 Parvaneh stared out the windows of the shop. Behind her the normal bustle continued on as she sighed and stretched. She wished winter would end and spring would hurry up and get here. It was far to cold to go outside, and she missed the sunshine and the scent of flowers. Her wings slowly opened and closed as she traced a pattern on the pillow out of boredom.
She wished something would happen, anything really...she was flexible.

Snow, snow, snow! That's all Tequila could think about as she gleefully hopped around outside. Despite the far too cold temperatures she felt warmer than normal. Her cheeks and nose were darker than normal from the blood rushing to keep her body warm. Of course, the drink she had earlier helped a bit too.
Shoving her face deep into the snow she quickly retracts with a huge mouthful full. It was like eating a snow cone, without the syrup of course! She loved days like this, where it was cold and snowy. The snow did come up to the middle of her chest but hey, she could still move. As fast as she could she scooted around the yard, trying to re-find her way to be closer to the entrance of the shop.

Something caught the little butterfly's attention as she quickly turned over the pillow she'd accidentally poked a hole in with all her tracing. She rubbed at the window clearing the layer of condensation and looked around. What was it? Someone's familiar? No too big.
Parvaneh tilted her head and then gasped as she realized it was a female. What on earth was she doing outside in this weather without even a jacket on! She jumped off the window seat and rushed over to the door sliding a bit on the floor. She flung open the door and rushed out into the snow, trying to keep her wings from touching it. "Hey! Hey!" she called out managing to catch a hold of the female, the faint scent of booze made her nose wrinkle, and she stumbled as she put the other females arm around her, as the other out weighed her a bit. "Come on let's get you inside and warmed up." she said gently directing the other female towards the door of the shop already picking out a nice spot by the fireplace for her.

"W-whoa!" She felt a sudden tug at her arm. She wasn't expecting that, was she in trouble for something? Being pulled along inside they come to a stop at the fireplace. She certainly hadn't had enough to drink for this, she wasn't hallucinating was she? Oh well, I guess fun time was up. Her paw pads were starting to get cold. She moved her arm off of the other and walked by herself near the fireplace. After sitting down she finally looked at the one who pulled her away. In contemplation Tequila gave the smaller white female a good look. Was it concern? Am I in trouble? Could...Wait... Whoa she's so...TINY! Despite the fact that the other female wasn't that much smaller than herself. After the fierce look she sat up quickly and grinned boldly at the female, her eyes sparking; ignoring the gentle throbbing pain on her feet from the cold. "You are so adorable!"
Admittedly, she sometimes has to say what she's thinking.

As soon as she'd gotten the other female settled, Parvaneh had began bustling about muttering to herself. "Should I...no..." she moved towards the kitchen then suddenly darted back as her wings flicked and she returned to her original position. "I just...erm..." she moved to look at the other's paws making sure there was no sign of frostbite and then noticed the look on her rescue.
"Ah..." she blinked her wings moving in unison with the gesture, before she squeaked and blushed. "Thank you..." she ducked her head and looked up into the other's strange eyes. They were a bit strange, but in a comforting way. They reminded her of pink daises. "But...umm...maybe I should check your paws for frostbite? I'm not sure how far you walked, and you were kind of stumbling or something? I'm sorry if you weren't in trouble, but from in here it looked like you might be." she looked down at her own paws and "washed" them, occasionally peeping up, her cheeks bright pink in embarrassment.

 Watching the smaller female happily, Tequila started to grin brighter the more the one fussed and moved around. She was clearly thinking about something! What she wasn't expecting was the sudden tug on her paws. Surprised she watched as the butterfly checked her paws. "Frostbite?" She pondered for a moment. Oh, she must have been concerned when I was outside! The drink was wearing off a bit. "Trouble? Oh nahh. I was having fun! The drink I had warmed me up enough." She giggled and watched the other groom her paws carefully. "How elegant!" Oh shoot, did she say that out loud? Oh well! "My name is Tequila, what's yours?" Studying the other, she examined the feelers on her head. Hmm... I wonder if those actually work. When she looked back down she realized the other was staring at her, Tequila flushed slightly, unused to the attention and quickly looked at her feet, pretending to check for frostbite.

Parvaneh clucked her tongue. "That's not a real warm...alcohol thins the blood, makes you more likely to freeze your toesies off!" she then shivered. "Can't imagine liking it out there. Far to cold!"
She then stopped in her tracks at the random compliment again. "No, no, no, not really! I can be quite the hellion when I put my mind to it!" she said holding up her paws to discourage further notions. "Just not right now! When spring comes around, I'll be out there tearing it up with everyone else!" she smiled and giggled a bit. "It's very nice to meet you Tequila. My name is Parvaneh." she said bobbing her head.

Tequila frowned. Not a real warm? Whaaat. But she felt so great. Oh well. The snow was too fun to pass up. At least she got to go out for a while.
"Spring is neat. I love digging up dying plants." Tequila looked very proud of herself at that bizarre phrase. Her hobby was indeed digging holes. Pausing she looked at her wings. "Oh oh. You mean like flying? For tearing it up I mean. I've never seen another with wings like yours. They look super delicate, like glass! Can you actually fly with them?" She glanced excited at Parvaneh, expecting to see a small demonstration. She was envious. She had always wanted wings but was never born with them.
"Ah. Whoa. Cool name! I named myself. Never had parents, one day I saw a bottle with the word Tequila on it and I decided to name myself that." She smiled, excited. She was proud of her name.

Her wings fluttered a bit. "Oh! does that mean you like to garden? That's what I do when the weather finally gets warm, I'll work on my flower beds and my herb garden, and the weather will be warm so I can sit outside and read." realizes this is all very tame comparatively. "Okay so maybe not tearing it per se..but I'll be outside a lot?"
She looked back at her wings and then back at Tequila. She nodded. "Yes, I can fly." she looked around making sure no one else was watching then quickly flapped her wings beginning to hover off the ground. She then darted up to the rafters of the shop and then landed again. "They're a lot hardier than they look. I just can't fly when it's raining, or when they're wet. So no swimming for me."
She nodded and took that in. "That's...an interesting way to pick one's name." she shuffled. "My name just means "butterfly" in Persian. Not very creative."

"Garden? Hmm... Nah, I just dig holes." She giggled, what a silly question. After listening to what she said she realized she was staring, in a trance. "Ah, that really suits you. That you garden."
Quickly realizing she was going to get shown flying Tequila stood up quickly. "Waaah so cool! It's like glass that you can use!" She was thoroughly impressed she started swooshing her tail back and forth. She started hopping around back and forth.
"How long have you lived here?" She said between breaths and she hopped in circles around Parvaneh. "I want to show you my favorite spot in the shop." She continued to hop around her new friend. Or at least, she decided that Parvaneh was her friend.

"What do you dig the holes for then?" she tilted her head and blinked. She really couldn't see a reason to dig holes if you weren't going to do something with them. Plant something, bury something, plant something...there were really only so many things you could do with a hole. She was starting to realize that Tequila was...a touch odd. Not necessarily in a bad way, just in a very odd way. It was sort of endearing.
She giggled and flicked her wings. Again there was that odd cropping up. Parvaneh had a hard time thinking of glass that wasn't useful, even when it was being decorative it was still serving a purpose. Instead of commenting on it she just smiled and nodded. "Something like that."
As she watched the other female bounce around her she had to eventually stop turning with her as she started to feel dizzy. "Uh, a few months, but to be honest I don't come here often."

She stopped hopping to stare at the small female curiously. "You don't? Where do you live?" She thought for a moment about the hole question. "Oh, yeah, I dig holes for fun! I just dig!" She grinned and patted the butterfly on her head carefully, taking extra precautions to avoid her feelers.
"Come with me, I want to show you my spot!" She quickly and gently took Parvaneh's paw and pulled her towards a small corner of the shop. Stopping in front of a large orange beanbag she grins. "My favorite color is orange!" Next to the bean bag there was a water cup, a dried flower, and a half chewed sock. "This is where I stay!" She sounded pleased with herself at her tiny collection. She didn't make any money so she couldn't afford anything better.

Parvaneh followed the other female over to the brightly colored beanbag chair and her odd assortment of possessions. She did like the color on the bag, but then again she liked all bright colors. "Well, I have a cottage just outside of town" she eyed the items around the chair and bit her lower lip. "So...you live here?" she asked wings flicking in concern. It wasn't a condemnation, she just didn't like the idea of her new friend not having her own home. "What do you do when you want a bath? Or some private time? Even late at night I hear this place can be kind of busy..."
She looked over at Tequila, "I mean, I'm not judging or anything, but do you like living here amid well everything?" she asked with big wide eyes.

"A cottage? Cool! I've never seen one in real life before." Her tail squishes rapidly from side to side in excitement before pondering what the smaller female said next. "Hmm, yeah guess I do live here. Oh but I never need private time. I love seeing everyone! Hmm for baths, I mostly clean myself but if I need a real one I'll ask around for others to let me borrow theirs. I give them flowers as payment!"
She grinned and showed Parvaneh her paw. Her claws were showing, but were mostly chipped away, dirty, and clearly worn down from digging holes and gathering flowers. Even in the winter, she'd go travel to various greenhouses to continue her trend. The snow didn't clean out the dark dirt stains that remained near her claws.
"I didn't know I could live anywhere else actually. Nobody wants to pay me, they say I get too excited. Pfft." She took her own paw back to tug at her hair a bit. "Because there are so many others around I never get lonely." She said halfheartedly. Parvaneh was actually the first noodle she talked to on her own.

Parvaneh considered that. While she liked being out and about and making friends and all, there was definitely a time when she wanted to scream if anyone else wanted to talk to her for one more second. "I guess you're more of a social butterfly than I am." she giggled.
She leaned in and peered at Tequila's claws. "I'm sure my paws would look just the same, but I wear gloves when I do my gardening." her wings flicked. "You do green house work? I have two greenhouses on my property actually. I sell flowers to florists during the winter and do most of my business in the spring, summer and fall selling to nurseries."
She paused her tail flicking back and forth. "Maybe you'd like to come see my house sometime?" she poked two fingers together pushing them together. "And maybe if you liked it you could come work for me? I could pay you, not much but some. And you could stay in the second bedroom? Until you found somewhere of your own? I know we just met, but I think everyone needs a place where they can close the door and just forget about the world for awhile."
