SHADOW RUN
The Shadow Run is both the simplest and most dangerous training course that can be run without a golem. A flurry of continuous attacks is what the Sun Division holds in highest respect, and the course reflects that. The course itself is a simple tunnel, reached via portal. Within the tunnel await hundreds of weak, hungry shadowlings. Nothing to worry about on their own, but capable of overwhelming a Hunter through sheer numbers at the first moment of weakness. At the other end of the tunnel is another portal, leading back to the course observation booth.
If you fail: your character is KO'd, but there's always a senior hunter in the observation booth with enhanced bandages at the ready. They should reach you in time. Really. Trained and trusty professionals on-hand 24/7.
If you win: peen points and bragging rights to those who take out the greatest number of shadowlings and go the most turns without needing to attempt a recovery maneuver.
Mechanics
You must get through 5 waves of attacks to make it through the tunnel.
Simply roll for attack as you would in battle.
If you miss, your character falters in their attacking and is overwhelmed by shadowlings.
After 3 successful hits, you may use your weapon's charge attack.
Bonus Mechanics
This bonus is consumable.
The bonus in this course is in the form of "recoveries" ~ these are would-be missed attacks that are quickly recovered and turned into a successful hit. Basically, they can miss once and roll again for an extra try. If you keep consecutively missing, though, and run out of recoveries, it's lights out. These do not equal an automatic pass for a round, you still have to land a successful hit to proceed.
Trainees: 0 recovery
Sun Trainees: 1 recovery
Hunters: 1 recovery
Sun Hunters: 2 recoveries

After the life course with Stormy, Nevada thought to be a trooper.
Because Mist things. Plus, she could think of a sun hunter she'd like to see again. It had been awhile since the shopping trip after all, and well...Solomon and her sister hit it off nicely.
She could fan the flame a little right?
Just a little...Talk her sister up during training.

Solomon had been scratching at a crack in his visor (and frowning) when his phone had suddenly buzzed against his desk. Picking it up, he gave the message an interested lift of his eyebrows before he put the visor in question on and draped his coat over his shoulders to head out.
He'd taken several wrong turns (having done absolutely none of the training courses like the champ he was) and had to get directions more than once before he'd finally arrived, grinning widely.
Even if he had somehow forgotten to put a shirt on before the 'put on visor and coat and leave' step. (Un?)Fortunately he'd remembered the rest of his clothing, though.
"Please tell me I end up at the right one this time...."

Nevada yawned as she waited, laying on the life tech's board of controls until Solomon got there.
Thankfully, before she started touching buttons and annoying the life tech more, Solomon appeared in all his uh...glorious Sun gear.
"You just like showing off your abs don't you..." She came over and poked the skin peeking under his coat, even as going to admire the tattoos as well. "Look handsome, I need your visor, Can I borrow it for the training?" She reached up for it.

"Showing off th-" the contact of her finger with his stomach made him look down with a sort of muted understanding. "Oh. Well. Yeah, I guess yes." he may have mumbled a small comment about 'at least it wasn't my pants I forgot' under his breath as he zipped his coat up to cover up.
Exposed flesh, while nice on the eyes would definitely hurt a lot if the right thing happened to it - burning, freezing, acid, y'know the standard amount of s**t the hunters put up with on a daily basis.
The request about his visor had him tapping the front of it, his lips twisted in a hesitant frown of consideration.
"Well....if it won't mysteriously vanished in there...that's a possibility," he didn't have any excuses about turning her to stone to fall back on as why he needed it after all.

"Yeah showing off the goods. You know..." She slipped the visor off and plopped it on her head, "If you'd forgotten the pants then I would've seen it all, and gasp Solomon, we aren't even dating." She put her hand on her heart in mock surprise. "Trying to seduce me from my girlfriend! I'll have to tell Chelsea to be aware of you."
Although she never really looked at Solomon that way cause you know...Girlfriend. Plus she had a thing for the skinny moon asian, NO WAIT GIRLFRIEND. She had pretty Chelsea. AND SHE WAS TRYING TO TALK UP ALASKA HERE.
"Okay Let's do this..." She stepped through the portal, summoning her weapon. To start off the adventure, she started singing the power rangers tune, which she knew only because Dorian would whistle it, and Milo would sing it and Chelsea sometimes randomly broke out in it.

"If I did that do you think she'd try to seduce my Bro from me?" he asked with a joking grin.
Following after her, and feeling much more naked without his visor than he ever did without his shirt, he followed her lead in summoning Aren, who was howling with a mix of laughter and disgust inside his head at the implication that Nevada had been making.
Her rendition of the Power Ranger's theme song got a hum from him as back-up as he too, as the white ranger, was very much familiar with it.
"Alaska? It's co- OH." she'd been smart to remind him that she meant a person and not a state. "She's pretty reliable." he answered with a small shrug as he started to move through Shadowlings - he kinda hoped he was just supposed to kill things since nobody had actually given him instructions.

She laughed...and then frowned. "Which bro? Milo or Dorian?" Because the first one seemed more like her nerdy friend and the second well..."I think she's got a thing for big burly men. Like Jack..." there was a loud hiss after the name was said..."Or Evan." The smiled returned.
"I knew you'd think of the state...I almost wonder if people mention me, you go no that's the home of Las Vegas. What happens there stays there!" She fired again, "She's pretty too, underneath all the tattoo's I guess...."
"She's pretty sweet when she wants to be, not quite the flirt I am though..." good points, good points of her sister. "ah she's pretty loyal too, I think as suns you guys should get to know each other better..."Status Wave: 1 Attack Dmg: 9 Total Shadowlings taken out: 21 Recoveries left: 1

Evan and Jack were both individuals Madam President didn't like so it was interesting for Solomon to see how the general opinion went. "Dorian," he replied, laughing as he continued to walk forward. "Well, no. I've spent more time with you so I default to the person before the state, to be honest," he winked at Nevada in the dark (his face felt naked) as she continued talking.

A little faulty footing and Solomon needed to correct it before he tried to slash into the mob again.

"Alaska would be good for you...Fun. Not so much adrenaline junkie...and I don't think she'll jump around like batman and robin but at least she'll be good in a fight? Kind of like Wonder Woman or something." Nevada laughed, adjusting the visor as she hit another group of shadowlings.
"To be fair, I use to go by Ava in high school a lot. Or Nev, depending. The guys really liked Nev and the girls really liked Ava. Then I cam here...It's probably the most I've heard my named used fully..." She laughed again.
"This is funner then I thought! I forget sometimes how much I like just shooting things..." She blinked and then turned her visor covered face over to Solomon. "Certain suns you don't like Hun? I find you guys to be the most rambunctious of the bunches."

"Are you playing matchmaker?" Solomon asked as he glanced to Nevada, the raise of one brow visible as she had his visor at that time. "I think Alaska is a bit more Hawkgirl." he suggested - 100000% done with everybody's s**t and not taking any of it.

He was on to her...ABORT THE MISSION, ABORT THE MISSION.
"I have no idea what you mean, Matchmaker, with my sister and my favorite man child...that would be silly..." her tone was a sort of bemused neutral...and thank god the visor blocked her face cause she was totally grinning with a sort of like...s**t eating grin.
"Alaska is hawkgirl..." She laughed, trying to imagine her sister as such. Well with the hair and the tattoo's...she did give a expression of a more violent...well whatever.
She turned to joke about how a bat and hawk would do well when she noticed Solomon being mobbed.....
"Solomon!" She shot as many of them as she could, dragging the bigger hunter out of the training and back into the room, lifting his visor from her face.
"hey there Solomon, Are you okay?!!?"
