"Careful," Marcella cautioned as she helped the art intern sit up on the bed. "Let me know if you start to feel dizzy and we'll let you lie down again."
She scrutinized the other lady's face, as much for signs of fainting as to try to remember why she looked so familiar. The hazel-eyed girl had volunteered to help at the Chrystal Academy holiday blood drive on purpose, since it was her old school, and so expected to see more than a few familiar faces, but she could not put a name to this girl.
The blood donor Marcella currently helped, at least, would have an edge on her: she wore a name badge on a lanyard around her neck, printed with both first and last name. But for now, the nurses' assistant would have to maybe sneak in a question once she was sure that the art intern was recovering nicely.
Hands ready if she started to faint, Marcella asked her, "How are you feeling? Ready to get some cookies and juice, or do you need a few more minutes here?"

Zelda groaned, pressing the heel of her palm to her clammy, cool forehead. "Goodness, thank you.." She mumbled, peeking her eyes open just a bit. She glanced at the young woman helping her, offering a weak smile. Composure wasn't her top priority at this point, but politeness never hurt a soul. "I suppose needles just aren't my forte." She laughed weakly and immediately let out a small moan, leaning back to rest on her elbows.
"I appreciate you taking your time.. urp-" A scarlet blush spread across her cheeks, a hand flying up to cover her mouth. Her stomach churned. "Maybe water." She asked weakly, leaning up enough to catch a glimpse of the woman's face and name tag. "If you wouldn't mind Mar.. Marcella." As the name slipped past her lips Zelda's brows furrowed, connections matching left and right. "Say, did you go here not too long ago?"

"Thanks so much for donating anyway, then," she offered with what she hoped was a reassuring smile. "Probably in a few hours, you'll feel like it never happened, and your blood will be on its way to helping someone out."
The nurse-in-training helped the other young lady stay steady, keeping a hand on her shoulder for support. "Take as much time as you need," Marcella added, then asked, "Do you want to lie down again?"
For all that she went around with a name tag of some sort basically everywhere she worked, it still always caught the brown-haired girl a bit by surprise when someone called her by name. But she nodded and replied, "Yeah, I graduated a few years ago." A pause as she tried to come up with a name for the teacher, but could not recall it.
"Hang on, let me get you that water," she replied, then stepped away to buy herself a few more moments to remember the other lady while she took care of the small errand.
