Kousetsu had finally returned to her true home. It had been a long time since she had stepped foot back into this pride. Something inside her had missed it so much, yet she never thought about it until on her way back to these lands. Everything was almost like how it was when she had left, of course, there seemed to be way more lions. She hadn't recognized anyone since she got back
A sigh escaped her mouth at the thought of that. She didn't want to think about it. She took a deep breath and stood on a rock to get a better look about things. Some of the memories she had were fuzzed or blanked out, but that was probably for the best. She missed her other home, but she couldn't help but to feel happy to be here.
Letting the breath out, she finally hopped off the rock, having enough of a look around. She hadn't seen her son or her mate since they had arrived, but she wasn't completely worried about it. They had to get use to this land, it was something different than where they had come from. "Today is a lovely day." She spoke finally, to herself.

Shujaa wasn't sure where her kids had gone, but she imagined she didn't need to be too worried about them. After all, they had grown up and were more than ready to live their own lives. It was just hard to let them go when she knew she could go visit them whenever she wanted to. It was so much different than living in the rogue lands. She couldn't help but take advantage of it every now and again. It was... nice, not living in the hectic world where there were no pride boarders. Where anyone could just run up and snap your neck for the hell of it. The Pride lands were much more of a home. In that home, she noticed a face she wasn't sure she had seen before. A lioness who seemed to be commenting on the day all by herself. Smiling, Shujaa ventured over to the lady. "Hello," she offered gently, "are you new? Or lost, perhaps? I would be more than willing to help." That was kind of her thing.

She hadn't seen the other until she had spoke. Kousetsu jumped a little bit and giggled "Oh, dear!" She started with a startled voice. "I hadn't seen you there." She said. She had been too focused on what was around her land wise, that she hadn't noticed who was around her. She smiled at the other. "Well, I am kinda new, but not really." She said as she looked over at the other. She seemed different than a lion, but wasn't quite sure how...
Kousetsu hadn't seen a hybrid before, so this was a new thing as well. "I'm sorry, but you.... are you a lion?" She said, then realized that wasn't a very nice question. "Oh... I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be rude." She said shaking her head. Where had her manners gone?
"I'm Kousetsu," She started to introduce herself. "I use to live here when I was growing up." She said with a nod. "You could say, I'm returning from a very long leave of absences." That was the best way she could describe it.

Shujaa jumped when the female jumped, startled that she had managed to startle someone. "Oh! I'm sorry! I should have been a bit louder approaching," she laughed lightly, tail swishing in a good natured sort of way. She was pretty sure there was no harm done, so that was something to be thankful for. Still, her first impression needed a little work. She laughed again at the question, shaking her head. "No, don't worry about it- I get asked all the time." She was, after all, one of the only of her kind in the pridelands. She was pretty sure only her son was the same as her, actually. But she had never worried about it too much. "I'm Shujaa, and I'm half lion, half leopard. That's why I look a little... strange." She smiled warmly. If you couldn't laugh at yourself. "It's nice to have you back, then! I hope you had some grand adventures out on your own."

Kousetsu felt a little relief knowing the other was use to silly questions, not that it made things any better. She really shouldn't have been that rude at all. She smiled at the other now understanding why the other looked so strange. She had seen hybrids before, but not close enough to really comment on how they looked. She tended to avoid most anyone she didn't know when not in a pride.
"I do apologize, still." She said with a nod." Grand indeed!" She said now thinking about all of them. "Well, maybe not that grand." She said chuckling to herself. "I found myself in a desert for a while." She said without realize that perhaps it would be boring to tell another a story about where she had been. Especially since they had just met. "More sand than one would like to deal with in a day."

Shujaa smiled. It was really nothing to apologize for- it wasn't like she didn't like to talk about being different, or that she pretended she was just another lioness. It would have been too exhausting to get angry at everyone who looked at her with confusion or even annoyance. She could only smile back at them and be on her way, unaltered. That was the best way to accept what she was and not let it get her down when others didn't appreciate someone being different. She was glad, though, that lioness didn't seem to mind her appearance, and wasn't going to snub her for it. That was nice, too. "sand? I don't think I've ever seen a bunch of sand before," she hummed, "I guess because I've lived here so long. Were you just passing through that place?"

She smiled in return of the other's smile. At least she wasn't upset about it, she didn't know if it was something that would offend or not. Her tail flicked a bit and she thought about it for a moment. "Oh, my mate and I lived in the desert for some time." She said with a nod. "There was a pride out there that we lived in for a bit." She didn't know how else to say it.
"But it split up, and we both decided it was best to come back to my home town." She wasn't good out on her own, she realized. She felt much better in a group of many, and she realized that the moment the other pride decided to end things. She was happy that Kayo had agreed to it, and even one of their kids had come with them.

"Oh, I see," Shujaa hummed, "it's sad when a home comes to an end, but I'm glad it brought you back here, at least. And I'm envious that you have a mate!" She chuckled lightly, though she supposed she was being more serious that she would let on. Honestly, she did wish she had someone she could share her adventures with. Sure, she had kids, but they hadn't come from someone she loved. It had been...a bit of a fun night, putting it mildly. But she didn't think love wouldn't find her. It would just be... a bit trickier with her body and how animals looked at her. "I suppose I better get back to work soon," she said softly.

"Yes, sometimes it's best to go back where it all began when things don't turn out as well as you hoped." She said smiling at the other. "Oh! I'm sure you'll find someone." Kousetsu was sure of it. She had it in her mind that everyone found someone in the end. Of course, that wasn't all true, but a lioness could dream, right?
Kousetsu nodded. "Oh, I'm sorry! I didn't realize I was keeping you from your work." She said apologetically. If she had know that, she wouldn't have stuck around so long. She didn't want to get the other in trouble. She inclined her head to the other, as a way to say goodbye.

It was sad to think that things hadn’t turned out well, but she supposed that was true. If a pride stops being a pride… that kind of means something really bad happened. Still, it all lead up to the moment they were in right there, so it was a journey that needed to be taken. All steps along the way were important, good or bad. She believed that things happened for a reason. Sometimes it just took a while to figure that reason out. “Not at all! It was a pleasure talking to you! And I’d be more than happy to speak to you again whenever you’d like to, feel free to look for me! I hope you have a lovely day.” She smiled as she head off to continue her work. She loved meeting new lions- it made her feel very content with where she was living. It was stable and comfortable, yet new faces were always popping up, making it exciting too.

Kousetsu smiled at the other. She wouldn't mind running into the other either. She seemed fairly nice and stuff. "I shall try to have a splendid day, you as well!" she said with a nod. Perhaps one day soon she will end up running into the hybrid female. It started out as a strange meeting, but turned out rather pleasant to a sense.
She went on her own way, as well. She probably needed to get back to her son and mate and make sure they were adjusting well. This place wasn't as warm as where they had come from, and could take some time getting use to the change.
