The breathy sound of wings flapping in the wind was a comfort to Kioda. She had run into to many irritating two leggers recently and that included the pathetic and stuck up Sam. Snorting she angled down towards a familiar spot. She had been here twice before, the last time she had come with two leggers who had bondeds with them.
She had mixed feelings about the events but otherwise nothing seemed to have died other than dragons. And she had come out the better orb wise. Perhaps she shouldn't knock the pink haired one off the list just yet. She was helpful in her own way.
Settling into the sand with a groan Kioda flexed her wings to relieve some of the tension from flying. Stretching her front legs out in front of her Kioda yawned. The day was still early the sun only just started it's rise over the sky and it was a clear day. A perfect day for hunting

Grrel had left her small Fae dragons behind as she flew out to the Cave where she'd promised to meet Kioda after they'd run into each other. She flew high above the dune sea below and enjoyed the feeling of sun and wind. She was certain that she'd be able to haul home a fair amount of orbs today, maybe even enough to try for a second time? No.. She needed to practice her magic more, learn to control greater amounts before she tried the Ritual again. I'll do that today, test my control over magic and try to use bigger spells with more power to them....
She spotted a small green figure below her and dived towards it, looks like Kioda beat me to the cave!

Faraf's day had begun similarly to most others in recent memory. After waking up to the sight of Issath looming over him, the orakovan had followed his only friend out of the cavern and into the crisp, cool air that accompanied the rising sun. She had led him across the water, that much he was sure of, but on the way to wherever her final destination might have been, a high, dense fog had rolled in, and Faraf had completely lost his bearings. By the time he caught sight of land again, the Diabi was well and truly lost.
He had never actually traveled to Eowyn before, but a number of telltale features of the landscape led him to believe that the desert continent was where he had ended up. Feeling slightly helpless and mostly terrified, Faraf had taken shelter in a nearby cave for a little over a full day, a deep, dark hollow that was even more frightening than the open desert and driving sun in its own way, if only because of the growls and grunts that emerged from its depths. Right now, it was largely silent, giving him ample opportunity to notice the sounds Kioda and Grrel were making just outside. The question he faced now was, was he more afraid of being alone with whatever lurked inside the cave or of confronting who or what was making those noises? In a particularly bold move, Faraf ventured closer to the exit, spotting a pair of lovely females outside, rather than something monstrous. At least that made his choice much simpler. He'd always been better with his tongue than his claws, and they wouldn't... attack him, right?
The sickly-looking khehora emerged slowly with a slightly submissive slant to his posture, though his eyeless gaze remained curiously fixed on the pair.
"Hello and good morning!" he announced, his melodious voice quite possibly his most immediately appealing feature. "I am Faraf of Soudul and I am delighted to make acquaintances of you both." He really was delighted at the moment. He hoped he might remain that way.

"Keh" Another sulking sigh and another thrust of his feet into the sand. Scratching at his neck irritated by the hot air, sweat, sand, God's horrors know what else. Having been shoved out of his home to do some training in order to prove himself a valuable assassin Hisado hated this. To an extent. It was more that he had to do it alone that found it's way grinding whatever gears motivated his will power to move.
Pulling out the map from his kimono, Hisado unfolded the wadded ball and examined it's surface. He had been sent to this strange place called "The cave of Dragons." Snorting he checked his location to the best of his ability before wadding up the paper and shoving it back into his kimono. Wasn't far now.
The sound of voices reached his ears. Gazing over the mute colored sand Hisado located what appeared to be a gathering of miniature dragons and beyond them an opening of some sort. Perfect. That was probably the cave he was looking for. Those speaking were probably dragons themselves. Studying them a moment Hisado's mind clicked. They were familiar, he had seen these kind of dragons before. Not really dragons. What were they... Khehora? Yeah that sounded right. He'd been tempted to go egg hunting in the future when he would be more powerful. Perhaps join a pleasant trade market for them. He could make lots of money that way!
To start off with he would need to be friendly wouldnt he? Checking to make sure his mask was well covering his features Hisado moved to welcome the Khehora around him. "Well, this is a pleasant time to stumble across so many. Now now I mean no harm. Just dragon hunting. Probably like the rest of you?" He guessed.

Kioda's eye flickered upward as a shadow passed overhead, the figure of a Khehora. Her eyes were useless against the shadow. With the sun on the oppoite side all she could see was the unnerving shadow of someone approaching. Sniffing the air for any indication of who it could be Kioda smiled brilliantly up at her friend. It was Grrel! She would know that scent anywhere and she was very pleased to see her friend approaching.
There was another scent she could tell in the area. Many other scents but none of which she knew. Waiting until Grrel had landed Kioda looked around. "Did you bring more with you? I smell the scent of others." As if in response to her words Kioda jumped as Faraf approached and began speaking. Bristling momentarily at the strange new greeting, staring long and hard at him Kioda tried to figure out if he was Khehora or some other species she wasn't familiar with.
Before she had the chance to ask anymore questions a small two-legged child was now joining the group and attempting to start up a conversation. Rolling her eyes towards the entrance of the cave Kioda wanted to pretend nothing more was going on other than she and Grrel would be going through the cave and potentially slaughtering dragons. The more orbs required the better.
"I'm in no mood for lengthy hello's I just want to hunt for orbs." Kioda muttered to no one in particular.

Grrel nuzzled Kioda in greeting and gave hr a confused look, "Others? I came alone.." She turned her head and watched the two strangers pop up one after the other. Well, one was a decent looking Firani Khehora the other... A child.. no bonded so perhaps this one would be a decent child like Reamos and Kadryn had... And if it turned out to be an egg thief, then she'd just kill it. It was the adult thieves that were hard to kill, the children were more adept at stealing, but easier to kill. More people... well, it'll make the fighting easier inside, and I guess we all came to kill dragons so we might as well join up. She thought doubtfully as she eyed the small Oblivionite male. Wonder what use he'll be.. or that smooth voiced one...
"Good day to you two. I'm Grrel and my young friend here is Kioda. Are you going into the cave?" If not, then she and Kioda could ditch them and go hunting. Grrel's tail lashed impatiently. She wanted to kill and test her powers already!

Going into the cave? By the sky, he'd just come out of the blasted thing! And what sort of khehora didn't want to talk? Having grown up surrounded by nothing but chatterboxes in love with the sound of their own voices, Faraf couldn't fathom not being at all interested in a proper introduction. He sat back on his haunches for a moment, his tail curling across the sand and around his feet as he fumbled for something to say that wasn't sarcastic or snappish. The child, at least, wasn't as thoroughly baffling as these females, but even he was here to fight. The Diabi had certainly not come here to hunt dragons, and he'd never seen an orb in his life, but he wasn't about to admit so now.
"Yes. Yes, I am going into the cave. For orbs. In fact, I was inside a moment ago, just there..." He indicated the spot with an extended claw. "The place sounds... lively... today." He swallowed. It was a good thing Faraf was already so pale or they might have noticed him go whiter still. He inclined his head at the Oblivionite and exhaled a plume of dark smoke. "Dragon hunting. Indeed." He eyed the mouth of the cave, but didn't move.

"Stellar! I'm Hisado, clearly you know who I am." He drawled out lazily after the orange Khehora had finished her own introductions of what he assumed was her and the stand-off-ish one. Eyeing the dark one with some interest. He didn't seem so confident in his claim to be hunting dragons.
No matter, he would shrug that bit of information off. "I would assume if we are all going that going as a group would be far more beneficial to everyone?" He smiled knowingly at the green Khehora then to the darker one. Interested in how the group forming would interact He had to agree with the green Khehora, Kioda was it? He wanted to move swiftly through the cave system he had been directed too. He had never been here before and wanted to finish this and quickly!
"Lets get going. I assume we are all together." Hisado dashed into the cave at full speed prepared for what ever would be in his way.

All the introductions were grating on her. Especially the soulless puppet and the way he introduced himself. Why would she know who he was? Why would she even take the time to care? It was a really good thing Grrel was more personable than she was. Her eyes narrowed at the eyeless Faraf. "Just in there were you? How far did you make it? How many Dragons and in what order?" She wasn't buying what he was saying, not one bit.
Eyeing the group Kioda took a step back as the strange soulless creature dashed off into the caves. Didn't he know who was in command around here? The Khehora! Certainly not a tiny helpless creature like him. Tilting her head to the side as she watched her eyes traveled back to Grrel questioningly. "Do we go after him? I for one would like to see how he holds up against even a Ysali right now." Lowering her head to the ground as she lowered her voice.
"I hope it eats him." She muttered.

Grrel snorted in disgust. What a cheeky twerp! Why would she have any reason to know any two-legger? And all his assumptions! "I hope he gets eaten too." She muttered to Kioda as she sauntered gracefully. She flicked her tail at the pale Khehora. "No matter that is sounds loud, that must mean there's dragons to be killed in there, come along Faraf. Lets go... If you were just in there then you should be fine with fighting."

Had she been one of the females he considered a friend, Faraf might have answered truthfully after a fashion, but he found that this Kioda's reply grated on some font of male pride he hadn't known he possessed, so he continued to lie.
"I only tangled with a couple of Ysalis before I heard your arrival," he replied, his voice much more even and assured than it had been before. He rose to his feet again, taking a quiet, deep breath and holding it for a handful of seconds in the hopes that his legs wouldn't shake. "Yes. It is time to venture back inside," he said. "Wouldn't want the morsel to go killing everything before I could show the two of you what I can do." His draconic grin came easily. Actually making forward progress did not. Faraf forced his legs to move, slowly and reluctantly trotting after the Kiandri. He could only hope that he would be murdered outright before he was completely humiliated.
