Oura'thir are mostly natural colors (meaning colors that are found on mammals IRL) except for their eyes, which are usually a vivid hue. The fire that surrounds their eyes nearly always matches their eye color. For the body, obviously unnatural colors should cover less than 1/4 of the pet's body and should ideally be restricted to small markings, and shouldn't be too clashing. Mammalian companions follow identical rules, where owls and salamanders have fewer restrictions, but should still look like a plausible wild creature.
Markings can be unnatural in shape and color. While it is preferable that they look somewhat organic (few straight lines and geometric shapes), more geometric markings are possible, as long as they aren't symbols.
Elven clothing (ex:shirt, dress) isn't allowed as item edits, except for things like necklaces and cloaks that their keepers might put on them.
Not all pre-made edits work well together. Your colorist can help you determine which ones can be made to work and which ones can't.
We don't officially recognize cosplays. However, you can use a full custom to have your pet colored in any way you like, even in emulation of a favorite character, as long as it follows the above guidelines.
Colorists may refuse an order if they feel it is too complicated/ doesn't follow the guidelines.
Types of Customs:
Mini-Custom
Oura'thir: 45k non-growing, 70k growing (bundle through adult)
Companion: 25k (Companion pets don't grow, so this is single-stage only)
Specify the oura'thir's gender and one color and one adjective for your colorist to incorporate how they see fit.
Mini-customs are cheap, so they usually aren't very complicated.
Examples: (Female, blue, snowy) (Male, red, elegant)
Semi-Custom
Oura'thir: 90k non-growing, 140k growing (bundle through adult)
Companion: 45k (Companion pets don't grow, so this is single-stage only)
Specify the oura'thir's gender and choose up to three colors and three adjectives. If you wish, you may specify some or all of these colors as eye color or marking colors, but you may still only choose a maximum of three. You may also specify a single marking shape and location. Everything else is up to the colorist, so if you have something more specific in mind, try for a full custom instead.
Examples: (Female, blue eyes, gray stockings, and black and snowy, serene, haughty) (Male, red, orange eyes, and white stripes on his back, elegant, jovial, fierce )
Full Custom
190k non-growing, 300k growing (bundle through adult)
Companion: 90k (Companion pets don't grow, so this is single-stage only)
You have total control over your custom's appearance as long as it adheres to the guidelines above. You may purchase premade and custom edits with a full custom.
Premade items are not yet available. When we have some, they will be listed in the next post, along with their rates.
Custom edits cost a minimum of 50k for the simplest items and most minor lineart alterations. More complex edits can cost hundreds of thousands of gold, however. The price will also vary based on what the colorist feels he/she is good at. Your colorist will give you a quote; please respect their quote as final.
A colorist has the right to reject any custom order he/she feels don't hold with the shop's setting, would be too complex, or that he/she couldn't do a good job on for any reason.
You will receive at least one preview before your custom is finalized so that adjustments can be made.
Ordering your custom:
First, please check the colorists' threads to make sure that a slot for the correct type of custom is available. The colorist will have a form for you to fill out in their thread in the breeding/customs subforum.
