Mellony gave a nod as she watched her son move, doing well thus far but he was still far from being a dragon slayer. Still, she didn't worry, not in the least bit, feeling that he would take them out given time, "You are doing well, Merikh, you managed to draw first blood. That doesn't mean that you can rest on your laurels though. You need to keep fighting or else you will never get the orbs that the two of them hold. Without those how will you prove yourself to our esteemed leader, Draco, or more importantly the Dark Lady Soudana? Push harder, Merikh!" Soudana had blessed the boy long ago, of that Mellony was certain. As such he needed to prove himself worthy of gift of life that she had bestowed on the boy.
Merikh didn't turn away from the battle, instead merely nodding his head as the battle continued on. The dragons continued to snap at him, their bites giving a lot closer now, making him feel as though his first strike against them might have really annoyed the one that he'd hit. It was worth it though, it meant that he was doing well... though not well enough by any stretch of the imagination. If he wanted to show himself worthy of those that his mother had mentioned the he would need to become far more then just a mere apprentice. One of the dragons snapped down at him again and he felt it's teeth crash down far too close for his comfort, it's teeth actually catching on his sleeve, tearing into it.
The boy froze in place when that happened, lifting his hand to touch the torn sleeve, before he gave a hissing sound, "Augh! You worthless reptile, that was my favorite shirt! My Mom made it for me!" He snarled, his temper rising. Nereza was a good mom, one that had gone through a lot of trouble to make him this nice shirt and this damn dragon had messed it up! He gave another hiss, taking a step forward toward dragon, ready to try to stab the life out of it... when he heard his mother clearing her throat.
"Focus, Merikh, you won't get anywhere if you get hot headed and let yourself get drawn into a battle that isn't on your terms." Mellony said, giving her son a careful glanced, glad to see that the dragon hadn't really done that much in the way of physical damage. It had just ruined what he was wearing which riled up her boy. That she would allow, she wouldn't allow the dragon to harm him though, she was certain that Nereza would have her hide for it. If there was anyone that she was really afraid of in the world it was her petite little wife. Not a person that she wanted to mess with for sure, "Take a step back if you need, take a breath, and prepare yourself for the next attack, got it?"
Merikh nodded, fiddling his sleeve for a moment more before he stepped back, forcing himself to take in a deep breath, to get himself back into order, and to face the beasts in front of him once more. As angry as he was about the dragons messing up his clothing he should think about more important things, huh? The fact that he had felt their teeth graze against his arm for instance. That had been a mix of frightening and exhilarating for certain, something he didn't want to chance again. He prepared himself, this time dodging out of the way of the next attack, feeling as though he were back in sync again. Once he got home he could always ask his mom if there was anyway to fix his ruined clothing. For now though he had to focus on the dragons before he got himself harmed for real.
"Alright, come on then, let's do this." He murmured, his hand tightening on the decorative weapon that he was holding in his hand. Time to prepare for round three he told himself as he waited for the dragons next move.
