Likes: Pretty scarves, apples, jewelry, being warm, sleeping under a roof, horses Dislikes: Foster homes, being cold, bugs, authority Roleplay Color: Maroon • Personality • Teegan O'Connaly is a right spitfire of a girl. Though she's had to grow up extremely fast, she doesn't let her personal responsibilities get in the way of her childlike demeanor. You see, Teegan just wants to be a kid. Sure, she's a kid that has to feed herself(usually by stealing from the market), and find her own shelter every night, but she still likes cute dolls and pretty scarves. She longs for a mother and father to tuck her in at night under warm blankets and tell her they love her. Even though she has never known what that feeling is like, she doesn't let it get her down. The world is one big adventure, Palisade a giant city of opportunity even for a lonely cut-purse.
Speaking of cut-purses, Teegan has always been good at thieving and sneaking and takes pride in her abilities to do both of them well. While she's always attributed her skill to her own determination to survive, sometimes she wonders if she's...special. People give her strange looks as it is, what with her brilliant red hair and two-toned eyes. Her Aireish parentage is clear in her looks, but born of Palisade, she has none of the accent of her parents. She also takes a perverse pleasure in singing a very old, chilling nursery rhyme taught to her by an orphan boy long ago...one about the coming of wolves. • History • Teegan was born in summer to a loving mother and father in a little apartment sitting at the heart of Palisade. Doted upon like a treasure, she never wanted for anything for the first year of her life. Even if her weirdly colored eyes gave strangers pause, Teegan's parents never looked at her with anything other than pure love.
But during the middle of her second winter, tragedy struck. A flux ripped through their neighborhood, decimating families. Dozens of people succumbed to it. Somehow, Teegan remained healthy and vibrant, but her parents began to grew sicker and sicker. When her husband died, Teegan's mother feared for her daughter's life, knowing that her own life was fading with each wracking cough and body shaking chill. Wanting her beautiful baby to survive, she brought Teegan to an orphanage across town, the babe bundled in brightly colored silken scarves beneath a rough wool blanket. Begging the matron to care for her child, she sobbed as she kissed her goodbye, leaving the orphanage in tears...
And dying only hours later.
Ever since, Teegan has gone from foster home to foster home, for she grew to be a beautiful child. But she was wild, had attitude problems, and penchant for stealing beautiful things. With each home, she grew more and more angry, until finally, she escaped one night at the age of 11, determined to live on her own. Two years have passed and Teegan still stalks the dangerous streets of Palisade, a dirty girl with striking eyes and a fierce will to survive. • Plots • Teegan doesn't know that she is a hedge witch. Her uncanny aptitude for sneaking and thieving actually comes from her hedge witch abilities, and these will be compounded when she meets Sneak, the black fox destined to be her familiar. Until that time, she will run into many things, including Soibhan, Rosalie, and others of the splinter cell. • Important People •
