Entering the small apartment, came the lone soilder. A bit exhausted, he found his bed in the far corner of the room.

A single bed with black sheets and pillows. The rooms appearnace was simple and not to shabby. Wallpaper a dull grey and the floor a dark brown.

Two windows in the apartment had black curtains that were parted allowing some light in to cover the room. A tall dark oak dresser near the bed, a nightstand. Not forgetting the bathroom to the far right frmo the bed with the door closed.
He had no tv seeing as no point in needing one. A table where he was supposed to dine had weapons and polishing equipment spreading all over the table.

A fridge, typical, nothing on it just plain white. Another table with maps and other documents on it.

A picture frame, small, sat on the dresser with the image of him, and his other comrades. Zell, Selphie, His teacher Qui and Riona..In the image He and Riona were very close, his arm around her and...was it? Yup, the stone cold soilder was really -Smiling-.
With the dust collecting everywhere around the picture, it seemed as if he was letting old memoires rot away in silence.
In fact, thats what took up the most space in the lonely apartment.

Silence.

Staring out his now open door he looked upon his so called 'teacher' who was standing before him. Taking time to regester in his mind what she had just said, due to exhaustion, he blinked.

"...Oh..Thanks.."

Was his bland reply. Standing back, he gave a silent gesture to come inside. Watching her move into the room he closed the soild door behind her and went towards his bed sitting down. Hunching forward, arms resting on his knees, hands dangling off his lap and head leaning forward staring onto the floor.

Somehow, on his trip from the door to his bed he had completely forgotten why she was even there. He was really tired, due to lack of sleep. He had been having horrible nightmares of past events that wouldnt stop playing in his mind.

Quietly, he watched her place the polished weapons to different sections of the table. Taking a moment to observe, he stood to his feet. Walking over he helped alittle before sitting down in one of the chairs.

"....Thanks.."

Came a soft reply as he reached out for the box and chopsticks he was givin. Ah..Food. He had almost completely forgotten about -that- part of living. Taking hold of both ends he gave a tug, breaking the wooden chopsticks apart. And taking a few nibbles.

*chew chew*

Gay? This made him lift his head lightly before glancing off. What did he care what they thought..?

"...So? Let them think what they want.."

He didn't have to -impress- them. What did he care? He didn't even want to be there to begin with.

"...I close myself off to everyone. Better that way, Getting close to someone only gets in the way of things.."

And besides, how could he get closer to someone after Riona? There was only one of her..He pushed more rice into his mouth, shurging the matter off.

Whatever...

Was his only thought. He'd rather aviod everyone then get closer to them. And besides, they didn't know him. And he didn't know them..He liked it that way.

Saying nothing, he just chewed his food contently.

"...."

Swallowing, he took another bite of some food. His back facinghis dresser where the almost completely forgotten picture frame sat. Swallowing his second chew of food, he took another bite. He would have asked why she was here but his mouth was full..

He eyed her slightly. How could one woman have an abyss for a stomach? He didn't say it for fear of getting a high kick to the face. Instead, kept his comments to himself.

"...."

He glanced back down to his half finished food. Not seeming very interested in goobling up the rest. Lack of appetite maybe? While she went about eatting, his mind wandered off to other places.

Riona..I want to hear your voice again..

It was eatting him up inside, he couldnt sleep..the images of her face just tore at him. Closing his tired eyes, he sighed, barely any air came out through his lips. Mostly all through his nostrals.

"....."

A hug? That was a line Squall would -never- cross.

"...No thanks.."

He wasnt one for hugs and kisses..He wasnt a baby and didn't want to be treated like one. His tone wasnt the nomarl coldness it usually was with people, but more along the lines of bland and almost empty of emotion...-Wait..
-Yup it was the nomarl coldness.

Standing up, he left his food and moved away towards the dresser which sat near the open window. Resting a palm onto the wooden frame of the window he kept his side to the picture frame sitting upon the dusty dresser. Hazel, almost blueish hues staring out into the open sky.

"...."

What?

"What?..."

Exactly.

Curiously, he glanced over his shoulder. One brow arched in a ' uhhh...' type of dumbfounded manner. Turning halfway around he stared at her a minute before giving some sign of life. Blinking a few times in a absolute ' what the f-' moment.
