Yaholo was quite certain that he would need to start stocking up on hair fasteners for whenever he decided to take a swim. He wandered out of the water, his hair sticking to both his face and his back, and his posture rather stiff. Why was it that everytime he tried not to get his hair drenched, it happened anyway? He sighed and grasped the ends of his hair to drain the water before moving his bangs out of his eyes. Okay, he had made it across the Isles again without getting caught, now all he had to do was wander around for a while until his hair dried.
"Mmm, maybe...?" He mumbled, turning to the left. It couldn't hurt to wander the beach, right? It's not like anyone would be out here this late... He stretched, sighed, and moved along the shoreline. His babies were alright, as they had been the days before, and he could relax for the night. Tomorrow morning he would be worried again, he knew that, but at least for now he could be at peace. Aisha would take over from here until he came back.

Rishima was on the move again, something that he couldn't help but to do in an almost compulsive manner these days. He was wandering from place to place, all but waring a path between the Chibale Isles where Aisha and a lot of his sisters resided. As a warrior of the Alkidike he felt that it was his duty to keep an eye on things, to protect his people, but he found himself drifting toward a Shifter village from time to time too. He never approached, just checked in on it, wanting to make sure that one family that lived there was safe before he moved on again. It was a routine that was at times exhausting but he saw it as a worthwhile endeavor.
He was just circling back around when he noticed movement down below by the beach, someone swimming at this time of night? He blinked his dark eyes a couple times, squatting down, his hand tightening on his weapon. What was he up to? Nothing he'd suspect he thought to himself before hopped down down the branches of the tree, landed easily, and rushed forward toward the dark skinned man. Once he was close enough he thrust his weapon forward toward him and demanded, "What are you doing here?" What was the man up to? Surely he wasn't an invader from Oba, he didn't look anything like that giant from the tournament, meaning that this was someone else suspicious. No matter, he'd figure it out and see that he was dealt with accordingly if it turned up that he was dangerous.

"OH HOLY-" Yaholo screamed as Rishima approached. He drew his hammer as quickly as he could and took a defensive stance. As he moved, a few stray hairs got into his eyes, but it wasn't enough to obscure his vision. Damn it! A fellow warrior caught him! This was freaking perfect! Dark eyes scanned his opponent and widened sharply. Another male hybrid, eh? He took a step backwards, but still kept his gaze firmly upon Rishima.
"I mean you no harm, Sister!" He exclaimed. "All that I ask is that you lower your weapon and allow me to pass without alerting anyone else. There is no need for violence."

Rishima's antennae gave a bit of a twitch as the other man grabbed up his weapon, going on the defensive. He starred at him, giving him a once over, sizing him up, but didn't lower his weapon. The other man was holding a massive hammer after all, he'd be a fool to lower his own weapon when the stranger was so dangerous. Instead he held his spear level, the sharp end pointed at the one before him. What should he do now though, that was the question, should he call out for his sisters? Would they even hear him? Should he call for Itzal who was likely sleeping nearby, he would be a useful ally if a battle started between himself and this invader.
What he said next though gave him pause, when the guy referred to him as 'sister', it was something that made his mismatched eyes narrow slightly. Was the guy trying to trick him? He wasn't quite sure. He was asked to lower his weapon, to allow the stranger to go by without alerting anyone else, and told him there was no need for violence. He really hoped that the last thing was true, he really didn't want to fight it out with the stranger if he didn't have to, "I won't lower my weapon if you don't tell me what you are up to." He said, tightening his grasp on weapon, doing his best to appear completely calm even if he wasn't feeling calm. He had been patrolling for far too long without rest and actually stumbling across someone suspicious just left Rishima on edge.
"All you have to do is explain yourself and maybe we can both walk away from this without coming to blows." He said, antennae twitching again, more rapidly this time.

Well, so much for that. He heaved a sigh, inched himself backwards, and set his hammer down in front of him. Having a weapon in his hand wasn't the best way to seem friendly, no amount of words could help him accomplish the opposite. Then, he raised his arms halfway, but still kept a defensive pose.
"I was visiting our Mother, Sister." He explained as calmly as possible. "I... I have two lotuses, and I can't go a day without worrying about them. Please, allow me to pass, I can't have the others know about them. I fear for their lives, otherwise."

Rishima felt himself relaxing ever so slightly when the other man put his weapon down, a sign that maybe he really wasn't looking for a fight? Good, good, he really didn't want to fight, he would much rather things remain peaceful even if those in Oba didn't want for the same. He let out the breath of air that he didn't know that he was holding, flipped his spear around, and rested the butt of it against the sand that he was standing in. He starred at the other man, waiting for further explanation and when he got it he found himself starring, eyes rather wide, "Wait, you were visiting Aisha?" He asked, glancing toward the isles, up and down the beach, then back to Yaholo once more. He'd... swam to the isles? That wasn't a good thing, that meant that there was danger for their sisters, something he would have to warn them over.
What he said next though, it was even more shocking, he had lotuses on the Isles? Wait, wait... his eyes went wide, "But... how? Who are you? What are you?" How was it that a man was able to get not one but two lotuses from their holy mother? He had no idea but he found himself more then a little curious about it, "Are you with one of our sisters? Is that why Aisha allowed it?" He asked of him, forgetting for a moment about the fact that he should be reporting back to his fellow sisters about this strange man.

Yaholo lowered his arms to his sides once more, leaving his hammer where he had left it. It was best not to touch it, or he might set off a nerve within this guy, something he really wanted to avoid. However, his own nerves were set off when he was questioned about how he could have been granted lotuses from Aisha. Was this guy blind? Couldn't he see his markings? His eyes? He blew some hair off of his forehead, paused, and sighed. Right, wet hair, DUH.
"Sister, I think you're mistaken." He said, pulling his bangs away from his eyes. "I'm a hybrid, as I believe you are, as well. I'm from Andile, my mother is Luljeta and my father is Cusick, a man from Yera, in Tale. Aisha granted me two children in my image, I have no partner."
Rishima would never know how much Yaholo wanted to scream at him. How dare he not see him as a Sister? How dare he accuse him of having no right to have children or receive blessings from his Mother? He didn't just go through his entire lifetime trying to fight prejudice against him for nothing!

The change that came over Rishima was a visible one, the way he relaxed, the way the aggressive air around him seem to fade, and he even smile a bit when the other explained himself. Ohhh, that made sense he thought to himself before he planted the butt of his spear into the sand, leaving it there. Closing the distance between himself and Yaholo he lifted a hand reaching out to him, then gave a nod, "Ahhh, I see. Forgive me sister, it's a little dark, it makes it hard to see you." He explained, his silvery skin flushing darkly. He hadn't meant to insult a fellow sister, especially one who was not only Alkidike but male as well. Those were the sorts that he should actually be friends with the most he thought to himself. Of course taking in the weapon he carried it made him wonder if he were more in tune with his other half since it wasn't a weapon he saw his sister carry before now.
Shaking his head he couldn't help but to find all that more interest in this guy. So this was one of his sisters, a hybrid male, one without a pure blood Alkidike mate, and still Aisha granted him a pair of lotuses in his image? He gave a bit of a sighing sound, "Wow... you must be something, huh? For Aisha to grant you a pair of lotuses, sister, I have to say I am in awe. Please forgive my earlier rudeness." He said, finding himself wondering for a moment if that meant that he would perhaps that Aisha might consider granting him the same sort of thing?
While it wasn't something that he meant to do at the present but the idea of a child... it did flutter through his thoughts from time to time, more since since Elder Eshe had gotten his aid in saving one of their younglings.

Yaholo, too, relaxed, as Rishima extended his hand to him. He took it in his firmly and shook, smiling. Conflict successfully avoided, and quickly, too. That was good, he didn't want to fight his own Sister, though he would have defended himself if Rishima had tried to land a hit. Now he could be at ease and talk to his Sister without fear.
"It's alright, I understand." He said, chuckling lightly. "I get the skin from my dad, though no one is quite as dark as I am, from what I've observed. No harm done."
His own cheeks began to blush as well when Rishima spoke about how important he must be in order to be blessed with two lotuses. He rubbed the back of his head nervously and chuckled. "Honestly, I'm still amazed myself..." He replied. "I went to her expecting nothing and I was given far much more. I feel very very lucky and I'm excited."
He gazed towards the isles, his thoughts drifting back to his lotuses for a moment, before he faced Rishima again.
"Anyway, I'm Yaholo." He said. "What's your name?"

Rishima's antennae twitched happily as he shook his fellow hybrid's hand, giving him a smile, "What tribe is your father from?" He asked in a curious manner. Looking him over he couldn't quite tell, he had darker skin then Rishima had seen before, perhaps he did a lot of work under the sun? He really was a curious looking one he thought to himself, trying to imagine what the younglings born from his lotuses might look like. Adorable, that much Rishima was certain of.
So he went to their mother tree expecting nothing but ended up with two lotuses? It meant that there was hope then he thought to himself, giving a bit of a smile, "It sounds like she must see something great in your." He said, giving Yaholo a smile. Perhaps she sensed that he was a strong warrior? Or did she sense that he was a good father material? He couldn't say he could guess at Aisha's reasons behind anything, all he knew was that this particular man had been blessed by her and he couldn't help but to feel guilty for nearly accosting him. Oops.
The dark skinned warrior introduced himself as Yaholo and giving a smile he said, "My name is Rishima, it is good to meet you... though I hope you can forgive me for my terrible greeting, sister." He felt he should probably apologize many times over to make up for the slight against one so important to Aisha.

"My father is of the Leaf Tribe, from Tale." Yaholo replied. "If you've never been there, it's a huge desert with a few settlements scattered around it. I spent most of my childhood in a settlement called Yera. It was nice there, except for my step-mother, sometimes."
Yaholo couldn't help but blush as Rishima guessed at why Aisha might have blessed him so highly. Something great? All he had done so far was do what he felt was right, protect his home and his family, and stay true to who he felt he was. If that was so amazing feat, why hadn't all his friends in Tale, Sauti, and Zena been given an equivalent to his blessing? Not that they could be granted kids, but they, too, deserved something just as precious.
"No, no, it's fine!" He laughed. "Honestly, Rishima, I would have been surprised if you hadn't been at least a little skeptical of me. It's your job to protect our Sisters by being one of the first to signal for a threat. I would have done the same thing, I am a Massif, after all."

Rishima starred at the other half Alkidike for a moment before giving a nod, "I see." He murmured, Yaholo was much darker then the other Leaf Tribesmen that he'd run across in the past but he just attributed it to more time in the sun and that was that, "I went across Tale a few times whilst going to Sauti and Zena but I have to admit I never spent time there other then that." It was strange to think that while he had lived in Jauhar his whole life and visited further off places that he had never really spent a lot of time in Tale save for passing through. Perhaps he should consider doing that one day, provided of course he could find the time. He felt so busy of late with constant patrolling that he hadn't been able to do much in the way of fun. It was something that he really should remedy.
As Yaholo reassured him that it was alright, that it was his job to protect their sisters, he perked up a bit, his antennae twitching happily. He was glad that the other guy wasn't too upset with him, "I have been a bit on edge since the tournament, ever since the threat of Oba's invasion plans were made known I have found it difficult to sleep, as such I have been patrolling a lot more. Seeing you I guess I just sort of panicked." He said, lifting a hand to scratch it against the back of his head in an embarrassed manner. He really would need to get a better look at those that he was planning to accost, they might very well end up being friendly after all he told himself.
At the same time he couldn't drop his guard completely, while this time it had been someone that he could trust next time it could very well be an Oba spy. Best that he stayed on guard regardless of his desire to keep the peace, "While I am on patrol I will make sure nothing gets near our Mother or your lotuses, I promise you this, Sister." He said, giving his word to Yaholo, not wanting to allow anything dangerous near Aisha or the little ones she was caring for at the moment.

Yaholo listened, smiling, and chuckled a little when Rishima spoke of his travels. He'd been to Zena, too? Hopefully he had an easier time there than he did. All Yaholo could take away from his trip to Zena was frostbite, fatigue, nausea, and an aversion to ice. However, he had enjoyed meeting Joln'ku and conversing with her over tea once he woke up the following morning. He'd brave the snow to see her again, at the very least.
"You sound well traveled, that's good!" He said. "I find that my travels have bettered me, even if my trip to Zena wasn't superb. Frostbite's a pain, literally."
His expression changed to somber when the tournament was brought up. In all the joy of becoming a father, he had forgotten all about the looming threat of war. While he knew he would fight along side his sisters and friends with as much strength as he could muster, his children would always be his priority. If they were to get involved in any form of danger, big or small, daddy would be there to save them, no matter the sacrifice. He sighed and nodded.
"I've actually given little thought to the war because of all of the personal things I have going on with my life." He explained. "Between my younger sister running off into the unknown to me becoming a father, there isn't much time for me to worry about what I would be doing come time for war." He paused, giving Rishima a small smile. "But, rest assured, when it comes time to protect our home and people, I won't allow any warrior from Oba to lay their hands upon us maliciously. They won't make it close enough to even try."
Then, his smile grew, and he bowed his head. "Thank you, Sister." He said, sighing. "I haven't been able to sleep, I worry for them. My main disturbance is that another Sister will discover them and do them harm. While my parents weren't attacked when they wished for me, I have heard that other couples like them have been. What if someone capable of such an act were to catch me, or worse, hurt my children while I am away? Your words mean so much to me, it puts me at ease."

Rishima gave a twitch of his antennae before nodding in agreement, "My sister Jerarda and I only stayed for a short time before we came back from Zena. It's not a place that I would spend a lot of time without good reason, it's far too cold for my liking." He said, giving a shiver just at the thought of that icy land. It was most certainly not for him. He much preferred to be nice and warm without having to wear many layers of clothing while sitting in front of the fire he thought to himself. Though at the same time he would much rather return to when the only worry he had was chilling his antennae as opposed to the stress he was feeling at the moment he thought to himself.
When the other man said that he was giving the coming war little thought due to other things going on, something that he couldn't help but to go wide eyed over. He wasn't even thinking about it? How could he not? Was he the only one fretting over such things? Perhaps, the others that he'd spoken to about his issues and stress didn't seem as worried as he was. It really made him want to go check in on Gerraden, to see how he was dealing with the current threats that the world was trying to throw at them. When Yaholo reassured him that, despite him not thinking on the war, that he would still protect their home and people he gave a smile, "That is good to hear."
He smiled more as his sister thanked him and he gave a little chuckle, "There is no reason to thank me, though perhaps you should consider at some point introducing yourself to our elder sister Eshe, she lives near to our mother, Aisha, and is likely aware of your lotuses, she seems to look after them." At least he was guessing that she did since she had been the one to find the baby that had been born too early, the one that she had called him in to help her to save. She had to know that there were two new lotuses within Aisha's care that were going to bare little ones. Giving a smile he said, "I will keep an eye out, while I don't think any of our sisters are dangerous enough to threaten little ones best that one keeps a watch over them. If nothing else if they don't let you come to the island when the little ones are born I will bring them to you." The fact that they had been prayed for in secret did make him wonder how Yaholo meant to get them off the Chibale Isles but who knew.

Yaholo blushed at Rishima's suggestion. Eshe, right, she lived practically next to Aisha, how could he not know she was there at guard? He chuckled, rubbed the back of his head, and smiled sheepishly.
"Oh, Eshe, how could I forget she lived so close to our mother?" He said. "I've become, I suppose you could say, acquainted with her? I met her when I first traveled to commune with Aisha, a long while ago. That was before I had the intent to plea for a child." He laughed. "Come to think of it, she said that she was present when I was born, how could I not think she would be there and know about my two at this very moment? Aaah, I never cease to amaze myself with how much I forget these days. Time just... Flows by so quick, you know?"
He gazed off to the Isles again, a thoughtful expression on his face. "It seems like only moments ago that I was fiddling with arrows and embarrassing myself as trainee..." He sighed. "And now I'm a Massif and I'm going to have two kids of my own. Isn't life incredible?"
