Miroqi was nestled in a nice spot where the roots of several trees had grown together and managed to form a large hollow. Perhaps some animal had dug it out further, or perhaps it was naturally this large... All Miro knew was it fit him well. He was able to sit and rest, getting off his leg, in a dry and wind-protected spot. He was watching Chane, currently his healer and also his friend, as Chane examined some plants he felt might be useful in healing. He knew they'd have to move on, soon, though.

He looked up as he pondered the rumor that Chane had mentioned hearing. A cave with a rare moss, or perhaps unique? One that was good for healing. Part of him was hoping it was true, another was sure it would be a disappointing myth. He sighed a little, then blinked and leaned forwards, trying to get a better look at the sky. Had he seen a shadow flying overhead? He stared at it, and then grinned. He had! And all those wings? It must be Aurianna, he was sure of it! He didn't know of any other Angeni in the area, after all.

While he wasn't trying to let Miroqi in on it, Chane needed the break just as badly as his friend did. The supposed location of the cave wasn't all that far from where they normally spent their days. Most horses would be able to make it to and from without breaking a sweat. Chane's leg wouldn't let him do that, though. Half way to the supposed spot and his leg was already aching more than it ever had in the past few years. He suspected it had more to do with the weather than the walk, but it was still slowing him down considerably.

While Miro rested he was gently pulling loose bits of bark off a willow tree to store in the pouch he'd brought with him. A few bits he was chewing himself, and he planned to give Miro a few before they left again as an excuse to take a break himself.

Euthyphro found himself once again circling an area just looking down at the scenery below. He wasn't looking for anything in particular. Just enjoying the view and musing over the glimpses of daily life he caught as he passed this or that individual going about their lives.

On the first pass, the pair of males near the old willow didn't really attract his interest. On the second pass, though, he noticed that the grey stallion seemed to be chewing at the bark of the tree. It was an odd behavior, to be sure, and one that warranted further investigation.

As gently as he was able, he made a decent planning to land near, but not between the two stallions. He was friendly, and he didn't want to raise alarm by suddenly appearing between them, after all. The thin layer of snow made a soft crunch sound as his hoofs touched down. He raised his head, "Hello!"

Miroqi was keeping half an eye on Chane, but mostly watched the circling Ageni. As the flyer began to descend, he realized that it wasn't Aurianna, and in fact it was another Stallion. Well that was a surprise! He thought of Angeni as rare indeed, so he didn't expect to see another at all. He watched the stallion land and looked at him in interest.

Like Auri, he was dark in color, and had star decorations. Beyond that, the similarities seemed to end. "Hello there! What brings you out this way in this gray and drizzly weather?" He didn't try to stand, though he normally would, because he was actually enjoying this break. He hoped his leg would heal soon...

Euthyphro didn't mind at all that his greeting was low key. Now that he was closer he could easily tell that both of the stallions seemed to be suffering from injuries which varied in age and severity. Not the pair he'd expect to get up to extend a greeting. Not on his behalf anyways.

"I was just out exploring when I noticed the two of you down here," he looked over at the grey one, "and noticed that your friend seemed to be chewing the bark? I had never seen someone eat bark before so I was curious and decided to come down and find out."

He looked back at Miro with a smile, "My name is Euthyphro, and it is a pleasure to meet both of you."

Chane, who had mistaken the crunch of the stranger landing to be the sound of bark coming off the tree, nearly replied in confusion when Miro spoke. When the newcomer answered, he nearly jumped out of his skin.

When he leaned around the tree to get a better look he still had a bit of freshly pulled bark hanging from his mouth. He tucked the bit into his pack while Euthyphro explained that he was merely curious about his behavior with the bark. Chane almost laughed in relief.

"My name is Chane, and it's pretty simple so I don't mind explaining if you have the time."

"I am Miroqi. And ahhh yes. That is a good question, why ARE you chewing that bark, Chane?" He tilted his head and looked at his friend curiously. "Is that the bark you sometimes have been bringing me to help with the healing, or another one?" He paused, and blushed some, his ears going back a little in embarresement. "I admit I really don't yet recognize the different barks and things you bring, so I haven't a clue."

He paused, then had to ask. "Out of curiousity, are you related to Aurianna?" He looked awkward. "I just... you're both Angeni, dark colored... wear stars. Maybe I'm silly, I just... have never seen another Angeni besides Aurianna. I know she has a mate who is one, but he's much brighter colored, she's said. If you're not, I understand! I... I'm just curious."

Euthyprho's ears both flopped slowly to one side, "Aurianna? Well, no. I'm afraid the name doesn't sound familiar at all. I do suppose we could be related, I wouldn't assume that we are though. What an individual wears doesn't... exactly indicate whether or not they are related. Maybe she met my mother sometime? I have known Mahdi to give out star charms on a whim."

He looked over at Chane, "And yes, I am quite curious about that bark. If it's not any trouble too you, I have just about all the time in the world to sit and listen to interesting titbits."

He glanced over at Miro, then tucked the bit of bark he'd most recently pulled off into his satchel, "Yes, it's the same bark I've been giving you. It doesn't help much with the healing, but chewing the willow's bark eases pain somewhat. I noticed the effect a few winters back after resorting to chewing on bark to get through the last month before the new grass came in..."

"Hmmm. I don't know... She has... a lot of star decorations, along with moons. Hers are garnets though. Could just be coincidence." He shrugged thoughtfully. "It's just interesting to me, the similarities, even of complete strangers." He looked thoughtful, then shrugged and nodded, before turning back to Chane.

"AHhhhhhhh I see, that's interesting. I wonder what it is about Willow that does that." He pondered getting up to get some himself, but decided he was happier remaining still... No need for any more pain really, not until they were going to move on.

Chane nodded, "Since my stores are running low back at home I just wanted to stop here and take some before we moved on... I could bring you some if you need it."

He nodded along as Chane explained his little bit about the bark and what it did. It was an interesting bit, and willows seemed to be a tree that was easy enough to recognize. He noted to himself to remember that bit of information in case it would be of use later.

When Chane spoke to his friend again Euthyprho's attention was drawn back to Miro. He'd been talking, but what did he say? Moon and star charms?

"Hmm, likely not my mother then. My father is the angeni of the moon. He wears some moon charms but I've never known him to share them with strangers. My mother only keep stars. If she received any moon charms from my father she never wears them."

Miroqi thought about it, then said, quietly, to Chane "I would appreciate it if you would. My leg is hurting more then I was hoping it would be at this point." He sighed a bit, and shifted in place.

He ponders Euthyphro's words, then shook his head thoughtfully. "Yeah I don't know. I just know she wears them, rather a lot of them." He paused, and then tilted his head. "I... think she's the... Angeni of Motherhood? If I recall right. I don't exactly have a lot of reason to talk to her about it, since I'm no parent, and even if I were, I'd never be a mother..."

Euthyphro nodded, "I see. No, she doesn't sound familiar at all. Neither of my parents have ever mentioned having relatives who carry their own titles, never mind something like motherhood. I would like to meet her some day, though. Outside of my own family I've never really encountered an angeni of anything."

He looked over at the grey horse, who was still pulling bits of bark off the tree. Presumably saving a few for Miro.

"Sorry if I'm bothering you."
