What had urged this lioness to come to the prides border was actually a mistake. She had been hunting and more or less went a little too close to the prides border. Karasi knew immediately what she had done was wrong because the smells around her were filled with nothing but the smell of lionesses. It was her indicator that there was a pride nearby. No. Not nearby. Here was the pride, and she had walked right into it. She could see lionesses mulling about and Karasi instantly felt like turning around. While she had never been apart of a pride herself she had heard of one's that would attack any intruder that entered. A small shiver ran down her back. Karasi wasn't usually scared easily but when the odds were far from being in your favor? Well, she had reason to be a little afraid.
"Uh oh." She whispered to herself. The lioness slowly, cautiously, made her way over to the first lioness she saw and made herself look as little of a threat as possible. "I. . . " Karasi paused. What should she say? Did these lionesses care? "I'm sorry to intrude. What is this place?" Karasi finally settled on the easy and possibly less dangerous question. It seemed like a good idea.
