Lilith scoffed at Merikh's words. "Well because you think you're better than me. Just because I'm mixed doesn't mean I'm weak. I'll prove it!" Reaching out she snatched up Merikh's wrist and turned on her heals propelling them both into the forest.

"And I don't really need Mama's permission. I just don't like seeing the pain on her face that Papa and Casseth's absence have caused her."

Ducking under a tree Lilith paused to look around the forest. Everything seemed newer here. She didn't recognize anything. Bitting the inside of her lip Lilith felt the wind ruffle through her hair. "Now, how do we go about luring one?"

" Hey Dragons! Bet you can't find me." Lilith shouted, unaware that she was not speaking in either known Magescian dialect.

Erionda sighed as she splashed water over her face. She had hoped to find Kilian in the clearing she was so familiar with. One that still ignited memories of passion through her mind. Wincing she sighed again, Lilith was being oddly quiet today. Turning back to look over the forest, she chose to return back to her two Hastar. The Aisko one she had claimed to ride herself while the tame Soudul hastar often reserved for her mate was now being ridden by her daughter Lilith.

"This is just a waste of time." Erionda muttered. "Lilith we best get going."

Silence was the only thing to welcome her ears.

Merikh have a soft hiss as the girl grabbed hold of him, as though burned, before he allowed the girl to follow after him, "You don't need permission? Hm, well, we will see how long it takes before you are running back to her sobbing." He said, certain that it was something that was going to happen. She got all teary earlier when she thought he was going to kill her so he couldn't see her reacting any differently if a dragon tried to kill her. No matter, he'd taken out two of those weakling Ysali not long ago, alone, with only his dagger. There was no reason he couldn't take out a third one of them, right? Especially if it meant showing her the differences between the two of them.

Turning to look over at the girl as she set to yelling out, hoping to find dragons that way. He starred at her for a long moment then started to laugh, "What are you doing?" What a crazy girl... as though yelling in some strange manner would lure dragons in. Unless it was some sort of dragon summoning spell that the mixed blood weirdos knew? If so it would be worth learning he thought to himself as he looked from side to side, holding his breath for a moment, before he sighed, "Don't know if that..."

His words trailed off when he heard a rather loud roar, as though a dragon was replying ot what the girl had been saying. It was something that had his eyebrows raising, his tongue coming out to lick his lip ring, "Huh... that might have worked." He muttered to himself.

Lilith's ears didn't pick up a roar as Merikh had. Instead she had been able to hear the tongue of dragons. "You call out to me!?" It had said. "You scrawny creature think you can challenge a great beast like me?"

Lilith held her breath as the dragon responded to her words. Swallowing as she refused to back down from where she stood. To show any form of fear. Her mother could fight these creatures, so didn't that mean she could too? A shiver ran up her spin as she heard a tree crumble in the distance. Were dragons really big enough to tear down trees? Didn't Ysali, from her understanding, use plants to attack not knock them down.

Something in the pit of her stomach rolled fearfully as she turned her head slowly towards the creatures direction. Blinking as her breath and heart quivered in her chest. Lilith could see Merikh out of the corner of her eyes. No she wasn't afraid!

"Stupid Dragon, of course I summoned you!" It was the normal language that slipped from her tongue again. A devilish grin on her face as she turned to look at Merikh. "See, just proves you don't know everyth-"

Lilith paused as a large black dragon lumbered into the visible area.

Erionda called out for Lilith several times as she prepped the hastar to move. Uassae circled about and returned with a shake of his head. "I can't find her."

The loud roar of what was unmistakably a Diabi echoed in the distance. She could hear the words it spoke as clearly as her daughter. Glancing skyward Erionda's eyes grew wide. "Lilith!" She screamed, fear hammered in her chest as she grabbed up her sword from where the Hastar was carrying it. Two large sets of wings burst from her back as she ran towards the source of the sound.

Merikh was stunned, she was actually doing it, calling in a dragon for the two of them to fight! His hand went to his side, drawing the dagger that hung there, drawing it from its sheath and stood at the ready. He was trained since he was much younger for this sort of thing, he'd bested to Ysali dragons with that training, and here he was going to get his third! At least that was his thinking before the dragon actually showed up. The way that the ground shook, how the way the trees seemed to creak and snap under the weight. He blinked a couple times, a chill going up his spine, "It feels... wrong." He murmured, turning to glance over at Lilith for a moment.

"What did you do?!" He snapped at the girl a moment before the dragon stepped into the area. Everything about it was wrong, it looked and felt nothing like the ones that he had been standing up against before. This dragon wasn't a Ysali, was it? A shiver went through him before he took a half step back, his heart thudding painfully in his chest, "Hey, weirdo... we should... probably go. Can you like... send it back?" He somehow doubted it, it was probably luck alone that she was even able to summon a dragon. If she couldn't banish it then they would likely need to run, huh? Damn it, running was the last thing he wanted to do, but a brave man knew that sometimes you had to retreat and regroup if you wanted to survive until the next fight.

Lilith gaped at Merikh's words. Send it back? To where? It lived in the forest she had even gone so far as to taunt it into showing it's face. You didn't just send it back. Wasn't he just going on about how much of a skilled warrior he was? How strong he was because he wasn't a 'wierdo' "IDIOT!" Lilith shouted, "I can't just send it back, it lives here. Didn't you just hear me taunting it to show it's stupid face!? And you expect me to Send It Back!? That's like asking a blasted bognoti to run away after it's foot is caught in a trap. Dragons are haughty creatures. Just like you. I doubt saying, 'sorry mister I was mistaken. Please go back to your sleep' is going to do anything productive here!"

Her eyes stared up at the monstrous dark dragon as it loomed over them. She couldn't run away! She had something to prove to the idiot Oblivionite, she wasn't just a weirdo. She was stronger than that. Searching the ground Lilith's eyes fell on a stone, bending down to pick it up she lopped it at the dragon.

Her face paled as the stone rolled against the dragons front leg. She had been aiming for his head. Swallowing pitifully she gave Merikh a look. "Y-yeah maybe you're right. Now's a good time to run. Purebloods first since you know weaker and all that." Lilith gave the boy a silent verbal jab with her comment, at least, that's what she was trying to do.

The dragon roared again as it lumbered forward towards the apprentices.

"I am not an idiot, you are! You're the one that called the wrong dragon here!" He snapped at her, "Of course you would mess it up." He muttered, feeling as though he shouldn't have been all that surprised that she had messed it up. At the same time it would have been nice if she hadn't made such an awful mistake as the one she'd made. Had she accidentally called in extra dragons, sure, but why did she have to call in this shadowy monster? She was just trying to get him killed he thought to himself, giving a bit of a glare before another sound from the dragon, as well as the way that it came to stand over them, dragged him away from blaming her to just starring up at the huge dragon.

Giving a little twitch he took a half step back, watching as the girl scooped up a rock and threw it. The stone did little more then probably annoy the dragon, making him smack his hand against his forehead, "A rock?! Really? You really are an idiot! Did your mother drop you on your head when..." The dragon's roar cut off his insult and he took a couple of quick steps back, "D-Damn..." He was scared and he hated the feeling, he didn't want to show fear in front of some halfbreed misfit but he couldn't help it, this dragon was way out of their league even if they could get along for a moment.

As the girl started to taunt him again, saying that since he was a pure blood that he should run first he made a face, "What?! Feh, if I ran first it would be so that it would eat you first!" He snapped, then jolted at the next roar, "Ah, screw it! I am not arguing with you about this!" He said, whirling around so that he could hurry toward the closest trees, hoping they would offer some sort of shelter, they had at least slowed the Ysali down before... though given this one had knocked over some trees on its way here who knew it hiding amongst the trees would help at all.

If felt like her heart was dropping from her chest as another roar echoed through her body. Erionda could swear she had never been so scared in her life. At least not that she could recall at the very moment. Her body springing forward, floating over fallen branches and jutting roots and rocks. Ducking under and around trees and low hanging vegetation. She was mentally reaching out towards her magic, she would need to react quickly and efficiently if she wanted to keep her daughter safe.

"I was calling for A dragon! Who knew that Diabi lived here? All I knew was this forest is full of Ysali. Just cause a Diabi chose to respond isn't my fault! You're still the idiot!" She retorted bitterly. "So there's no possible way I could have even messed it up."

Her cheeks puffed up again with another blush. "Look if you think you can do better than throwing a dagger and watching it slide off it's hide be my guest." The only way Lilith was going to keep her sanity in a situation like this is if she did what she had seen her mother do many times.

Punch it.

"I don't care what you are. You leave us alone!" She was shaking inside from the fear, but she couldn't let that be known to the Oblivionite. NO. He was calling HER an Idiot! sticking her elbows out to either side in an attempt to look bigger Lilith walked forward and swiftly kicked the Dragon. Backing away as it's eyes turned on her.

Words flew away as she looked back for Merikh's help. "Coward!" She yelled.

"Everyone knows that they live here!" He snapped, "Where else would a dark dragon live but this dark continent?!" Sure, he had no idea that they were around here, he had thought they would be much further from the big city, especially given all the guards that they had there. How could one get this close? Why would get this close? How had it survived so long?! Damn it this all felt so wrong he thought to himself, his whole body shaking as he ducked behind the tree, leaning against it, his heart thudding in his chest.

He peeked out, looking toward the girl, and then starred, eyes wide when he saw that instead of fleeing like a smart person might she was... kicking it?! He couldn't believe it, wanted to scream at her for being a complete moron! He looked around a moment then grabbed up a couple rocks off the ground and sent them flying at the dragon, hoping to give the girl a chance, "Run away you moron! I am not letting some stupid dragon get the prestige that comes along with having your hide! If anyone kills you for the Dark Lady it will be me!"

The rocks were doing nothing, either missing completely or bouncing off the dragon in a manner that would annoy it at best... stupid girl! She should have followed him! She shouldn't have just stood there trying to kick something that would eat her!

Tears pooled in her eyes as her life flashed before her. The dragon was staring at her with long thing tendrils of drool. Even her gag reflex was refusing to work at the site. Locking eyes with the dragon Lilith's mind seemed to flee from here. There was no escape she was going to die here, leaving her mother utterly alone in a heartless world. "I love you mama." Lilith whispered, starting to close her eyes half way before the sound of rocks bouncing effortlessly off the side of the dragon drew her attention.

Her head swung around to see who was throwing them. Merikh? But didn't he want her dead? It didn't matter. Shaking her head she moved just as he had said. The only possible direction her mind could think was forward, towards the very place Merikh was hiding. She couldn't think of any other place that would be safer than that other than her mothers arms.

Dashing behind Merikh Lilith trembled as the Dragon gave another heaving roar. "You're right I'm an idiot." Lilith pouted. Her heart thundering painfully in her chest. She could feel her blood flowing through her body. Tried to resist the tears threatening to jump down her skin. It's eyes were focused on Merikh now, worried for his life Lilith reached out and pulled him back be hind the tree and into a small shrub just big enough to hide both their small frames. She could hear a familiar voice call her name in the distance.

"Mama?" Lilith mouthed her eyes wide.

Erionda burst into the clearing her eyes alight with rage as her eyes settled on the Diabi. "You..." Her large feathered wings beat quickly as she tried to lift herself off the ground. A magic circle danced around her feet as she formed several sharp spikes of ice. "... if you've killed her. No, you don't have redemption of any kind!"

The spikes flew forward impaling the Diabi's shoulder, leg, neck, muzzle and eye. Landing on the ground, heaving for air Erionda's eyes searched the area for any sign of Lilith.

Merikh was dragged around the tree once more and then into some of the shrubbery, something that he doubted would go well. How long could they hide out in these bushes after all? The Diabi was going to sniff them out sooner or later and then what would they do? He looked from side to side, trying to figure out his next move... until he heard a voice calling out. It was something that was unfamiliar to him but it seemed that the girl knew, her mother? He peeked out from the bushes to get a look at the halfbreed's mother... until he saw the woman, his eyes going wide, and a jolt went through him. She... had feathery wings? A... wait... so she was a hybrid too? Dovaa and Orderite... and if her father was an Oblivionite.... just what was Lilith?! A real freak for sure.

He watched as she set to battling the Diabi, something that he'd be impressed with if she wasn't the enemy. He ducked back when teh woman was suddenly looking their way, "Great... out of the frying pan into the..." He trained off when he saw someone else, someone he knew, not that far from where the impaled Diabi was standing. His mouth dropped open, a shiver going through him, "Oh... damn... by the Dark Lady, I think I'm a dead man..."

Jerking his head to one side to look at Lilith he said, "I... should go." He said a moment before there was an explosion of magic that finished off the Diabi before a voice call out for him, that of the Oblivionite woman in the fancy, fluffy dress. Beside her, the other woman, a warrior with a massive sword on her back, remained silent but looked quite displeased with the situation on hand. The two of them, here, when he wasn't supposed to be battling dragons let alone going this far from the city, that was scarier then any dragon.

"Mama? MAMA!" Lilith gave Merikh a puzzled look at his comment. "How can you be a dead man when you're a boy and a coward." Sticking out her tongue and squeezing her eyes shut she burst out of the bushes and ran after her mother.

Erionda couldn't help the feeling of relief that washed over her as Lilith burst into the clearing. Opening her arms in a welcoming manner she was relieved when the small child wrapped her arms around her waste and buried her head in her stomach.

The relief was quickly washed away as Erionda's eyes settled on two Oblivionite women. Shifting Lilith around so her daughter was behind her Erionda squared her shoulders at them. "What do you want?" She snarled, her fingers twitched towards the hilt of her sword as she regarded them both in turn. A swordswoman like herself and a Mage? She wasn't quite sure on the second one but no matter. She could easily take them both on if it required doing so to save her daughter. The feathers falling away from her wings to leave behind smaller leather versions akin to what the dovaa had at her stage.

"You have no business he-"

"Are you Merikh's mom?" Lilith interjected peaking around her mother curiously.

Erionda twitched, Who was this Merikh? Her eyes didn't leave the females nor did their intensity decrease. She had been introduced to the world Oblivionites lived first hand when her mates father had attempted to attack her and kill her. "The orbs are mine. Get lost."

Lilith blinked twice as she regarded the three orbs laying among the dust of a fallen dragon. "Mama... I think one belongs to Merikh." Before Erionda could respond, Lilith ducked away to pick up the orbs. Trotting back to her mother to deposit the two before returning to Merikh holding out the orb for him to take.

"Just cause you're an idiot and a coward doesn't mean you didn't earn this stupid thing."

"Feh, better to retreat then flail about at a dragon like an idiot." He said, giving her a look before he watched her run forth from the bushes toward the strange woman that had first attacked and speared the Diabi as though it were nothing. It was a devastating attack and not one he would want to get caught up in... but at least his parents were here, right? They would be able to deal with that hybrid if the need for it arose he thought to himself.

Nereza looked toward Rio, starred a moment, then looked passed her, "I have no business here? Is that what you were going to say? How dare you! I should... huh? Mellony?" Turning to look over at her wife she could only stare in confusion before sighing, "Fine."

Mellony turned to look over at the woman and her child for a moment, her expression a stern and steady one, lifting a hand up to allow it to hover over the hilt of her sword, then instead of taking the weapon she held it out in front of her, holding up her index finger, "As much as it behooves me to say this, we owe you. This doesn't mean that we are going to be friends or allies, not by any stretch of the imagination. It merely means that we are going to have a singular, momentary truce." She said simply.

Turning toward the wooded area she called out, "Merikh, you will not make us wait any longer." Mellony called out, summoning for the the Oblivionite boy who gave Rio a glance before rushing passed her and into Nereza's arms, finding himself pulled behind her, as though she were protecting him from potential harm at the hands of the hybrid.

Merikh looked passed his mother when Lilith came close, looking at the orb, then reached out to take it, "Of course I earned it, I had to put up with you and your awful dragon summoning after all." He said, giving her a look, "Later, weirdo." He said a moment before his mothers started to back away from Rio and Lilith, both still on guard as they did so.
