Cherry stepped in through the door to Under Lock and Key. Her blue sparkling eyes darted around as she stepped in. Her long mahogany tresses bounced behind her shoulders. Her eyes took in the environment. Yeah. This was exactly the kind of thing she had on her mind earlier that afternoon. Possibly every afternoon for the last week or two. Cherry had been thinking lately how that she just didn't get out enough. She had all these bottled up ideas and ambitions for where her life could go, but all she did was work and bake at home. Well, sometimes, she went on the sometimes trips to the park to indulge in her casual photography. Still, she just didn't get out very often. Tonight.. tonight was for her. While she was young, single, and childless enough to live it up and have all the fun she wanted. She pranced over to the bar. She stood there trying to think of what she wanted. She didn't know, but she did want to get drunk or something. She then noticed another girl not far down the bar counter. The girl's hair looking almost a shade or primrose. How pretty! Cherry looked at the glass in her hand. She scooted down to inquire about it. " What you drinking there? Is it any good?"

It had been a long time since Delilah was in the mood to drink and party, but she'd started dragging herself to places in order to take advantage of having not only an actual real ID, but to drown her misery and pretend to be okay. All of that was working well for her at the Lock and Key, because the bartender was friendly and cute and so were most of the patrons.
She was on her third cocktail and feeling far more friendly when someone finally addressed her directly, and she turned to the other woman and smiled, quickly taking her in and definitely pleased with what she saw. Although she wouldn't be trying to take this girl home, she would definitely flirt a little.
"This? Apple pie martini," she held up the glass and laughed, "and it's absolutely excellent."

"It's called a spicy tart," Destiny corrected while wiping down the counter. All of the drinks were named in a similar fashion: the spicy tart, the saucy wench, the sweet strumpet. It was part of their gimmick and seemed to attract a certain crowd. Not that she was complaining, mind you. This place was embedded somewhere in her bones.
The bar was hers, well hers and her partner's and though they did good business she was a very hands on owner. Her partner Karma, on the other hand, liked to be on the more playful side of the business. The colorful lamps in the bar, for example, all of Karma's doing. And those would be changed out, like clockwork, next week for something else she chose. It was as endearing as it was aggravating.
She'd had the pleasure of Delilah's company for a while now but she turned to address the newcomer, setting a cardboard coaster in front of her. A charming smile followed as she tucked a loose chunk of chestnut hair behind her ear.
"Welcome to the Lock and Key. Can I see some ID?"
Assuming that was in order she was more than happy to serve Cherry whatever it was she wanted.

Cherry's expression brightened seeing the friendly and flirtatious demeanor of the girl she had spoken to. Oh good. At first she wasn't sure about coming out on her own. It was usually good to go with someone; guy or girl. Seeing as this was going well; her concerns melted away. " Apple pie martini huh? That sounds great. I love anything to with pie." Well, until they were suddenly corrected. Cherry looked up at the bartender with a big smile. She went into charming Cherry mode. " I thank you for correcting us. A spicy tart huh? Is there a shot called something pie? Or a cherry something shot?" Correcting them. Mmmm. There was something about correction that sometimes appealed to Cherry. Then, she heard if she had her ID. She had been smart enough to stick it in the back of her nylons just under the elastic. It was that or in her boobs. Not that she didn't do that too. She used her chest for holding the money, and her ID was at her back. She'd used that method before, and it was good for preventing her from losing it, dropping it, or breaking it by sitting on it. She slid her hand in behind her back pulling it out and holding it up for the bartender to review. " Thank you for asking. Makes me feel so young." Not that was too surprising to her. Looking young must contribute to her good looks.

"Spicy tart," Lila acknowledged, taking a sip and laughing softly. She'd have to come here more often - the bartender was friendly, the patrons were pretty, and the drinks were excellent. "Can I get another one?" She asked, since she was almost finished with it.
She fluttered her eyelashes at the girl next to her. "I'm Delilah," she said, "but I'm Lila to just about everyone." She would have to remind herself to keep it down, to keep herself under control, but it had been such a long time since she'd gone out and had real fun with alcohol.
She'd just have to remember Serenity waiting at home.

Destiny shook her head and tried not to adopt an expression that would give away what she was wondering: what was the deal with her and pie? I mean, there were probably weirder fixations but still...was this a sexual thing for her or a play on her name? They were sort of open with the sexual theme of their menu. It was a bar run by lesbians, after all, that catered to men (and women).
"I'm afraid our menu has a theme of sorts and pie really doesn't belong."
Checking ID was an essential part of the job. She did it quickly and efficiently before handing the card back to the girl. She tried to think it over, what did they have with cherries in it? It did take long for the answer to light up her eyes and she went about mixing up the drink and set it before her patron.
"That, my dear, is a Juicy Bint."
She acknowledged Delilah with a nod and mixed up another drink for her, sliding it up when she was finished. All in all she really loved her job and looking at pretty women pretty much only made it better.

Cherry lifted and dropped her long chocolate tresses from off her shoulder letting them slide down her back. It was a haughty gesture she often did when she was working other people's attention. When her mouth smiled, her eyes matched. " Nice to meet you, Miss Lilah. My real name is Cerise, but I mostly go by Cherry." When she spoke, she licked her lips lightly before tucking her lower lip up under her upper teeth and sucking on it a moment waiting for her shot. " Ooooh, that sounds promising! A juicy bint!" She slammed it back. "Oh yes. Can I have like... two more of those?" The menu... Well, Cherry hadn't bothered to look at the menu. She had found that a lot of bars she went to had bartenders who were amazing at mixing shots not listed on the menus. Cherry had no interest in going to bars to drink cute little tall drinks that took an hour to nurse. She went to bars for dancing and shooting. Well, and to find company. Waiting on her drink, she gave their bartender a look over. She was cute too. As was this Lilah she was standing next to. ZaiaFantasy if you guys wanna finish; i'm all for finishing. she's not really that person anymore... but.. i can still write it..
