RULES1. Please remember that Gaia's Rules & Guildlines as well as Terms of Service still apply here. Please obey them. 2. Put polls in every new thread. That's why we're here. If your thread contains no poll, a moderator will add one or delete it. It's their choice. (Also please remember to post after every poll, you get more gold that way).3. Begging is not allowed but asking is. Example: 'Can somebody please donate me a bit of gold so I can complete my quest?' Though you might not get the gold you really shouldn't complain about it. 4. Lottos/Contests/Selling are allowed just don't do too many at once. I mean... If there are five up already don't start a new one. Any less then that is ok. 5. Cursing is allowed, as well as one option polls and blank posts. Flaming is only allowed if both parties understand that it is all in good humor and no one gets their feelings hurt. This guild will not turn into a civil war.6. If you want to be treated with respect, then respect everyone else. This not only goes for all mods, but members as well. Harresment of another member of the guild is NOT TOLERATED. This includes sexual harrasment, blatant flaming, and general insults. Breaking this rule THREE times will result in banishment.7. If you ever want to leave the guild, being banned that is, click the quit button. Do NOT make a thread about it, because it will be deleted. As we don't need anymore flame wars through the guild.If you have any problems with these rules, please make a post in this thread.

The "Secret" Origins of The Polling Alley.
Originally, this post was here to stop the momentary fued between Poll Central and The Polling Alley. Now it serves as a record of the origin of this guild. The following is the original post:

Lord TinDragon: I'll edit this post since it's not being used for anything else yet. Do not post about this guild in Poll Central. If you want someone to join, ask us to invite them with the invite thread.
A lot of you may be wondering why yet another poll guild exists. There's already Magical Poll Land as well as Poll Central. The individuals who started this guild were all originally members (and some of us even formor mods), of Poll Central. We felt that the guild was under poor management, and that it was falling to pieces with us being able to do little about it. Some members of PC who spoke up about the failures of management were punished for trying to help things out.
Some of us decided that we could do better by peacefully leaving PC and starting a new poll guild. Thus I present to you, under our current but may not be permenantly entitled, The Polling Alley. We view ourselves seperate from both Poll Central and Magical Poll Land, and we do not wish to conflict ourselves with either of the two.
In other words, the creation of this guild was not out of spite, but as a way of trying to work things out between the two disagreeing parties. So we would like it if we just kinda ignored the other poll guilds and concentrated more on how to make this guild better, as well as fun for you all. That is all.

With that said and done... Time to fill in some gaps.
When was this guild created? If it isn't already obvious, the guild was created on February 25, 2005.
What's with the name, The Polling Alley? Originally, the name of the guild was intended to be Polls United. As in, hey. We old members of Poll Central have decided to unite and create a better guild. Then there was some talk about how it sounded to much like Poll Central, so gin created the temporary title of "The Polling Alley" until we could come up with something better. And well... The name just stuck.
Who is this PollieAnna? Anna is Anna. A quirky girl with many secrets. If I told you anymore then that, I'd have to kill you.
Who were the original creators of the guild? It's hard to say. A bunch of us just got together on aim in a sudden rage and said "Screw it! Let's make our own dam guild!" in so many words. Amoung those were Suzaka Mizuhane, blends, Lord Tindragon, C.C., Tgsev, Dark_Kaioshin, gin, and several others. Although not all of those people are still with us today. In such little time, things have changed indeed.
And I believe that that is all that needs to be explained about the origins of the guild. I hope this little tidbit of information has proved useful for you all. *takes a bow*

A single poll can't technicly be united.
