You know, I remember this guild from a long time ago. I remember when it was the WRP Discussion guild, a place where we would just post, have fun, point out mistakes, exchange some tips and tricks and just help each other improve and become better RPers all around. That feeling of helping someone and make him a more enjoyable opponent for everyone was what motivated people to post here and just, overall, have a good time.

But this place changed in the past few years. I'm saying years because the past few days is just the climax of what's been a very long time coming. It all started a few years ago, when people started to realize that getting opportunities was just not possible anymore, The RPers were literally divided in clans. On one side, you had the one who wanted some change, and on the other, you had the instigators of the Politics Era. Well, saying it was an era is a strong word, especially considering that we didn't give a crap about that for most of that time anyway. It's just when it became impossible to live that we actually thought it was time to do something.

It was the start of what most of us know as the Bullshit Era.

Lots of discussions, lots of beef between RPers, some that quit because of that, our community hasn't been the same since the lows of that era. We lost some greats with all of this drama and I'm not just talking RP-wise, I'm talking as people. Some probably don't even wanna hear their names again, but that's their problem. THEIR. PROBLEM. AND. THEIRS. ONLY. People jumping in to add comments about what's obviously between two individuals doesn't help at all. We should know, we've been doing that for years here and look where we're at.

We've seen a s**t ton of threads bashing people and just trying to run down their style, them as a person at some point. This place is packed with negativity.

This place. Which, to me, is the common denominator to most of our problems.

And I know many think that, too! I mean, before this guild, we didn't interact with each other as much as we do now, so it had a positive impact. Too bad it backfired though... But yeah, all this to say that lately, this place has been used for one thing in particular: arguing. Yes, the bitching threads are being locked and moved. Yes, the crewmembers are trying their best to keep the bullshit to the lowest, but at the same time, it is obvious that the attempt to press on the cauldron's lid only makes the steam even hotter and when it blows up, which seems to be a matter of weeks, maybe days as we speak... I can't say it more, the attempt is really noble and well thought, but at this point, anything is just adding fuel to the fire. Even this little rant of mine will be enough to have people being like "oh I disagree, stop whining" and whatnot. Unfortunately for them, I ran out of ******** to give.

This is not anyone's fault, and I think I won't put enough emphasis on that. However, I believe the best bet to move on is to just move away from all the negativity that comes out of this place, full of our best and worst history.

I'm not here to promote any alternate guilds, but all I'm saying is that the best bet is probably to go somewhere else, where we won't be influenced by what's been said in the past in this place and where the tone will, hopefully, be more joyful.

Question about mediator: would it be better for the mediator to be crew or non-crew? I know people have said Shadow would be good for the spot.
