After seeking out a mentor in training Helena had set out to see a little more of the world beyond her mother's herd. It was admittedly one of the scariest tasks she had undertaken in her short life but it was one she felt determined to complete. Helena Augusta felt that if her mother was to choose her to become her heir then she needed to prove herself worthy of the position. Not that there was any sign that she was the heir to the herd. Her sister or brother were just as likely to be chosen for the position as she was. There was also the possibility of her mother and father having more children and any of them could be heirs as well. Despite this fact Helena Augusta decided it would be better to be prepared just in case. Looking at herself a couple weeks ago, well, there had been much she needed to learn and experience before then.

"Mmmm." She let out softly while she stretched out her limbs. How long had she been walking? Probably two days straight. "That's not smart." Helena Augusta said with a sigh. The mare had this terrible habit of walking for days on end without stopping to take a break. Her limbs made sure to inform her of her wrong doing but it was a habit she hadn't been able to break. Thinking about it now she realized it might have been a good idea to bring her sister along for the journey, but then again she needed to do it on her own. It was a complicated predicament she had put herself in. "I did learn how to fight." She told herself proudly. There were some positives to this journey at least. It had only just begun so surely there were more to come, right? Helena grinned as she contemplated the idea more. Yes. She needed to stay positive and look on the bright side. If she let herself get down she would never be worthy of being the heir to her mothers herd and that was something she was determined to do. "I can do this." Once more she urged herself to have confidence in herself and the mission she was on.

Helena shook out her braided mane and began to preen herself if only for the simple reason of keeping herself in one place for a while to rest. Now that her confidence was restored in what she was doing it allowed her brain to drift to other thoughts, mostly to home. Helena really did miss her family. She pondered what they would all be doing at this time. The thought brought a smile to her face and she closed her eyes, trying to relish in the thoughts of home.
