Confused by the land that which he had found, Manoth had found himself completely lost. Though, he wasn't sure if he wanted to be this lost. Normally he had no mind in the matter and let his feet carry him which ever way, but normally he had a general idea of where he was and could always get back to where he started. This time, however, he didn't seem to notice anything familiar.
It was slightly frustrating, but after a moment of easing his thoughts he put it behind him. It was a chance of more adventure. He carried on in the direction in front of him, but with slight caution in case he found himself into some trouble, as he did when he entered unfamiliar territory.

The God of Chivalry enjoyed wandering the rogue lands, flying around and watching the creatures below. It was a good way to recruit for the Tokakinji, and it was a nice way to meet lions and other creatures that he did not get to meet if he stayed inside the pridal lands.
He was sure the current King was glad to have him out of his mane, anyway.
Spotting one of the species he did not get to see too often below him, Talfrid tilted his head and moved to fly down closer, circling around and landing not too far away. He tried to approach others as if he were a normal lion, albeit a large, intimidating one with a strange aura and a lot of weird adornments on. But his lack of wings made needing to hide himself in a disguise less necessary.
Not that he ever hid: he always introduced himself. That was the polite thing to do.
"Hello there!" He said jovially, looking the wild dog over with interest. He spent too much time around other lions and gods: he needed to get out a bit more.

Manoth jumped as he saw the lion. He found himself staring at the lion before he could find words to speak anything at all. He was rather big and strange for a lion though, that thought flew out of his mind when he shook his head. "Sorry!" he started He shook his head again and smiled at the lion before him. "Hello!"
"Fine day, no?" He asked the overly large lion. Or what he figured was an overly large lion. He hadn't really seen one up close as of late. It'd been a while, and his memory was getting fuzzy on the matter. "Are all lions as big as you?" He asked him, his curiosity seemed to over come the rest of him and he couldn't stop himself from asking. At least he wasn't asking about the weird attire the other one had on. He'd never seen anyone dressed up before like that. Or any way really. Though, that was for a bit later to ask about it. He didn't want to come off annoying or something.
"I'm Aujigweybermanoth, but you can call me Manoth."

Talfrid watched the wild dog and smiled pleasantly. He held himself up with a royal air, but it was more than that. He was a God, of course, so there was something about him that just did not fit in this realm. That was why most Gods chose to use other forms to conceal themselves, though the wings were also a big part of that.
Some Gods really looked strange, Talfrid would admit to himself silently sometimes. Though he did not want to say that out loud, as it was unfair to those others. Who was he to judge something like how other Gods looked?
Leave that to the mortals, he supposed.
"Not all lions, no" He chuckled, his voice deep but smooth and friendly, "I am Talfrid, and I am a God. The God of Chivalry,in fact. It is nice to meet you, ah. Manoth." That seemed like an easier thing to remember, as he had not quite caught all the syllables in his full name. He smiled, stooping a bit to not seem as large.
"Do you live around here?" He wondered if there was a pack or pride that welcomed wild dogs nearby. He would be interested in visiting such a place.

More shocked than he could imagine, Manoth continued to stare as the words flowed out of the male's muzzle. At first, Manoth wasn't really sure what the other had said really. It wasn't something that he knew about fully. He heard stories on the word of gods, but never had actually seen one. So, one could imagine exactly how this was going in his mind. His heart was thumping as he was trying to fully understand and process the lion's words.
"A.... god?" It was hard to believe, though this male did seem to be odd in an aspect. Something about him was different, though Manoth couldn't put it into place. He shook his head as the other continued to talk. "N-no, I don't live around here." He looked about again remembering that he hadn't a clue where he was. Well, this day did seem to turn out rather odd.

"Ah, yes. A God. But do not be afraid. I am friendly, and I mean you no harm whatsoever, honestly. I know it is a bit much to take in at first, but I am not so different to the beings you know in your day to day life."
Besides the flying and the possible phenomenal magic powers he could possess. But if that trivial stuff was discounted, then yeah. He was just like the others, the mortals here in this world.
Close enough.
"You don't? Are you a wanderer, then? Just passing through? Looking for a new place to live, maybe? Or lost?" He tilted his head in wonder, then smiled apologetically. "I am sorry. I do not see Wild Dogs very often, in my usual home, and I am curious about where you live, and how. You can tell me to go away, if I ask too many questions."

That was strange, the last thing Manoth would expect would be a god saying they weren't so different than him, well other lions, he supposed. He heard many stories of awesome powers that gods could have, though he wasn't sure if they were true or not, though he wasn't about to start pressing questions into this poor lion's head. "Don't gods normally have wings" He asked. It was a silly question, but all the stories he had heard, they had massive wings. Surely they all did, yes?
"You could say that I am just passing through, or lost" He said with a laugh and a shake of his head. What had he gotten himself into. He pawed lightly at the ground, but didn't seem too worried on the fact he was lost. "Oh, no, don't be sorry!" He said with a nod. " I don't really see many of myself either." He said now thinking about it. The last wild dog he saw was a lovely lady, but he hadn't seen her in a few moon passing. "I suppose we're not common in this area." He chuckled. "Ask all the questions you need! I have time."

"Most Gods do," Talfrid could concede, nodding his head and offering a warm look, almost wistful. He sometimes wondered what it would be like to fly with wings, but he had powers enough to fly without them, and that was more than enough. At least he was not stuck on the ground, as he was sure a part of him, even with his domain and his generally kind and generous nature, would be jealous of those in the sky.
"I don't need wings to fly, however. I have magic that helps me to fly without them, though I have to admit, it looks far less impressive and awe inspiring than some of those with large wings."
He tilted his head when the other said he was lost. That was another good thing about being able to fly. Navigating was so much easier, when one could just fly up into the sky and use large mountains and formations on the earth as landmarks.
"Alright, if you humor my curiosity, I will help you find somewhere you know, so you're not lost any more." He chuckled, then tried to think up a good question. Now that he was on the spot, it was hard to come up with anything.
"I suppose I'm just curious in the way Wild Dogs live, compared to lions. Packs and hunting habits, and if we really are all that different in the long run."

Manoth's ears flicked forwards again as the other said he could fly without wings. Astonished, he wasn't really sure how that would work, apart from the other explaining it. He wasn't following. It made sense in a way, or rather his brain made it work. They were powerful magic involved, and he could almost swore he could feel it just illuminating the male in front of him. Of course, it could have been his own imagination, that could also be part of it. He shook his head in disagreement. "I would think flying without wings is much more impressive."
"As you are the first creature that I have ever met that could fly without having wings." He said with an awe to his voice. It would be a strange site to see, and he had wished he had seen it when the male had come into view of him. No matter, perhaps when the god was to leave he'd see it then? He smiled at the other and nodded. "I suppose I could try to humor your curiosity." He wasn't really sure what he meant on that, but all he could do was wait and see.
"Well, I can't say I am much of a pack animal, but I have known many other wild dogs that would much rather stay together." He nodded now thinking of it. He had almost joined a pack once, but had changed his mind. He got, what was it called... Cold paws on the matter. "I'm not sure how lions live, but I have seen wild dogs hunt together." He thought about it. "I, myself, tend to scavenge more than hunt. As there is only one of me, I can only do so much." he chuckled. He had, from time to time, caught a tasty hare here and there, but nothing more than that. He was a horrible hunter. Sometimes other creatures would be kind enough to share with him in his passing by, but not often.

Talfrid smiled at that, chuckling. He did not mind if he was considered impressive or not, but he was glad the other did not think he was totally boring, or anything like that. Chivalry was all well and good, but he was just as sensitive as anyone else, mortal or not. He had patience to spare, but he did not much like being laughed at.
Even if he would politely accept that opinion as it was offered to him.
He opted to humor the other, since he was being so kind as to answer his questions about wild dogs. It had to be annoying to have a lion bothering him about how he lived, what he was. It seemed very ignorant of Talfrid, and he was apologetic for knowing so very little about the species. Hopefully, this would help him. In any case, he let himself begin to hover over the ground, paws not touching the floor, as if he were being lifted by wings that could not be seen.
"It sounds like you are not too dissimilar to many lions I know, as well. I wonder why, then, some prides do not allow for all species to join ranks. I will have to discuss this with my son," he looked thoughtful. His son was the current King of the Tokakinji pride, and he did not allow anything other than lions to join. Uther was... a bit of a stick in the mud, and a hard lion to get along with, on the best day.
"I hope your scavenging is often successful, though. It seems like that would be a difficult way to live..." if there was no one hunting nearby, or nothing left behind to scavenge.

Amazed at the fact the other had started to hover with nothing at all to lift him. It was impressive, he wasn't gonna lie. He stared at the lion for a moment and then shook his head. "I wish I could do something like that. " As crazy as it sounded, but it seemed like it would be quite fun. Oh what he would do with flying around, would make movement so much easier. Though he was afraid of heights. He was sure that would be problematic as well...
"Are you ever afraid of falling?" He asked his new-found friend.
He shook his head at what he said. "Oh, it's not too bad." It did make sure he wouldn't ever be fat, however. "Some times I can go days without eating, but it could be far, far worse." Sometimes, he didn't even notice it. After the first day of not eating, it wasn't as bad. Only was painful a little while, then it seemed as if he didn't need to eat, until the food touch his lips and tongue. "I have it better off than most, I think" He said with a smile. Surely not as good off as this lion, however.

Talfrid smiled and nodded his head. He could imagine how appealing it was, the promise of flight. He, who could fly, was envious of those with wings. Those without flight or wings, then, had to dream of it. He hoped, realizing too late, that he was not simply rubbing salt in a wound, and was not seen as though he were showing off. He was just not that kind of a lion.
"No, not falling. Falling is a lot like flying, without the control. It's the landing heavily on the ground that concerns me most, but generally it is not a true concern at all. Very little aims to knock me out of the sky, and I've never fallen from an error of my own."
He did not like the idea of falling, though, and had never really considered it before. Flying was as natural to him as walking.
"Well, I'm glad you're able to take care of yourself. You seem like a very kind wild dog, and I feel like, if you do settle down somewhere, it would be their honor to have you." It was brave to face ones situation with the idea that there were others suffering worse, as many creatures could only see their own misery and had little perspective. "If you do ever need help, you can always look to the sky, and if I'm able, I'll aid you."
Talfrid was essentially a knight, sans shining armor. It was his duty to aid others, and he often liked to make sure they knew his service was available, however unlikely it seemed.

Manoth nodded as he listened to the other, more interested than jealous of the idea of flying. Very interesting as the other had no wings, it was almost not possible, in his mind. If he hadn't seen it for himself, he would have never believed it at all. He was still at awe and amazement at the other. It was crazy how something could blow one's mind with just a simple act. Or what seemed simple to the male before him.
He shrugged his shoulders a little bit as he looked at the other with a smile. He was simply himself, and nothing more. He didn't really think he was kind, or that anyone was to be honored by his presences. He could only do his best to go through life as smoothly as he needed. "Oh, right, I always forget about the sky." He chuckled. He'd lose his own head if it wasn't attached to him. "I must thank you, for that" He said with a smile. "Not many are wanting to help other's in anytime of need." He said with a chuckle.
"However, I do believe I am okay with staying lost... For the most part." He said with a nod. He looked to the sky and looked back to the male lion. "I think the sky is all the help I may need." He didn't want to turn an offer from a god, but if he didn't need it he felt silly in asking for help "Half an adventure is getting lost and finding your own paws." He said with a chuckle.

Talfrid settled on the ground lightly, sighing and digging his claws into the earth thoughtfully. He did like the ground, the grass and the mud, but flying would always hold a special place in his heart. It really did set them apart, if being a God was not enough. He smiled thoughtfully, but did his best to pay attention. He did not want to be rude by getting wrapped up in his musing.
"I'll always help another if they need me to, of that you can be sure."
He smiled reassuringly and laughed as the other said he would like to stay lost. It made sense, if he knew how to navigate by the stars or landmarks that he could recognize. Talfrid was all too happy to let him keep doing what made him happy, and what helped him to enjoy the world around him. He wouldn't force the other to take his help if he didn't actually need it.
"That's a good point. I find some of my most interesting encounters happen when I'm lost. Well! I hope you enjoy you adventure, then! And I hope good things happen on your travels."

So many questions he still wanted to ask, but it was probably best to keep them to himself for the moment. Maybe he'd run into another god that would be more than happy to answer them. If he asked one god all the stuff at once, then he wouldn't have anything to ask another if it so happened to come to one. He was glad to hear the other was happy to help those in need.
He wondered if all gods were like that. He would figure that out eventually. "Hopefully your travels go just as well." He said not really sure what gods do on their traveling, other than flying. He was sure that took a ton less time than walking. "I certainly will try to make the best of it!"
