It's been several years since the events in the Rise of the Guardians movie, and Jack has fully integrated into the Guardians. However, for reasons unknown, the Man in the Moon has declared a batch of four new Guardians - each one to be taught by one of the original five. What will happen?

Can I get in on this?

Sure! Just make three profiles, and then I'll post the starter. Just remember - one apprentice per guardian and vice-versa. If you want one of your gals to be mentored by Bunny, I'm willing to switch, but Sandy's apprentice is White - has to do with part of the plot. 3nodding

Yep. Again, if you have any objections, I'm perfectly willing to swap one of them for Bunny, but otherwise that's what you have to work with.

(All right then, let's start!)

Jack rode the Wind into North's globe room, getting in through a window and landing lightly on his feet. "So, North, any particular reason you gathered us all here, or did you just want to mess with Bunny again? Not that I'm particularly objecting if it's the second option," he added with his usual cheeky smirk.
Bunny sent a heated glare to his... friend? Enemy? Frenemy, let's go with frenemy. "Very funny, mate. Seriously, though, North, what's the issue?"
"Not 'issue', good news! Man in Moon says it time for new batch of Guardians?"
Bunny's glare immediately went up to the moon. "Again? Why?"
"No know... but this time, he say they going to be apprentices!"
THAT caught the others' interest. "Apprentice as in a teacher/student sort of thing?" Jack asked, curious.
"Da! Now come, let us see who new Guardians are!" With that, five different crystals similar to the one that had chosen Jack rose up out of the floor, one in front of each of the guardians; after a moment, images appeared in the crystals.
"Huh... so I'm working with Crystal, then?" Jack mused; he'd met his fellow winter spirit in passing a few times.
"Okay, who's this bloke? He gives me the willies."
Jack glanced over. "Oh, him? I met him. Urban legend, surprisingly okay guy, if a bit morbid - generally hangs out in New York." He couldn't help but grin at his fellow Guardian's creeped-out expression at hearing the skull-masked fellow's name.
Tooth, who had been gushing over the state of her new charge's teeth, glanced over at Sandy. "Hey Sandy, is your crystal broken or something?"
Sandy shook his head even as North boomed out in his usual cheerful manner, "Nonsense, Tooth, crystals fine! Perhaps Manny could not find apprentice for Sandy?"
Sandy shrugged, not letting on to the fact that he was the only one capable of seeing the image in his crystal. Not that it really mattered - he knew the figure in it quite well and would be able to find him easily.
"All right, we all know where to find new Guardians - we go fetch them now!"
With that, four of the five Guardians left by their usual methods of travel - Wind, flight, tunnels, and sleigh respectively.
Sandy, meanwhile, was silent after the others had left, looking puzzled and thoughtful. After a moment, he shrugged, gently tossing a small amount of sand into the air; sure enough, it began being drawn to an unseen force, which he followed.

Meanwhile, over in New York, a masked male sighed softly, calmly recalling his blood back into his body. Behind him, the scared children slowly uncurled from their ball-like positions, staring in a mixture of bafflement and relief at the old man who had about to kill them, now beheaded by an unseen (to them) force. "You're welcome," Deadman Walking told the children softly, knowing they wouldn't hear him but saying it nevertheless; his voice was raspy, sounding disturbingly like a death rattle. He then walked off, pretending not to see the large, rabbit/kangaroo-shaped silhouette following him for the moment... or the two large yetis accompanying him and carrying a large sack. Eventually, he headed into a nearby back alley and spoke, seemingly to thin air. "You would be the Easter Bunny, I assume?"
Bunny froze from where he'd been moving to walk Walker out. "...Exactly how long did you know I was followin' you, mate?" he asked weakly after a moment.
"Since the beginning, along with the two Yetis you brought along for reinforcements," Walker drawled, looking rather amused when he heard one of the Yetis mutter something under its breath - some sort of Yeti curse word, no doubt. "Now, since I highly doubt you'd be trying this if you didn't want me to come with you somewhere and I get the impression that you're not going to drop it anytime soon, why don't we skip to the part where you lead me where you want me to go, and I follow?"
Bunny just nodded dumbly, wordlessly opening a tunnel and waiting for Walker to jump into it before hopping in himself, the Yetis heading back to the Pole using a snowglobe.

Meanwhile, high in the sky, a young-looking spirit dressed in light gray smiled as the dreamsand came to him; he silently began coaxing it into a visible form, a silvery light spilling from his fingertips and turning the golden sand to a matching color as it began taking a shape. After a moment, he had a small, angel-like, featureless being made of silver dreamsand. "There we go... what a pretty little Daydream," Off White murmured softly, a small smile on his face as he petted his latest creation before sending it off to join its fellows in spreading daydreams. He then blinked as a familiar golden figure approached, smiling brightly as usual and waving enthusiastically. "Hello, Uncle Sandy," White greeted with a small laugh; he'd always been rather fond of the enthusiastic little man. He blinked as the Sandman began flickering signs above his head, only his extensive experience with the man's way of talking allowing White to keep up. "I see... you do realize that I'm going to refuse, right? And that's assuming they even realize I'm there."
Sandy nodded, but indicated that it would probably be polite to at least consider it, even if the others wouldn't see the silver-haired boy; he knew how much the eternal teen loved children. He then added that it would probably be fun to see the other Guardians' faces when they found out about him, knowing that would probably at least tempt him.
Off White couldn't help but grin slightly at that. "All right, fair enough, I'll at least consider it... I'm still going to have to tell my dad, though, you know that, right?" At Sandy's nod, he nodded back, satisfied. "All right, see you back at the Pole!" With that, he vanished in a flash of silver light.
Sandy smiled happily, clapping his hands silently in excitement as he headed back to the pole. He knew that White would make a great Guardian if he accepted, and if not... well, between his lack of believers even among his fellow spirits and who his father was, that was perfectly understandable, and he wouldn't let that affect their little uncle/nephew relationship in the slightest.

Meanwhile, as the two male would-be Guardians were convinced to come to the Pole, Jack was searching snowy areas for his fellow winter spirit, letting the Wind guide him to her location.

New New Evergreen Goblin

Crystal smiled as the small family cuddled together in their house. The small kids playing with their parents. She froze this moment for them and saved it with the many moments she kept when she started. The winter spirit smiled sensing a familiar winter spirit. Giggling, she flew off in to the forest to give him a chase. She tossed some winter gusts behind her to slow him down.

Iris giggled as the couple she had been working on finally got married. She sighed before looking on her book. It showed any kids in emotional distress. She found three kids that seen an old guy about to kill them, be killed. 'Was that Deadman Walking?' she thought to herself. The spirit shouted as a red bag was thrown over her head covering her.

Gal used her powers to warm up the shaking children warming them. She smiled softly seeing them stop shaking and start to play with each other warming up more. Soon the whole orphanage was lively and it attracted people interested in the kids. Gal grunted as a red bag got her and she found herself next to Iris. The two blinked at each other before trying to get out. Gal was silent as she tried to light a fire in the bag as Iris kicked out.

Jack grinned, shooting off after her and dodging the gusts she sent after him, weaving through the trees. They did this every time they met - their own little personal greet-and-play, in a way.

Meanwhile, the two Guardians-to-be were brought through a snowglobe portal to the North Pole, the yetis opening the struggling bags and depositing the girls in front of them, much to the others' amusement.
Tooth gave North an exasperated look, hands on her hips. "Really, North? The Yeti Sack approach again?"
"But of course! It work with Jack, no?" North pointed out gleefully, missing Bunny's amused look as he remembered that particular incident and Sandman's little sand-symbols trying to indicate apology to the two girls. Walker just watched the girls, scythe over his shoulder and mask making his expression impossible to see.
Off White, meanwhile, appeared in the windowsill in the smallest flash of light (not that anyone could see him), watching and listening to all that was going on.

((I'm going to have Iris be able to see Off White.))

Crystal giggled before stopping suddenly letting Jack catch up, "So Jack why'd you come look for me? Need to plan another freezing Easter?" She asked thinking about the frozen eggs and some of the kids joy at trying to find them with the challenge of the snow.

Gal sat up frowning looking around. Though Iris got up happily and was looking around excited. She then say someone that she had wanted to apologize. Sheepishly, the pink haired spirit walked over to Off White. "You may not know me." She started to say. No one could see Off White but Iris and Sandman so it was awkward seeing her start to talk to nothing. "But I have got to say sorry and thank you. I use your daydream sand to get the adults and teens thinking about their significant other. Sometimes it helps them remember to think about them or if their birthday or anniversary is coming up." Iris said smiling opening a pouch and some daydream sand that turned pink moved back to Off White turning back silvery light. "Thanks for letting me use it." She said kissing his cheek. With her powers, she let the others temporarily see him. It was like a flash.

(Well, I honestly wasn't planning on introducing him to the others quite this early, but I can work with this. 3nodding )

Jack Frost chuckled. "Tempting, but not this time; getting Bunny all riled up like that was fun, though," he answered with his usual grin. "How can I put this... you remember how I mentioned last time we met up that I was a Guardian now?" His grin widened, faking nonchalance as he began casually twirling his staff. "Well, apparently Manny decided that we need a new batch - guess who's one of the lucky ducks?" Of course, the mischievous gleam of laughter in his eye as he watched her made it fairly obvious exactly who he was talking about.

Off White was a little wide-eyed and flabbergasted at finding out someone else could see him, but that was nothing compared to the other Guardians' startlement, even if they did only see the young man for a brief instant. "Is someone there?" Tooth asked, puzzled.
Bunny, on the other hand, immediately assumed it was a spy of some sort, throwing a boomerang at the spirit... and therefore became surprised when Sandy immediately used a dreamsand whip to yank it off-course. "What gives, Sandy?!?"
Sandy immediately made a dreamsand arrow, pointing to the "broken" crystal.
North blinked, stroking his beard and looking between the crystal and the , before understanding dawned. "Ah... is Sandy's Apprentice?" At the nod he got, he beamed enthusiastically up at the invisible spirit. "Well then, no need to be shy! Come down, introduce yourself! No need to hide!"
Of course, the only reply he got was a silver, crossed-out image of the globe in the center of the room, shortly followed by a similarly crossed-out image of an eye as Off White gave the jolly old man a pitying smile.
Bunny blinked, looking baffled and still rather wary. "Great, another Charades player... what's the bloke trying to tell us? Something about... no belief, no sight? Well, crikey, of course kids can't see yah if they don't believe in yah, that's just common knowledge!" Naturally, that bit of insensitive misinterpretation got him whacked upside the head by a silver hand, resulting in him zoning out as silver daydream eggs appeared above his head. This was shortly followed by a whack by a golden hand, resulting in Bunny losing consciousness altogether as the eggs above his head turned gold and were joined by carrots.
Sandy gave his fellow Guardians an irritated look as they completely missed the point of White's brief explanation... well, bar Walker, at least, since he seemed to be looking rather thoughtful (or at least as thoughtful as a guy in a full face mask could look); really, when a mute made of sand and the guy who was apparently a walking corpse had more common sense than you did, that was a fairly good indicator that you needed to get out more often.

Crystal sighed before saying, "Jack, I don't really want to be a guardian. I get why we have them and I respect them but really? I don't think being a guardian is for me." She said

Iris smiled at the wide-eye look she got from Off White. "It is easy to believe in daydreams when I do what I do. Emotions are the most unbelievable thing." She said to him. Gal smiled at that before taking a detor to see Santa's work shop. She had always wanted to see this. She took a plate of cookies smiling seeing the wonderment of the place.

Jack nodded slowly in understanding. "All right, I can respect that... any particular reason why, though?" he asked.

Off White couldn't help but smile slightly, giving Iris a nod. Then, getting tired of the Guardians not seeing him, he promptly chucked a ball of daydream sand (or as he preferred to call it, Dreamsilver) at North and Tooth, sending them daydreams of a boy who was born in the light of a solar eclipse and molded Daydreams of all sorts of different shapes and sizes.
Catching on to what White was doing, Sandy did the same with Bunny, sending him a quick dream of the day - er, night - that Sanderson Mansnoozie first met Off White...

Flashback Time!

Sandy was doing his usual rounds, sending out dreams to the children of the world, when he suddenly felt one of his streams of dreamsand drift off-course. Frowning slightly, he gently tugged the stream back on-course, only to feel it drift away again, a little more sharply this time. Puzzled, he drifted on his cloud of dreamsand, following the stream...
Only to find an unseen force converting his golden sand to silver, making all sorts of cheerful little shapes with it. Only problem was, the shapes looked like they came out of a child's drawing, and they didn't seem to have any life to them.
Curious, Sandy wandered closer, only to see whatever was molding the silver sand freeze in place. Almost immediately, it converted a little more dreamsand, forming it into a ball and chucking it at the Sandman. Almost immediately, the Sandman found himself drifting in a pleasant haze, dreaming of a world of happy children... and then immediately shook himself out of it just in time to see the unseen force scurry away with its rudimentary creations, hiding in a nearby back alley.
Pursing his lips, Sandy considered this phenomenon for a moment; obviously, the whatever-it-was didn't mean any harm - it just wanted to make things with Sandy's dreamsand. He then thought of that pleasant haze the being had put him in - obviously a daydream. He then extended that thought, following it to its natural conclusion.
Obivously, something was using his sand to make daydreams.
This something just as obviously was not malicious, meaning it probably wasn't Pitch's handiwork.
It was just as obviously not the Man in the Moon's work, or his old friend would've told him, or he would've encountered it before now.
It certainly wasn't mortal either.
That left two possibilities: either his sand was getting a mind of its own, or a spirit of some sort was manipulating it.
The more the Sandman thought, the more likely it seemed to him that it was the second option; after all, he was in charge of good dreams, Pitch caused nightmares - why not a spirit for daydreams, for what are they but waking dreams?
The moment he decided that, the being hiding in the alley became clear to him - a silver-haired toddler, staring wide-eyed at the Sandman and clutching his creations to him protectively.
After Sandy got over the shock of seeing another spirit seemingly appear out of thin air, he smiled gently at the little boy before conjuring up a pegasus made of dreamsand, allowing it approach the small spirit.
The silver-haired boy's eyes became wide, and he couldn't help but giggle softly as the pegasus nudged him playfully. He then blinked and glanced at Sandy with wide eyes. "Y-You can see me?" At Sandy's nod, he relaxed somewhat, though he still seemed a little wary and was still clutching his creations. "So... you'we not mad at me fow taking youw sand?" At Sandy's shake of the head and encouraging smile, the boy relaxed fully. "It's just... you always make such pwetty things, and I already twied with my own sand... but mine wewen't as good as youws, so I thought maybe if I used some of youw sand instead, it would wuhk betta," he mumbled; to demonstrate, he conjured a small amount of silver sand and tried to mould it into a pegasus like Sandy's, but it once again wasn't very good and didn't come to life, and the little boy ended up having to stare longingly at the golden pegasus urging him to play.
Sandy pursed his lips, considering the problem a moment; it certainly explained why he sometimes found himself recalling a little less dreamsand than he'd sent out, though before now he'd put that down to him miscounting the amount. After another moment of thinking, he brightened, using his unique method of talking to communicate a series of symbols and gestures excitedly.
Fortunately, the boy seemed to get the general idea, because he brightened. "You'll teach me?" At Sandy's nod, he beamed, glomping the small man. "Thankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyou!" Then the spirit-toddler blinked, and then blushed as he realized he'd quite literally knocked the Sandman over, going back to being shy, though the smile remained on his face. "I'm Off... Off White."

Flashback End

Walker, meanwhile, similarly began wandering around, though it was more to have something to do while three of the four present guardians were K.O.'ed than out of any real interest in the place.

(Note: Yes, Sanderson Mansnoozie really is the Sandman's name - from what I found out when reading fanfics, the movie is based off a book series called The Guardians of Childhood. On a similar note, Tooth's name is Toothiana, the Man in the Moon is Tsar Lunar, Santa is Nicholas St. North, Pitch Black used to be an alien general named Kozmotis Pitchiner, and Bunny's official species is a Pooka. 3nodding )

((Pooka? It sounds like my old favorite cartoon with this little girl chasing after a ninja named Garu. Pucca ))

Crystal looked at Jack, "It's how you told me when you first joined them. They don't interact with kids any more. They have so many jobs and responsibilities as guardians that they don't focus on their subjects: Kids." She said

Iris smiled before using some of the sand and it turned pink. She tossed it at Tooth, Santa and Bunny. Now they could see how their friendship means to them. She made sure to recall the sand smiling. Gal saw Walker and walked over to him. Her red hair swung behind her. "It is nice to meet you. I'm Gal. I am a warm season spirit." She said
