floor inside at first," she declared and held a clawed foot up for them to see. "It really is me," she said with a note of desperation for them to see it was still her. "I didn't mean for it to happen."

Isidore smiled at Kyrie, he believed it was her of course, he was just having trouble processing that it was her. She was different, obviously Kyrie, but different. He glanced to Caelia and smiled. "Hey if Kyrie is grown up, that means she can take us on adventures, no boring adults." He moved to lay on his front on the shelf and wiggled off backwards, his feet waving in the air till he found the top shelf to climb down.

Oh, now that what a plan she could get behind ! Like Isidore, she was having issues processing this, but she could certainly see the advantages of such a development. "Must be strange walking with your feet like that." There was an hint on concern in Caelia's voice, but Kyrie seemed fine.
What she wanted to do, however, was to have a better look of her sister, so Caelia started the trek down as well.

Kyrie laughed at her brother's reasoning. She was not entirely sure if their parents would agree with such a thing, but it was something certainly worth exploring. As he began to climb down, she moved away from Scim to the bookshelf. Reaching up, she grabbed him by his waist and pulled him down the rest of the way. Laughing again at her sister's comment about her feet, she nodded and reached up for her too. Being taller and stronger was certainly already a nice advantage, she decided.
"It was strange at first, but I've figure it out now. It all happened so fast, I didn't even notice my feet had changed until I ran inside. I couldn't grip the stone floor," she said with a small shrug. "It's still a little slippery, but I might try to find something to help that when I look for new clothes."

Isidore hadn't been expecting her to help him the rest of the way down, he grinned as she did and bounced on the floor a little. "Wow, this is crazy Kyr, you're so tall!" He looked up at her, she still looked mostly the same, only with bigger bits here and there. None of that was as interesting as the possibilities, she could do grown up things now and that was exciting. "You'll have to get special shoes or something." He said, crouching down so he could get a good look at her feet.

"That is so awesome." There was no shortage of awe in Caelia's voice as her sister carried her back to the floor. Could she spin her like daddy did ? Oh, that was probably better left to be attempted when they would be outside. Mommy was pretty adamant of no such things happening inside, after all.
"Maybe you could go ask uncle Xun. He has feet kinda like that, doesn't he ?" Surely he'd be able to give Kyrie some pointers.

Kyrie gently set her sister's feet down on the floor and followed their attention down to her feet. Holding onto the shelves, she lifted one so they could get a better look at them. "Oh! Cae! That's a brilliant idea. I'll have to go find him and ask him what he did. Uncle Xun is so clever," she grinned excitedly and flexed her taloned toes. "I really hope that you both grow soon too. We'll get to do all sorts of exciting things together," she smiled and moved to kneel before them.
