~ The Hound ~

Name: Keban
Gender: Male
Primary Element: Air (he says its invisible so all secret like)
Font color:
SiennaCert:
XPersonality: Cunning, secretive, conceited... a total troll even. He likes to sneak around in what he thinks is "unnoticed" and pounce on unsuspecting "victims". Sadly this tactic never works on Verus as she giggles and snuggles into him and this frustrates him. One day he says... One day he will succeed (it'll never happen). Until then all that pent up frustration, is taken out on Demon. It's a good outlet for it he thinks.

It was cold again, the bitterness of the air seemed to bite at the very skin of Verus as she walked down the street having left the usual artist that paid her for her service to him. Sometimes it left her unnerved, particularly the ones that wanted her nude to paint their portraits but she did it anyway. It didn't help either that a nagging ringing that practically reverberated through her skull wouldn't dissipate as well. The feeling left her uneasy, concerned even, that maybe something else was wrong with her, a lingering fear that she may once again frighten her brother and in turn he would do something... very wrong again. She didn't want him to. She didn't want this fear to take over their lives, his as well as hers, where just a small cut on her finger could take her very life, like it did their father's life. Such painful memories to them both and she refused to add more for him as well.
The ringing became more persistent, almost painful to where she had to stop and try to take calming breaths. Nothing would happen today, she assured herself and continued her walk. She was near to home anyway, would lie down and sleep. The rest was needed after the long day, that was all.
At home she found Lucian was once again absent from their home. She only hoped he hadn't gotten into trouble and jailed again since it had taken most of her money from work to pay for his release again. Tired, she wanted to not dwell in her nervousness over this and thought positively that he would come home very soon, while she slept. She'd just wake and cook him their meager breakfast again, but that wasn't what she awoke to.
It was so very dark, a muskiness of earthen scents all around her, and a dim light of a large "void" that hovered in her sight. A cauldron was near and bubbling, its contents unknown to her as she had no idea how she got here or where she was. She remembered none of it other than sleeping in her bed, so maybe it was a dream?
It is not, girl. You are really here with me. "
And... who are you... where are you.... " She said quietly as she looked around herself in obvious fear before her gaze went to the portal.
Keban. I am in this portal and.. you want to free me. "
Do I really.... " Verus didn't sound convinced at all, especially when there was a loud echo of a sort of laughter in her head that she nearly flinched over.
You do, because I'll make a sort of..... "wish" of yours come true. "
And what may that be... " She stared at the portal and she swore that she could actually see something in the "shadows" move among it.
Your fear... It was a long lingering echo, almost sinister yet intriguing in a way and she continued to listen to this "voice" of her head.
You can give it to me, I'll keep it and you'll never have to fear that again. No one will need it again."
And how would I do that? " Emotions didn't exactly just FLY away...
Blood... Give it to me. Overcome that fear of yours for a just a moment for me and you'll never have to fear it again. That could kill her though... and there was no one around to make the bleeding stop if she did so...
Time's ticking... tick tock... tick tock.. I'll leave you here alone if you wimp out on me. "
I have no way of... doing so.. There's no knife no... "
I'm sure you can get creative if you really want it that much. The voice cut her off quickly, leaving her feeling very exasperated now as well.
"
Do I really want it that much? "
Yes you do, You practically ooze the feeling to be free of such things to me. She stared at the portal then, unsure if it was right or wrong but it... didn't seem to want to leave that be. Maybe if she just did so, it would do whatever and they'd go their separate ways. It was silent now, probably watching her patiently as she thought it over and finally she looked around the cavern a bit, finding a sharp thin piece of rock. Would this even do the job? she wondered and returned to the portal with it in her hand. It'd work if she squeezed really hard probably, but her heart hammered in her chest from it.
"
I find something very strange with the fact you ask for blood... " She mumbled and then gave in to just squeeze hard down on the sharp sides, the stinging pain making her wince and the blood drip down her clenched hand to the floor.
It's not your blood I wanted, it was your fear. Now then... with that our pact is complete. A large dog stepped out through the portal then, causing her to drop the rock and squeak as she stepped back away from it.
And watch as I take it away your pain for you now. She stiffened as it neared her still and placed its nose on her hand, the pain went away. Curious she looked down at it to find the cut now healed and was in awe. "
How did you do that? "
He was amused as she looked it over as if some illusion was in place,
Magic. and I have a lot of things I need to teach you now.
