Ammon couldn't help but feel hopeless at his year worth of searching for his sister only to come up empty handed. He was certain he had searched the entire land for her. It was unbelievable. Ammon sighed and shook his head. He must have been a step behind or ahead of her every time. No one could tell him about her or her location which seemed to indicate it was the latter. "I have no luck." Ammon felt silly. He was a decent hunter and his tracking skills had improved greatly since this journey began. Needless to say the lions pride was hurt almost beyond repair.

With a huff the young male fell onto his stomach and growled at himself. He needed a distraction, something, anything. Ammon was certain that it was time to give up his search for his sister but he had nothing else to do. He had left his home to follow her, it was his duty as her brother. There were many ideals his father had instilled in them and a great deal of them he and his sister were not able to agree with, which is why they left. However, there were some things that were harder to break than others. Once more the lion sighed. "This sucks."

User ImagePerhaps Ammon was just a bit luckier than he'd given himself credit for. Surely she wasn't the lioness he was looking for, but at the very least the lioness about to stumble in his path would offer some form of distraction.

She'd been out to hunt, she'd been careful not to go too far since she was alone, but somehow the next thing she was aware of was waking in a daze in the rogue lands. When trying to recall how she had gotten there the only images that came to mind were black wings and feathers, and the laughter of an unknown male. Her only evidence were a rock with dried blood on it, a pounding in her skull, a scent fading fast, and a few green feathers littering her mane.

Adiva was absolutely positive she had no idea what had happened to lead her to such circumstances, but she awoke feeling quite panicked. What had happened? What had she done? Where was she? She had to get home!

But... where was home? Who would be looking for her?

Yes, her past was also a part of the mystery. She could recall her name... Adiva'Bat-shiva. She knew that she had come from a pride... she carried the scents of many others. She knew that there was someone important she had to return to... her heart ached so, though she could not identify why. Beyond that, however, she had no idea where to start, whose scent was whose, where she was supposed to go.

Feeling particularly distraught, then, she began to wander in the first direction that seemed logical.

It was three days later when she felt the keen sting of hunger. Dirty, weakened, and still horribly confused- that was the state she was in when she stumbled into Ammon's line of vision. The lion both did and didn't seem familiar. To look at him made her head ache, because his coloring seemed to be trying to trigger a memory that her mind wasn't ready to recall. His scent was unfamiliar. Advia squinted her eyes and tried to hold herself steady on her paws but in the end it was of no use. The sudden wooziness finally got the better of her, and after what must have been a rather drunkenly interesting display (including her "glare") the female swayed to one side and collapsed where she stood.

It was with a great deal of confusion that Ammon looked back at the seemingly drunk lioness. Was she looking at him? Had he done something wrong? Admittedly her pelt was extremely hard to miss, like his own. The lioness didn't look familiar in any way but from the way she glared at him from across the way he felt unsure. It was only when she began to sway and ultimately collapse that he let himself off the hook. Obviously this lioness had a little too much fermented fruit or something. Despite the glare Ammon quickly rushed over to the lioness' side, inspecting her to make sure she wasn't injured. Immediately he smelled her scent which had a great deal of other lions mixed with her own and he wondered if she had gotten lost while on her way home. It was rather hot out. "Hey, are you okay?" Ammon asked, dipping his head to get a closer look and a little too close he tried to inspect her head. He couldn't really tell if she had hit it when she fell since she had a lot of hair.

For a moment Ammon lifted his head and let his orange eyes scan the horizon once more. It appeared that she was alone which could either be a good or bad thing. Depending on who might be looking for her. Ammon had learned in these lands that interacting with anyone, let alone a lioness, was dangerous. Given this situation though Ammon couldn't leave her alone. Not that he wouldn't have offered his paw to help someone in almost any other situation. His orange eyes once more came to rest on the lioness before him. He needed to get her out of the sun and probably get some water into her if possible.

It looked like she hadn't seen a good nights rest let alone a bath in several days. This seemed to confuse him given her scent but he wouldn't ask her. Was she even awake? It didn't matter. "Try to be still, if something hurts tell me. Otherwise. . ." He paused, taking this moment to put his nose under her belly and slowly inching her onto his back. "Just try to relax and let me get you help." He said, grunting a little as her weight settled on his back. It was a bold move that he would not have done ordinarily but given her woozy fall he figured her walking was out of the question. "Sorry about this."

His guess really wasn't that far off. While not necessarily drunk she was certainly feeling dazed from the hunger and exhaustion. She hadn't slept, how could she? Waking up in a strange place, no real memory of where she came from- let alone how to get back there, and as near as she could tell she might have some any number of shameful things during the time she couldn't remember. The lioness didn't know why but she had a distinct feeling that it would be unforgivable if she'd fornicated with some strange male.

All she could offer in response to his question was a groan, no real discernible words. He was getting closer than she felt comfortable with but while fighting for consciousness she really couldn't do much about it. Instead she found herself trying not to panic during her moments of clarity when she realized she was being lifted off the ground.

So now there she was hanging from his back almost like a prize, now dazed, hungry, AND confused, on the verge of panicking, and dizzy.

"Where am I...?"

When the female groaned Ammon nearly stopped in what he was doing because he was sure he had hurt her. However, he realized that she had already been injured and if he left her here she would surely die. He now had her on his back, hauling her off to someplace where she would be safe, be able to rest and he could have the time to help fix her up. "You're in the rogue lands." He said, unsure if she had meant their location or in general. "I'll take you someplace safe. I promise." He tried to reassure her. If he was being hauled off by some stranger he couldn't himself being as nearly calm or composed as she was. Then again, she was in a pretty rough shape. "Let's see. . . " He breathed quietly as he headed to the west which he knew had a den because he had stayed there the night before. It would be a lengthy walk but it was better to go with the certain rather than the uncertain in this scenario. He didn't really like traveling backwards though.

It took Ammon a couple hours to reach the den from the other day but when he did, he was glad to not smell any new scents. "Home sweet home." The male had sweat dappled on the fur on his face and all down his back. Under his mane there was quite a bit more. Ammon walked slowly into the den with the lioness still draped over his back. He carefully slid her off his back which was made easier due to some of the sweat that had collected on him. He was sure the female was probably disgusted but at least he hadn't dropped her or left her to die. Besides, she had needed a bath before that. "Are you alright?" Ammon asked, once more inspecting her. "Can you stand yet?" What if he had jostled her too much and caused her injuries to worsen? He wasn't sure that she had any though. But she probably did. She had fallen onto the hard ground.
