And thus, Milo decided to partake in an outdoor activity and brave what he thought was colder weather. And break in a new pair of running shoes that he got on a day of leave. Yes, he went on a run about the island. His mind buzzy over the tokusatsu stuff he had been, and still was, reading through.
I missed a whole series of sentai! And the next one is about trains, Koume! Trains!
< I really don't care, aho.... > baneful I made a thing! I am sorry it is terrible... oh god, that title...

Chantelle was out and about herself, the island had comparatively pleasant weather which she was more than happy to take advantage of, and being out of the basement meant that no one could harass her either.
When she spotted Milo, someone she hadn't actually met before now, she waved a hand to try and grab his attention. "Hello!"

Even with his mind whirling with contemplations about his favorites television show, it wasn't impossible to flag down Milo. Upon spotting the waving hand with the greeting voice, the brunet slowed his pace until he came to a stop before Chantelle.
"Sup," Wait, quick squint. Girl, yes? Make up. Seemed so, yes. "wahine." He greeted, placing on a cheery smile as he brushed a hand through slightly damp hair. He had gotten a good few miles in, breaks included, before stopping at this one. So, well, there was sweat. "Nice to see a new face." He added. Yes, he was taken a little aback by the extremes but eh, who was he to judge. This was a new person he had yet to encounter, good times, right?baneful sorry for double notice, typo

Chantelle had no idea what Milo meant by wahine, but she tried not to show it, giving him a bright smile instead. "Like, really nice to meet you too and stuff." she said. "I'm Chantelle. Death division." She brightly went on. "You must like, be in one of the really fit divisions out taking exercise like that." She sighed sadly. "I'm no good at exercise like, I just get really out of breath and it messes with my makeup."

"Milo, Sun division," the brunet offered along with a hand. And was really glad that it seemed like she was really one of the friendlier bunches on island. Sure, she had waved him over but this so far was a better indicator. "So, I guess yeah. Though, I haven't seen any unfit people here, ya know?" He added with a low chuckle and a shrug.
"Also just habit." Milo mentioned, tapping the toe of his shoe into the ground.
He tilted his head to the side a little as she explained her predicament over exercise, and it probably wasn't in his place to make suggestions to a lovely lady. But he did anyway, "Sure there are things you can do, wahine, like walks. Or spars? Gotta stay in shape for this line of work, ya?" Death division didn't seem as on the front lines from what he knew. An intel group but they all sported weapons for the good fight and all.
"Could always wear a little less," Milo said while waving a hand around his face for emphasis.
< Might be treading on dangerous ground, aho... ghouls like their make up >
"Though, my sister wore make up when she danced and all, so seems doable..."

Chantelle shook the sun hunter's hand with a bright grin. "Nice to meet you. And like, yeah that's true, I guess people have to be fit mostly. I'm not really though, I'm like just not all that cut out for it."
"I should maybe like, take up walking, not spars though, I don't fight. I'm a pacifist! Everyone here is always like, so obsessed with sparring and fighting." She shook her head despairingly and then him a bit of as irritable look for the comment on her make up. "I can't wear less makeup, I'm a goth, if I wore less I'd just like, totally be some random person. My makeup defines me."
She crossed her arms standoffishly. "It's probably doable, like I guess. I guess I just really don't like exercise very much."

While goths weren't unheard of to Milo, just never really approach because of their usual brooding natures from what he could remember, a pacifist on an island like theirs seemed like an oddity. "Huuuh," he scratched his cheek (honestly idly wondering if she was like Nozama Tomoko, who carried around snake skins and did witchy things). "Well, we are called Hunters, ya? Need to be ready for when the monsters go bump in the night and all, hone our fightin' skills." Well, maybe this was why she was in Death, but wasn't it Life that did less hands on stuff?
"Nah, can't think you'd be any less of yourself with less make up." He continued to try, kind of admiring how stubborn she was about it. "And not sayin' you have to wear less of it all the time, just when you go on walks. If you want to go on walks. Kind of nice going around the island, have you seen a lot of it yet?" Was he changing subjects? Maybe just a little.
