Still feeling rather depressed about everything that was going on, Xen took a break and tied to find a shady spot to rest in. She didn’t feel the need to rest, but she wanted to take a minute and just think. The heat was coming down pretty hard today, her clothing was sticking to her and sweat beads rolled down from her forehead to land on her jaw. She took a swing of the water jug she’ brought with her, thanking the goddess as the cool liquid ran down her throat. Too hot, why the hell did Dae always have to send her here?
The something moved in the horizon and Xenosa knew this was prey, closing the jug she carefully made her way over to the thing, indeed it was another Kiandri who hadn’t spotted her yet. Good. She moved towards it with more speed now, the dragon still hadn’t caught her. When it came within her throwing range, her dagger shot out with accuracy and hit its target square on. The dragon crumbled and Xen picked up the last remains. The glowing orb which she needed, that of which Dae had asked her to fetch for her.
Thinking two dragons in one day was enough to get out from the heat, Xenosa returned to the inn she was staying at. As she got inside and removed her clock, the clerk behind the desk mentioned her over. “A messenger came running in for you, he said this was urgent.” The ORderite tore into the envelope and read its content swiftly. Daesat was calling her back home and she was to leave immediately. This was of the highest priority; Xen nodded t the man and went upstairs to pack. Never had Dae sent her an urgent message as such, she wondered what lay ahead.
