It was a good thing that the whole island itself had no quite rid itself of the holiday status effects, as while the Hunters were relatively back to their normal selves, the walls were still gingerbread, magically regenerating gingerbread and icing that made for a great delight for the first two hours or so, but after twelve hours and half a hospital wing later, it was clearly obvious that Hunters did not deserve nice things ever. One would think that the answer to the clearly obvious problem was to not eat every single gingerbread wall in sight, but once again, Hunters did not deserve nice things ever and were quick to prove it themselves.
Except apparently, now, as the twitter rumours went up, as the posters plastered around went live, the flyers were circulated, the envelopes of invitation handed out to all Hunters.
Tonight was the night of the Deus Christmas Party.
There were a few disclaimers to be noted. The first was that the longer the gingerbread, snow, gumdrops and candycanes remained, the overall happier people got. It was a relative sliding scale of happiness that seemed to slowly more and more slide down the spectrum of Joy. Moods were lifted, people were a lot more forgiving, and not even the combined efforts of Rep, Taym, and Marcus could set spirits down as everyone thought of the holidays, of cake and candies, of snow and peppermints and promises of holiday excitement.
At 6:00 pm, both double doors of the largest and classiest room in Deus opened up to reveal quite a sight. Yes, this went back to the Hunters did not deserve nice things ever because pretty much the only thing holiday and Christmas-y about the whole party were the walls of gingerbread themselves. There was a Christmas tree, which was great, but it was also wrapped in runic bandages with minor runes as ornaments. There was a wonderful, plentiful table of drinks, that involved Ramune, Calpico, Suntory, and Pocari Sweat and was written in A Language That Was Definitely Not English. It also didn't seem quite alcoholic. There were cakes which were wonderful, once one got past the giant smiling Pikachu cake, the grand masterpiece being a ten-foot high cake-
- made entirely out of black icing with skulls, cobwebs and bats decorating the entire thing. The cookies were also bat shaped. The cupcakes looked like tiny ghosts. Someone had obviously gotten the wrong holiday or, someone had obviously gotten the wrong holiday. The streamers were also a three-for-one divide as one side sprouted dark black streamers, cobwebs, and pretty much enough props for a haunted house, while the middle was relatively normal Christmas decorations and a disco ball, while the other side was bright yellow with pictures of electric rats pretty much as far as the eye could see, and streamers that said "GANBATTE" and "I CHOOSE YOU PIKACHU!".
It was a good effort, really. There were also some holiday games off the side. Allan was already there, decked in Christmas gear as a shining beacon of holiday Pikachu, talking to Sunny who was insistent that there be absolutely none of the Pikachu's tainting the Christmas tree of healing. Mark had already helped himself to whatever he could see on the counter, and had not so subtly set up a mistletoe-on-a-hat deal, and in the dark and haunted corner was a girl wearing all black with terribly disheveled hair and extremely heavy eyeliner that really looked like she belonged as a student in Amityville Academy currently stapling more bats and spiders onto her corner, which was encroaching the normal Christmas things corner.

gaia_crown [ GAME 3: KISS THE KING ]
- Mechanics is pretty easy. The King gets to sit on the throne of mistletoe (it's just a chair with some mistletoe hanging off it okay), and the next person must kiss the person prior to them in order to also have their turn on the throne. It can be anywhere really.
- To play this game make sure you post in ooc in BOLD RED that your character is CURRENTLY ON THE THRONE. Once they have been kissed they can get off the throne. If you are unsure if there is someone on the throne, make sure to backread to see who is the most recent person. All your character needs to do is kiss (anywhere) the last person sitting on the throne, the person who has it in bold red and quote that person. Once they have, they don't need to wait on that person and can just take the throne. The last person who was kissed can react whenever they have a chance
