Galena wasn't sure how long it would take before she felt comfortable going on an energy gathering expenditure on her own, but apparently tonight wasn't the night.
She just couldn't get over brute force and how very foreign the idea seemed to her. She was a quiet, and soft personality and while she had no qualms watching a superior officer break down a civilian for harvest, she had not really gotten the hang of the idea of doing it herself.
It seemed very inappropriate and rude.
She had other talents, and surely she had been recruited for a reason. But quotas were still difficult and she was still new at the whole process, so when she had gone out tonight, determined to make some progress, she found herself strolling down the street, twisting the fingertips of her gloves and thinking of a hundred plans.
That she would likely never execute. So far, she hadn't even attempted; The fresh lieutenant was totally empty handed.

There was a lieutenant near. Near enough to feel me? Maybe. Maybe not yet. It had taken adjusting, months ago, to the expanded awareness he commanded as a Super Senshi and also to trying to predict the awareness of others of his own greater aura. Too many eternals. Too many Generals. She will soon enough. He answered himself and shifted to action from a perch. He had kept up with the ropes retreat, with or without Alex or fair weather. It was helping his speed and accuracy in getting around different 'roads' than ones on the ground plotted by civic planning. When he could see her- raven hair and something like a business suitdress, and heels, he wanted to ask the Cosmos one question. Really? It was entirely possibly he was underestimating her. She might own his face as readily as the red and black bondage-chick had done. But it was hard to take much dread away from a side-slit and heels. He aimed a leap to land in front of her path- still out of arms reach, but a very present barrier. "One chance, Lieutenant. Surrender, to search and mercy, and you will walk away from this with your life. Resist and meted will be the worse."

Galena had yet to master the way being powered flooded her senses, and if she had been aware those extra senses would grow as she rose in rank, she might have very well cowed at the fear a rise in power would leave her catatonic.
The reality was, her mind was having trouble accepting her new circumstances of being inducted into the secret underground wars of terrorists and gangs and magic and monsters and was absolutely rejecting all of this absurdity. Parsing out the sixth sense of auras was not only one of many troubles, but one far down on her list of priorities.
Which led to the sad circumstance that she was alerted to the super senshi's presence when e suddenly threw himself in front of her path not by any merit of her own alertness. And he was making threats.
She halted immediately and drew her hands up in front of her body defensively as she frantically looked around, not sure for what or who.
"I... I'm sorry?" She stammered out, breathless and wide eyed. "Surrender to what?"
His order signature was at the forefront of her mind now, and his white bodice was the clincher. She knew they were enemies and he was one of the villainous factions she was supposed to be warring against, but motivations and exact execution had yet to be sussed out.
Playing dumb seemed like the easiest route for now.

"You will be searched- Removed of energy or starseeds if you carry any. The harvest of energy conducted by the Negaverse is unlawful theft. The taking of Starseeds is murder. " Thraen approached watchful, but deliberate, to swords-distance. Talk had been a tactic he'd seen before now to stall for time, and explanations didn't require standing still. "Make your choice." There's still that weapon unaccounted for. Or even just her hands are bad enough. She can touch a starseed as readily as any other or their organization. "Or I will make it for you. I will not play games of lives."

Unlawful theft.
Galena's jaw tightened. Normally it was hard to make her speak, but in this instance the urge to argue bubbled and clearly needed to e quashed. He was a level above her in power and senshi used magic, she remembered.
Magic was intangible and unpredictable. It was best not to allow things to come to blows.
"What gives you the authority to demand a search of my person?" She queried, trying to hide the indignity of the situation. Her stance shifted, her hands open and intentionally held in such a way to show she carried no weapon, and her short jacket hid no secrets.
"I have no energy. I have never even taken a starseed," She insisted. Which was the truth.
Even if only by virtue of inexperience and a lack of opportunity and nothing of moral motivations.

"The fact that I consider myself a law abiding citizen of the United States of America, actually. It also demands that you not be a part of an organization that partakes in such theft and murder. " He approached cautiously, not willing to taker her 'word' and raised arms alone, "Hands against that wall. " "If you're not familiar with codified state laws, a warrantless arrest may be made by a private person for a felony, misdemeanor or 'breach of peace' in just about every state in the country you're standing on. Being a part of a terrorist organization, prowling around with a weapon...that makes you rather close to the breach of the common peace. I just open myself up to possible lawsuit, demanding it, so feel free to take it up in the courts that a senshi stopped you, infringed on your personal rights by checking to make sure you weren't using other citizens as chattel or harvest if you really feel that the Negaverse isn't murdering people, stealing soul-seeds, energy, and committing terrorist acts at public events. " "For now, comply. Hands on that wall and then Don't. Move. "

Galena stared as he rattled off statements of some pseudo authority. There was some tension winding tighter and tighter with everyone word he said until the anger at her own futility turned back to nausea.
Galena wanted to argue. To counter that he was wrong and mistaken and reject his premise that energy and starseeds had anything to do with the statutes he was speaking of. She wanted to play dumb, and tell him that she had been taken into their ranks without explanation or consent and had yet to be part of any terrorist activities or operations. She had the material to advertise innocence and naivete.
But in the end, she cowered.
Her normally pasty face flushed in shame and embarrassment as she put her hands on the wall like he demanded. Of all the possible angles and arguments and defiance she had swirling through her mind, none of it managed to make it to articulation. All she said, as she looked at the ground, was a quiet, "I'm not carrying a weapon."
Which was a lie, and not even a very good one.

"I don't believe that." If senshi could summon and desummon phones from hammer space, and captain's of the Negaverse could teleport, he would not bet any money that the appearance of not having a weapon correlated in any way to the truth. Once her hands were securely on the wall, Thraen wasted no time or squeamishness- it was a full pat down. He was brisk, and couldn't have been further removed from pervy with how business the motions were. No energy, no starseeds. It was surprising, but not out of all reckoning. Thraen backed to allow her conversational space again. "If you value this world, leave the Negaverse as soon as you can. Those who treat the lives of the world as kine see no more worth to it than slaughter and profit- that isn't protecting it or the people you might hold dear. " It was all the rhetoric he had heart for. If it were enough to plant a seed of thought, of consideration of the whys and whats they were doing, rather than just drunken reveling in the power and whatever else made people think the Negaverse was a good idea, maybe it was worthwhile. He didn't expect so, however.

Perversion was the farthest thing from Galena's mind as she suffered the search. The humiliation of being forced to submit to such a thing was quickly generating into anger under the intense pressure in her chest. Frustrated with her own powerlessness and frustrated with him for not giving her a pass.
Unrealistically, she found him to be entirely unreasonable for not halting his mission in order to usher her through without punishment or consequence for the side she'd been recruited to. By the time she'd been allowed to move back and face him again, all of the force of that frustration and the restraint it took to keep it bottled up neatly inside her ribcage was showing in the blatant tension in her expression and the tight way she knit her fingers together and held them in front of her torso.
She stared intently, but at her hands, not at the senshi himself.
"I don't even know what the war is. The general who stuck her hand in my chest didn't exactly explain, she just seemed to find amusement in it. The other officers elaborate you're supposed to be extraterrestrials?" She finally mustered out, strained, and with a demeanor as if the words themselves were disgusting. At least, speaking to him was. She was flashing back to that moment now, comparing him with her recruiting officer.
She would play nice, make conversation, and be agreeable, because she was averse to the risk being defiant would garner.
At all of the broiling hatred and contempt would need to be packaged tightly and swept under the rug.
"How would one even go about leaving in the first place?"

"I was born in Michigan, to regular people like your own parents. Aliens, 'other', I should expect would not be. " He sighed, "Some people might consider Michigan another planet." "I'm as Homo sapiens sapiens as you are." "As for leaving the negaverse, I expect the people with the best chance of answers are the guardian cats and the Royalty. The latter at least the most likely to have the power to do it, though the process I've never heard described. In the meantime, finding an ally among the senshi or knights who can help you find shelter. " "I cannot speak for other senshi, and with how fractious our numbers and opinions are I don't expect any can, but I do not want to rule Earth or to steal anything from it." He turned on his heel, "Taking energy from others is theft. Taking a starseed is murder. And so far as I've seen, the Negaverse does both as though people were a harvest of wheat- only when is the sowing time? It is a fire-fallow cultivation, unsustainable and murderous to this planet and for what? 'Ousting' senshi who aren't taking over anything. We aren't Infiltrating governments, only ashing youma and stopping harvest. " "Think it over. "

She watched him turn.
She was obviously listening.
But her expression remained taught in the same confines it had been. She said nothing, and only fixed her burning eyes on his figure as he spoke.
Tonight had been illuminating in several ways for the new lieutenant. She had gained a few new vocabulary words and learned a valuable course of action was available to her. She could, in fact, leave. She would have to find one of these guardians or royals and ask more questions.
Later. That was secondary in comparison to what was mostly on her mind. And that was that there would be repercussions for what had happened tonight. She didn't have the means to now, and didn't know when she would, but she could nurse a grudge. And soon she would demand retribution for tonight's humiliation.
A slow and measured exhale escaped her nostrils before the tense woman turned away herself and exited the area with urgency.
