((This RP includes: Roniel Targaryen's Soquili: Daenerys Targaryen, Viserys Targaryen Tefla's Soquili: Illyria Nisshou H's Soquili: Roarke)) Dany could barely believe her eyes. There Viserys stood with a shining pelt that looked like it had just been groomed. "Maybe it was," she thought. "He always was good at getting the affection of humans." He looked drastically different from the last time she saw him. He had been dirty and ragged then, something he hated. His discomfort had probably been what had caused him to finally snap and viciously attack her and Nicoletta in the desert. Daenerys had fled with her friend and never expected to see her brother again after that. Apparently fate had other ideas.
What could she possibly say to him now? As emotionally and physically exhausted as she was, Dany could think of nothing. She had just witnessed the death of an usdia mare, and then the miscarriage of one of her followers. How could the gods have been so cruel as to send Viserys to her now, after how much she had already suffered in one night?
Though she had no words, Viserys never was one to hold his tongue, as he was about to remind her.

"Covered in blood in the middle of nowhere. You really are lucky I found you, sister." Unlike Daenerys, who'd nearly died in the desert after their parting, Viserys had suffered little discomfort on the rest of his journey back to fertile land. He found a traveling band of soquili the day after he left Daenerys, and while they hadn't always been pleased with his company, they had been too charitable to abandon him. They led him to the edge of the desert and left him there, alone in a new land, but not in any sort of immediate danger. Viserys had been wandering on his own ever since. He'd discovered that the soquili in this land knew little of royalty, much to his aggravation. Viserys probably would have never found his sister again if it hadn't been for a stray bit of gossip he heard about a kirin-kalona cross with pet dragons. He decided that this mysterious mare had to be his sister and soon after decided that he would find her. His vicious mood in the desert had passed and he decided that he wanted his sister's company again. Daenerys had been his one constant companion since foalhood and he had a sense of possessive interest over her, if nothing else. Besides... she needed him. Seeing her looking so pathetic and bedraggled only proved that in Viserys' mind.

Belatedly Daenerys realized what she must look like to her brother. She hadn't had time to clean herself and was still covered in blood from the dying usdia. By now it had dried in a red-brown crust that covered much of her lower legs and the underside of her belly. Standing next to the well-groomed Viserys, Dany felt dirty and small.
"I see you survived," she said quietly, uncertain of the strength of her voice. "I'm... glad." She had grown so much since she left him behind. She led a herd now and was respected for reasons other than her birth. How was it that she felt diminished to an intimidated filly now that Viserys was here again? She was so full of pain and misery that she couldn't summon the strength to defy him. She didn't want to get into another fight with her brother, not tonight after all the death. She could have easily summoned Roarke to chase him off, but she couldn't bring herself to do even that. Roarke was mourning right now. He needed his rest as much as she did.

"Of course I survived." Viserys looked at his sister like she had grown a third eyeball. It wasn't like it had been hard to get out of the desert, and this new land was easy to live off of. The locals were so friendly that he could have joined a dozen herds if he had chosen to. Of course, he didn't want to join a herd. He wanted to rule one.
"Where's the rest of your herd?" he asked imperiously. "I know it's not you out here all alone, unless they just left you."

Dany grit her teeth. It was a good thing that her dragons were aloft currently. Drogon might have tried to take a bite out of Viserys if he had been present and they had doubled in size from the hatchlings that Viserys had known. "The herd is just over that rise." She nodded in their direction. "Why don't we go to them, so we can get settled in for the night? It is rather late for introductions."
Delaying dealing with Viserys until the morning was the best option. She barely had the emotional strength right now to talk to him, let alone try to reason with him. It had been so easier to forget about him and think of him as a distant memory....

"Very well," conceded Viserys. "Take me to this herd of yours." It didn't occur to him at all that Daenerys might actually be leading the herd, not just being a part of it. Together they returned to the khalasar. There was no one awake who bothered to question Viserys' presence. It was a bigger group than Viserys had expected and with a large variety of breeds too. "What exactly has Dany been up to?" he wondered, a question that would have to wait until morning. ~~~~~~~~~~~~

"So let me get this straight," said Viserys, looking back at the khalasar behind them. Morning had dawned uneventfully and they had moved onward. Apparently there was some sort of skinwalker in the area that they were all running away from. Viserys hadn't heard the full story, but he knew a retreat when he saw one.
"Your idea is that we're going to take back our homeland with a group of mares and miniatures?" He shook his head derisively at the thought. "How many warriors do you even have? Two?"

"Three," replied Daenerys tightly. "We have three warriors." It was still a small number, but she wasn't going to let Viserys ignore one of her queensguard. She had managed to find some time to clean the blood off of herself, but the cloud hanging over her khalasar would be much more difficult to cleanse. They moved listlessly, even though danger might still be lurking. She would have pushed them faster had it not been for poor Mi Ren Ko. The mare was obviously still weak and heartsick and Dany didn't have the stomach to try to force her faster at a time like this.
Viserys had behaved well enough during the initial introduction. He hadn't started being difficult again until they were on the road. Somehow it seemed like he always waited until they were out of earshot of the others to take his digs at her. "He is family," she reminded herself. "He is the last family I have and blood of the dragon... even if he behaves more like a snake."

"Three warriors. My mistake. Three warriors will certainly make the armies of the Usurper shake in their armor." Viserys laughed at his own joke, because what could it be other than a joke? Here was his sister, styling herself as a Queen when she only had ten subjects to her name.

"Every army must begin somewhere." Daenerys tried to keep her temper through Viserys' barbs. "Even if it only starts with three." She might be a young mare who knew little of war, but she knew more than Viserys assumed. She was quite aware that they weren't going to be winning any wars with their current force. They might not even be able to win a fight against another herd right now.
She had certainly started with the intention of building an army, but that wasn't what her khalasar had become. She didn't welcome new followers because she thought they might help her win back her kingdom, she-
And of course, Viserys had more to say.

Viserys could hardly believe what he was hearing. She had to be delusional. There was no other explanation. She sounded like she actually believed the nonsense that she was spouting about how armies grew from small numbers and such.
Now Viserys had his own ideas about how to get them an army. He'd heard stories about a massive kalona herd invading the region. The Targaryens had kalona blood themselves, so kalonas would be a natural ally. Of course, they didn't tend to be the easiest race to deal with, but Viserys had ideas there too. Daenerys would make a lovely mate for a leader's son, or maybe even a spare for the leader himself.
"Just leave this bunch of useless nags behind and come with me," he cajoled her. "I'll find us an army to make the Usurper tremble."

"... Useless nags?" She was used to his barbs against her, but this was an insult she couldn't tolerate. He insulted her khalasar now, a group of soquili that trusted her enough to put themselves under her protection. Daenerys bared her teeth, showing the sharp fangs that she rarely exposed.
"If you dare to insult them again, I'll have those 'useless nags' throw you alone into the wilderness!" Three was a small number, but three could easily overpower one. "They are not an army, but they are my khalasar! I would much rather cherish them than go chasing after a homeland that we may never see again." There it was, the thought that Viserys had cut off before. She no longer was certain that she ever would have the power to take Westeros back... but that in no way devalued what she had in the Kawani lands.

They had been walking as they spoke, but Viserys stopped still in his tracks. Dany had just... threatened him? He took a breath to shout something back at her, maybe bite her a little too... then he took a look over his shoulder. The so-called "commander" of her queensguard wasn't too far behind. He was big too, bigger than Viserys. Viserys glanced back at Dany. She was still walking, not even looking back to see how he might respond. Anger boiled up within him, but something else too. For the first time in his life, Viserys felt intimidated by his little sister... ~~~~~~~~~~~~

Several days passed. Viserys avoided Daenerys after their conversation and she seemed glad to do the same. Things had changed between them, things that Viserys didn't quite understand yet. He was still determined that he'd be able to set Dany straight, but it was going to be no easy task.
He found her other followers much more agreeable. They generally treated him with respect, even if not with the deference that he would have enjoyed. He couldn't stand the mopey mother or her burly mate, but the others were better. There was one that he hadn't had a chance to talk much to yet, a mare of particular beauty and grace. He understood that her name was Illyria and that she was some sort of foreigner, but that was all he knew. Deciding that it was time to get to know her a little better (And maybe get to know her a lot better later if things went well.), he strode over to her one evening after the herd had stopped to rest.
"Illyria, isn't it?" he said as a greeting.

Illyria had not regretted taking up Daenerys's offer to join her Khalasar. Except for the small blip of coming across a victim of what was deemed a skinwalker attack and the unfortunate result to another member Illyria had found herself in pleasant company. Life wasn't perfect though. She knew and felt in her heart that someone could easily locate her but the idea of constantly being on the move helped to ease some of her fears. The other blip that she refused to really pay attention to was the introduction that Daenerys had given the Khalasar a few days prior. Apparently her brother had finally come home, so to speak. At first Illyria was sure that the Khaleesi was happy to have her older sibling around but as the days passed she could see that Daenerys was becoming more and more irritated with this Viserys. Illyria felt that it wasn't her place to say anything that could compound the situation. However, she felt like Viserys should have been made not welcome. --- The herd had stopped for the evening and Illyria was minding her own business and finding a suitable place to graze when she heard the sound of Viserys's voice. He had approached her rather silently and she ruffled her wings to cover her irritation. "That is correct. I am Illyria. Can I help you with something Viserys? If not I kindly request that you step away from me."
