Zia never claimed to be a cat person, but animals were a strange sort of comfort. Especially with her dog having been missing for what was going on months now and she had essentially given up hope of keeping a pet.
So when she ended up with the amnesiac remains of what had once been Realgar and his cats, she found herself awkwardly clinging to the cat carrier, almost afraid to open it for fear the furry creature inside would abandon her.
"The spare bedroom is down there, it's kind of bare bones," She said in a monotone as she stepped through the door of the penhouse into the wide, open space that accounted for the kitchen, living room, and dining area. The floor was slightly raised to signify the difference, and the bar cordoned off the kitchen further. The sectional couch in front of the entertainment center, and beyond that the floor to ceiling windows was a familiar area where Realgar had been dragged previously for first aid and again for sick time company.
It was beyond that in a mysterious, never before allowed to be entered hallway where his bed apparently was.
"Do they bite?" She asked, peeking in one of the carrier holes at the poor creature, and continuously dancing around her reaction to finding out his previous civilian identity.

Thingie, one of the poor creatures in question, sprung up with a bright, curious and slightly bird like chirp to look Zia in the eye as she peered into the carrier the young white and black cat shared with a sulking fluff with resentful eyes that was Josephine. "Not normally, and even if the big guy does..." he sat down the carrier with the enormous, sleepy Mac. "It won't be without a lot of warning." He'd browsed his own notes for a bit, for the parts he might have forgotten. "...Should I shut these guys in the bedroom?" He added, uncertainly. They'd be pissed to be shut down to one room, but it might save her some hastle anyway. It was a bit weird, all of it, but he guessed all starting points had the commonality of being sort of awkward and uncomfortable. And this was definitely a starting point to new things. And also at least it was a big place, because that left room for the elephant that had followed them. The one named Falco Marks, which had upset her so much at the park.

"No," Zia answered with a quick snap before she realized that might've sounded too eager or welcoming, not wanting the poor things released only to be confined to a slightly bigger cage.
She was adamant she was not a cat person, it was a claim she would stick to until she died.
"I mean, you don't have to," She said as she set the carrier down on the lacquered wood floor just where it was raised a step to denote a separation of living area and dining area, and then crouched down on her knees to peer inside before delicately opening the door.
She would much rather focus on them than Kairatos-not-Realgar and his stupid erasure of Falco Marks.
"Do you want to order a pizza or something?" The mundane was much safer.

Predictably, Thingamajigger was the first one out, tail pointed like an exclamation mark, he popped out, whiskers bushed forward and ears perked with excitement to examine Zia, sniffing at her skin and clothes and trying to rub his cheeks and side on her as he purred. Hello person. Hello it was so exciting to meet you. What a fascinating person you were.
Josephine, equally predictable, continued to glare from the back of the carrier for several moments before she unwound herself, emerging with as much stately dignity as you could if you looked like an pom pom with a feathery tail, sitting down inches outside her carrier and deliberately stopping to groom her tail, side eying Kairatos and Zia both with a level of disdain that would have done Zirconia credit.
Mac emerged afterward, glancing around with half lidded eyes and deciding that instead of sulking or examining people, he should check out everything else instead.
"Pizza sounds good if you want..." Yeah... she was still really upset. REALLY upset. He was pretty sure of that, and for now he'd tread carefully. Maybe she'd calm down and actually talk about it it later, but right now he didn't want to get kicked out.

For being a cat, Zia seemed to react to the affection from the feline with stiff shock at the alien being rubbing the side of his head on her hand. But after a moment she warmed up to him and rubbed her fingers on the fur behind his ear.
But after she threw her cellphone at not-Falco and almost broke down looking at him, somehow the poor creature got more affection than he bargained for when he became Harley-replacement, and she was clinging to him on the sofa trying to cover up the painful throbbing in her skull that was still convincing her to break down into tears from all of the weird emotions of the night.
She didn't say anything to him. What was she supposed to say? 'You're closer to me than you've ever been but I'm terrified I'm going to miss you and we've made a horrible mistake?'
Zia couldn't articulate or initiate reaction, she just curled up on the sofa trying to nurse wounds of loss, old and new ones.
Now was a weird time to be consumed with grief over a lost dog.

Kairatos/"Not-Falco" went a little wide eyed as the cell phone tumbled through the air in his direction, grabbing at it hastily as he pictured what would happen if he missed. He really didn't think she'd be too thrilled if it hit the floor and broke. "...You got a phone book or something?" He couldn't remember most restraunt numbers off the top of his head, and he wasn't sure what her preference was. At least she seemed to be doing ok with Thingamajigger. The white and black cat made a startled chirp, then burried his head against her, purring like an engine and making kneading motions in the air.

"What exactly do you remember?" Apparently his questions about phone books were going unanswered as Zia continued avoided eye contact and focused intently on petting the strange creature making his odd little noises and actions in her grip.
"Didn't you say something about notes earlier?"

"Yeah.... Yeah I did." He noted, fishing in his pockets. "...I have some info on the cats... but..." He didn't seem to have anything else in there. "Apparently I took someone's advice on that not being a marvelous idea... or I left it someplace else..." He noted, trying not to emphasize the word someone. "I remember being an agent of the Negaverse, and what I did then...." He remembered the oil pit, and the light going out of two peoples eyes, but he didn't feel like talking about that, or the memory of all that rage. He'd blamed the senshi for... something. The memory was like a set of foggy, sun faded snapshots, a jumble of disconnected images and the distant memory of pain and fear. He'd been going fast, then he'd.... crashed he guessed. The details squirmed away, like trying to catch fish with your bare hands. He could barely brush them with his fingertips and then they swirled effortlessly out of his reach, glittering just out of his ability to access them. "...Not much else."
