Life Hunter BATTLE ARENA General Information The portal opens up into an observation room, and down the stairs, an odd chamber for something like hunter training. At the center of a piranha-filled pool stands a solid stone table and several chairs. The Life Arena was built underneath the demolitions and ballistics testing areas, and the chamber rumbles with the occasional explosions above. Pinpoint red lasers sweep across the room regularly, as if hidden snipers are searching for a nice target. In the center of the table sits a wooden tower, made up of smaller wooden blocks. Yes. That's right. The Life Hunters prefer to train via Jenga.
If you fail: you have knocked down the tower! A small dart hits the back of your neck. You come to several hours later, and hope Dr. H didn't do anything to your body while you were unconscious. When you look into the mirror...
If you win: you have reached 50 points! You get a sharpie marker to do with as you please. peen points go to those with the highest scores.
Mechanics - by carefully removing pieces of the tower, you earn points and advance to the next round. As the rounds continue, the odds grow steadily against you. Rolling a 1 at any point means you have knocked down the tower. Please do enjoy your mystery dart. Anything after reaching 50 points is purely for peen.
- you may roll pieces individually (suggested for group play) or in batches of 5 (basically, a full round.)

Kostya had not managed to finish many courses, and he had heard the horror stories of completing the Life Training Course from many techs in the labs. Worse, he often heard the stories of what they did to bodies when someone lost. He had quickly decided a buddy system was the only way to ensure his body was safe. Kostya showed up at 9:30 AM sharp at America's door, knocking on it with a gloved hand. Syntax was already summoned-- primarily because he was an excellent source of light down in the basement. "America," he said, "is me. Are free for favor?"

Syntax meant she'd seen him coming through the barred door well before he'd arrived, giving her just enough time to be wearing something other than her skivvies as she greeted him with fierce grin. "Oh, we gonna spar again?"

Kostya's reply was the raising of a single eyebrow, and a head nod in the direction he wanted to go in. He had a feeling her curiosity would win her over, or at least, he hoped so. Otherwise he would need to recalculate his predictions of her behaviour.
"Is a surprise," he said, not quite realising the fact that it was a fairly boring surprise.

"O hoooo!" America stepped out and followed, making small sounds of pleased curiosity as she tried to figure it out but didn't give voice to any of her guesses. The fact that Kostya was being actively playful like this was surprising enough on its own, really.

In the end, he had led her straight to the Life Labs, through a pair of double doors, the placard outside it labelled with BATTLE ARENA. Kostya flexed his hand within Syntax's grip, and offered America a polite head tilt. "Vas doing reading," he said, eye-balling the portal that would take them to the Arena itself. "Can get bandage for battle, if do this. Am not having a heal, so is being very good to have, am thinking." The slightest quirk of the lips, even as he remembered fainting in America's arms because of reasons. "Be prepared, da? Like boy scout?" lizbot EARLY MORNING TAG OF TAGGING

America's eyes went a little wide and sparkling at the sign and portal. She nodding along with Konstantin's explanation, smile slipping a little at the remind, pinning down to a more serious determination. "Yeah, this is important."

It was a strange room, and not at all what he had imagined from the name battle arena. There was a table with two chairs on either side of it, a game resting gently upon its surface. Gingerly, he took a seat, and stared at the interlocking pieces. He had never played jenga before, but it was self explanatory, given the construction of the playing field. With a cautious hand, Kostya began removing the first piece, with a slow and methodical touch. "Life is being a very odd division," he said, and indicated for America to take her turn. America looked around the room one part dismayed the other morbidly interested in the lasers, ominous figures in the water, and the sounds of distant explosions. Taking a seat, she rolled up her sleeve and assessed the situation. Right. She could do this, no problem. She could do this drunk and post break-up. Carefully she plucked out a wooden piece, confidence rising. Status Round: 1 Pieces Taken: 1 Total Points: 1

"Interesting," he said, cautiously sneaking a hand towards the tower, "that this is course no vun vant to do. Many people say horror story of vhat experience here." Kostya removed one more piece, and fixed America with an even stare. "If ve are friend, and you are President, anyvun touch me is act of var." He sounded awfully serious. "Dunno...maybe they were doing real good until they took a laser to the eye?" America shrugged, pulling another piece and placing it carefully on top. His request received a solemn nod, "I'll take care of your body." Status Round: 1 Pieces Taken: 2 Total Points: 2

"Much appreciate," Kostya said. It was good to be prepared, especially for disasters. It was a trait America could understand, and even value. Boy Scout, she called. Kostya pulled another piece, and asked: "Basement var vith vampire girl. Is...still going?" Status Round: 1 Pieces Taken: 3 Total Points: 3

Kostya managed to bicker angrily enough in Russian to preserve the sanctity that was America's body. Most of her, anyway. They had drawn a singular d**k on her left hand: he considered it a success. He plucked the dart out of her neck, grimacing. Then, he resumed the game. She was out long enough for him to take two more pieces. He raised a brow at her, and said, glibly: "Is all about steady hand, President." Status Round: 1 Pieces Taken: 5 Total Points: 5
