The sun was just starting to rise on a peaceful winter morning. The snow that had been falling throughout the night was finally starting to taper off. Blinking away the snow glare the stallion looked around. Most of his hoof prints had been filled in by the snow, leaving only the most recent prints. A sound from his side caused him to look down at his companion, the lynx was looking back at him with an amused expression."We're lost," she said barley managing not to laugh, this was far from the first time that Demetrius had gotten them lost. "We're not lost, Lumina," Dimi replied with a frown."Are.""Not."
This continued for a few minutes before the stallion sighed. "Alright we're lost, happy?" he grumbled. He was extremely glad that Arachna wasn't with them, the last time this had happened in front of the flutter she had nearly passed out from laughing. On the other hoof if the flutter was with them they probably wouldn't be lost as the mare had a better sense of direction then he did.
Looking around again he twitched, as much as he loved snow, the blanket of white had completely removed all land marks. He didn't have the slightest clue where they were. He looked down to find Lumina looking up at him. "Any idea where we are?" he asked with little hope, the lynx didn't tend to go far from him and was unlikely to recognize someplace he couldn't although she was more observant them he was so there was always the possibility.
As the lynx shook her head he couldn't help but sigh again. Maybe he should keep his late night wanderings closer to home until spring or make sure Arachna was available to accompany him before going outside the areas he was familiar with."Maybe someones around that can point us in the direction of a river," Lumina offered, rule one of adventuring with an ice tiger - if all else fails find a river and follow it back to familiar territory.

The stallion flinched slightly when wind caught his wings, making them creak. He glanced over his shoulder, dark green hair waving slightly in the wind as well. The shifting of the bones hurt. It was like someone was pulling at nerves and forcing it to stretch more than he needed stretched. But, that was this time of year. He did it last year, he could do it again. He carefully folded the wings as best as he could against his back, the long barbs poking into his flank slightly. He shook his head, before moving slowly through the snow, his eyes flickering around. Where was he even going? He had to think of something. He couldn't just walk and wander and all that. He needed a destination. Though at the same time, he didn't want to go home and face his parents once more with no new news. His life was boring at the moment, and he didn't like it...
That was when he saw something bright through the treeline. Acacia's head tilted slightly, and he looked around for a moment. What was that? He sniffed the air some, though only got cold air, his own breath coming out in a quick burst of bright white, freezing as soon as it hit the air. He flicked his tail, mind calculating the probability of it being someone that could hurt him. He doubted it, since not many Kalona or Walkers wandered these parts ( or were that brightly colored! ). Smiling some, the flutter moved forward, his hooves kicking up the flurries as he did. Eventually he got close enough to see that it was another stallion, and a small lynx. He paused, smiling toward them, though was uncertain if they noticed he was there or not.
"Hello! Are you lost?" He asked, voice raised a bit in case the wind cut him off.

Demetrius stared at the stallion for a moment, the timing of his appearance was startling. He looked down at the lynx with a raise brow. "Did you time that?" he asked.Lumina blinked. "No, I was as unaware as you." She had no idea how she had missed the dark red among all the white and was starting to worry about the lapse, what if it had been a skinwalker instead of a flutter. Demetrius tossed his bangs out of his face and turned his attention to the other stallion. "Hello, I prefer to think we mealy misplaced are way but in essence yes," he replied to the question with a rueful smile. He looked the stallion over wondering what a flutter was doing out in the cold. Having grown up in subzero temps the current temperature was rather pleasant to him but Arachna had been complaining about the cold, one of the reasons she wasn't along on this trip, and having never met another flutter before he could only guess that others would find the temperature bothersome as well. The other stallions wings reminded him of his friends, though his were less webbed butterfly and more web, in Dimi's mind there was little difference, flutter wings were flutter wings and lacked the protection of feathers. "Aren't you cold?" he asked in concern stepping closer and using his wings in an attempt to block the wind.

Acacia smiled gently, his eyes softening some. He hadn't meant to startle them, but he was quiet on his hooves. He shifted some, the bone wings folding against his back to stop from the wind blowing at them. It always ached when the bones were tugged in ways he didn't want. He looked the stallion and small lynx over, before sending them an easy smile. He didn't want them to panic, but he could easily survive outside. He shifted on his hooves, before shaking his head slowly. "Oh, thank you! But no, I'm not cold at all. I rather like the cold. The wind, on the other hand, isn't as enjoyable." He commented.
He glanced them over again, before tilting his head. Acacia wasn't certain how to approach the situation. He didn't usually allow anyone this close to him, not without being super careful. But as of right now, he stood rather still, the blocking of the wind comfortable. "So do you need to be led somewhere else? Somewhere safer?" He asked, rather curious.
