Night's tail dropped from his perch, a tree facing the Amity gate, the school at his back and out of his vision. It wasn't odd to see the black cat in a tree, but it was odd to see him at all, especially since he had given back his distortion crystal and was well...
Struggling with his choice of being a student again.
He had seen many students, some that he thought in the same class as him graduate and leave the campus...It didn't bother him, but it made him curious...what was over the great gates in the world of grown ups, what did they even do? What would he even do?
Unfortunetely, the thoughts distracted him long enough that his perch sitting started to slip, sending him toppling to the ground and into a poor demon ghoul.
Or would've if he hadn't phased...now he kind of just....shared the space with the ghoul and looked up at her.
"Well this isn't how first meetings should go...but it's not unsurprising..." He gave the ghoul a cheeky grin from the spot where he was phasing...which apparently was her stomach. "Your stomach tell me it's hungry."

This was not how Xiu had been expecting her day to go.
As per usual, she decided to pay a visit to her friends at Amity, dropping by after a long day of cleaning up her new home and arranging her furniture. The ghoul had just finished visiting her "big brother" and had actually been on her way out when something...most unexpected dropped down on her.
The weather report said nothing about it raining cats today.
...Or cat boys, for the matter.
She had gone tumbling down at the impact, having little to no doubt that she was going to have a bruise from where her butt met the cement. Wincing, the baku ghoul propped herself up on her arms, staring up at the figure blankly for a moment before letting out a small, embarrassed laugh.
"Well, I...kind of skipped lunch today. That being said, are you okay?" She didn't think he was hurt at all from the fall since she had been there to cushion him, but she asked anyways just in case.

"I'm fine of course..." He continued to grin, pushing himself out of her stomach, which was an odd sight for anyone and rolling to sit next to her. "Skipping lunch is no good you know." His tail flicked behind him and he looked thoughtful...
A dangerous thing for a cat to do.
"Well since I you know...fell on top of you and all, want to get lunch?" He kept giving her a cheeky grin. "Names Nightengale XIII, uh I'm a very unlucky black cat ghost." He winked. "third year...you?"

...Lunch? To be fair, it wouldn't have been the first time she had had lunch with someone who was nearly a perfect stranger--acquaintance now that he had introduced himself, she supposed--but...
"Nice to meet you," She chirped, deciding to get the formalities out of the way first. There was a pause, and then she smiled wryly. "Though I think...there would have been nicer ways to meet you that didn't involve me being your landing cushion, but what can you do. My name is Xiuying--feel free to just call me Xiu--and I recently graduated from here."
The boil looked vaguely familiar, though that probably wasn't a surprise if he was a third year. She must have seen him before on campus or during school trips, but this was the first time she had actually talked to him.
And then she realized that she was still on the ground. Struggling to get up, she turned her gaze upwards at the tree that Night must have been in a minute ago, blinking at it. "What were you doing up there anyways?"
