::milestones::February 25th 2005 - A bridle has been given to me and I have cryptically been told to care for it. How does one care for a bridle...?
February 27th 2005 - The bridle seems to have moved from where i hung it and footprints were seen at the base of the tree...
February 28th 2005 - The bridle is gone, and in its place, an infant has been left! o.o

::photo album::Stage One  A bridle was given to me (more or less) under odd circumstances. As per the instructions, I have hung it from a tree in my backyard and am waiting to see what's to be done with it next...Stage Two The bridle was taken, and in its place, a baby kelpie was left and entrusted to my care. Welcome, Artisan! Stage Three After an uneventful trip into a pond (and taking me with him...) Artisan is now a toddler! EEE!! So cute ^__^

::family:: Karma is Artisan's appointed guardian and "mom". While his arrival was rather unexpected and she found herself having to scramble to accomodate him, she is more than willing to carry out her obligations to ensure that he grows up safely. She has a bit of a temper and a sarcastic wit sharper than cheddar, but she generally tries to do her best with what life has handed her and often is forced to play the voice of reason if no one else will take up the reins.
 Mekakushi is one of Karma's longest-standing household companions. Long ago, he was one of her first "adoptees" until he matured out of needing to be cared for and started building a life away from dependancy. He still lives with Karma out of convenience and Karma, used to his company, allows it. He has a quick temper, a somewhat-sullen demeanor and, anymore, just goes along to get along. His two major loves in life are peanut butter and video games.
 Talon has had a rather bumpy life, which is only complicated by all of the denizens of Karma's household. They will both deny it, but Talon and Karma are rather close with each other. He hates her incessant coddling and meddling, and she hates his rotten temperment and suspicious nature. Through that mutual hatred, however, their bond occasionally shines through when both of them can be bothered to sit down and have a civil conversation. Talon is a staunch conservative, outwardly cold, but has a loving side that is not always as well-concealed as he'd like to think.
 Raven and Kendall are Karma's biological son and daughter. At the moment, Raven is residing with her father, Youko, in the house next door because she and Kendall fight entirely too much, so Kendall is the only one Arty is exposed to for prolonged periods of time. The two of them get along surprisingly well and Kendall treats Arty the same way he would a well-loved little brother...namely because he admires Arty's ablity to be gross without getting in trouble.

Q: How did you end up with Artisan anyway?
A: Jaden PMed me after having read the breedables sticky asking for any other tips about starting a shop. After giving him some advice, he told me what he planned on selling and I became instantly interested. I told him about my failed Fa'e concept, Arkanti, and that I would be sure to stalk his shop in the future for a chance to bring him to life. Jaden, wanting to see if his concept would work when actually in-motion, gave Artisan the long-awaited gift of life in exchange for my participation ^_^
Q: Um...so how did you plead your case? What would I have to tell him to get my own Changeling brought to life?
A: I didn't 'plead' anything, really...I had no idea he planned on giving me such a generous gift, we were just making smalltalk over PM, he mentioned the fa'e, and I mentioned Arkanti in turn. That's all.
Q: I have objections to how you portray a kelpie. They should be done like .
A: Arty is a character. It is wrong to say that just because he is a particular species, he will act a certain way. He comes with his own quirks and short circuits, just like any other character and if my playing offends you, don't click my diary link in the future.
Q: Can I help you co-own Arty?
A: If Arty, in the future, is in need of someone to provide foster care, I will seek someone out. Don't worry <3
Q: Since you didn't pay anything for him, may I buy him from you?
A: Nope!
Q: Where did you get all that pixel food??
A: Various places. Some on-gaia, some off-gaia. The off-gaia sites are linked in the last post on this page as per their terms for using their images.
Q: Can I have from Arty's stash?
A: You are certainly welcome to go to the sites I got it from and get your own, or track down the minishops. I'm not stopping ya.
Q: His name used to be Arkanti, why is his name Artisan now?
A: Because life likes to deal curve balls. Not a few weeks after getting my changeling, I was contacted by fa'e HQ and was informed that Arkie would be coming to life after all. Jaden then contacted me and asked if I would like a different artifact/changeling. I told him no, I had grown too attached to my little kelpie baby, but that I may need to change his name to avoid confusion. Ergo, Arkanti became Artisan. And now you know.
