Once again the night found Damocles and Tantalus on patrol together. It had pretty much become routine that the pair would go out together since the shade attacks only a few months before. And like many times before, the pair had some how wound up at the park. "How do we always end up at a park?" Damocles laughed as he tugged his companion along. This time though, instead of it being a park with swings and things for kids to climb on, there were walk ways and benches. Trees and flower patches dotting the green grass.

Tantalus just grinned. "Because there are far more parks in this city than is natural, I'd say," he said, "and because they actually make a fairly good gathering ground for powered sorts." He wandered, briefly, from Damocles's side to pluck one of the flowers - something he couldn't quite identify, white petals with a yellow center, and casually tucked it into his hair. "We seem to be alone - why not take a break for a few minutes and enjoy the flowers and the evening?"

Damocles just rolled his eyes, smiling faintly as he crossed his arms. "I swear... sometimes you can be such a girl." He laughed as he walked over, the chains on his fuku jingled faintly. "Mmmm That's quite rare.. There's almost always someone in the park.."

"Says the man with a ribbon in his hair," Tantlaus pointed out, and then he reached out to grab Damocles's hands and pull him over. "Yes, it's rare, which is why we should enjoy it while we can, no?"

"Hey. I didn't put it there. I have no clue why I even have it." Damocles grumbled. He made a small choking noise when Tantalus jerked him over. "I'm coming I'm coming. The flowers arn't going anywhere dear..."

Tantalus let go of Damocles and flopped down on the grass, still grinning. "They're not, but I don't think we can spend all night playing around in the flowers, unfortunately," he pointed out. "As much as I might like to." It was easier to think of patrols simply as time spent with his boyfriend, but of course that was blind stupidity. Ah well, he could take a few moments to have fun, right?

Damocles just snorted quietly. He knew full well that Tantalus would in fact, spend all night in the flowers if it were possible. "Do you even know what they are?" Damocles asked as sat down and plucked on of the flowers himself, turning it this way and that as he examined it.

Tantalus scooted over to Damocles, tucking himself between his boyfriend's legs. "No, I don't - I don't actually know every flower off the top of my head," he said, leaning over to rest his head against Damocles's shoulder.

"And you think I do?" Damocles replied, wrapping an arm around Tantalus' shoulders. "...On that note, I think they are a daisy." The blonde mumbled quickly before Tantalus could mutter some comment.

Tantalus grinned. "I don't think you know, I know you know," he replied, "and you just proved it. Daisies, hmm? I guess I usually think of them as being yellow, not white."

The blonde just rolled his eyes and actually smacked Tantalus in the nose with the flower. "Smartass..." The blonde mumbled, pulling his boyfriend a bit closer. "Daisies are associated with purity, innocence, loyal love, beauty, patience and simplicity. And don't ask me how I know that... I really don't remember..."

"Always," Tantalis acknowledged, grinning. His eyes drifted to the flowers around them, and he reached out to pick one, carefully tucking it into Damocles's hair. "All of that sounds like someone I know."

"How I put up with it is beyond me." The blonde sighed dramatically. "Really now, because I'm not the one that looks like a girl." Damocles teased, grinning, as he leaned down a bit and kissed Tantalus' hair.

"Oh, I would argue that," Tantalus grinned, and then he put his hands up on Damocles's shoulders and pushed, trying to push him onto the ground. His eyes were sparkling with mischief. "I'm not the one with nearly foot-long hair, love."

Damocles toppled backwards. "I think it's actually longer then a foot. I'm not actually sure he said. "Besides, you like the 'nearly foot-long hair." The blonde smiled, resting an hand on Tantalus' arm.
