In the middle of the training fields was an ice cream truck. It was one of those traditional ice cream trucks that most (privileged) kids would see when they were younger, though it was currently belting out a strange foreign tune. It was to be noted that the music was so loud it cloud simultaneously be heard from the dormitories, Life labs, main headquarters, and of course the training fields at the same time.
Upon closer inspection, it was revealed that the ice cream truck was a trap, literally. As in, other than being decorated from top to bottom with gaudy lanterns and lights, there were picnic tables assembled in front of it, and Sun Hunters dressed up as maids with cat ears. It was to be noted that about 75% of the Sun Hunter populace was indeed male, but for some reason, were still wearing inflatable breasts and panties.
In the truck itself was the Sun lead looking ridiculously proud of himself was he moved orders out from the truck to hand over to the waitresses. He himself was also dressed in a sailor cat girl maid outfit and looked way, way too excited. Occasionally he would honk the truck's car horn loudly and then sing off key to the ice cream truck music. OOC WELCOME TO THE MAID CAFE- You can either look around (at the things going on), but you aren't allowed to enter unless you're buying. There's a pretty extensive menu being handed around so Hunters are free to order from it. A maid will serve their order promptly! Each ice cream thing costs 5 bucks because Sun Hunters are fundraising for a field trip to find their inner spirits under a waterfall. - You can also tip your waitress if you like them gaia_crown ICE CREAM EFFECTS - Most ice cream bars are normal, but there is a slight chance you might accidentally end up with one from the experimental bunch. You can't tell which one it is. Roll 1d6 and if you roll a 1 or 6 you got an experimental ice cream. You will suddenly feel happy, a little too happy. And extremely clingy. You seem to have contracted a minor case of puppy love to just about everything you see. gaia_crown IF YOU ARE A SUN HUNTER - You can also volunteer to be one of the maids! You have to put on an embarrassing maid cafe dress with cat ears (and tail) and you are given a series of lines you must say to customers. You are allowed to keep all tips given to you of course! - Embarrassing lines include: "I only serve you master!" and "Please treat me gently!" and "Sailor Waitress Kawaii Neko Chan is here! What can I kawaii order for you today!"

Ice cream was not a treat he often indulged in, but Kostya did have a little bit of a sweet tooth, even if he'd never admit it. Weaving around the hunters in strange outfits (at this point, he was loathe to judge anyone for their lifestyle choices), he purchased one bar of ice cream.
Specifically, a Strawberry Shortcake bar, that was unwittingly a little bit abnormal.
His worries and anxieties began to fade with every bite, an unreal sort of joy falling onto his shoulders.
So.
Much.
Joy.

It was clear from Saya's slightly puzzled but shining gaze at everybody, including the sun lead there, that she wasn't judging you.
You were just all very brave souls with good ice cream.
She ordered the powerpuff Bubbles ice cream, while shining eyes focused on the sun lead.
Allan was just really cool ok, no matter what. But that didn't stop Saya from staring at all the other sun hunters as she ate Bubble's hair.
Her eyes shined even more, as a joyful feeling bubbled up within her. Wow, everybody was looking adorable in dresses and maid outfits! *u*

To the side of the truck, America stood at attention looking like a dapper as ******** (America-kun kakkoi!) in a butler's uniform. Next to her was a large sign that read: NO INAPPROPRIATE TOUCHING. The warning was accompanied by a number of hand-drawn examples along with possible consequences awaiting the disobediant.
Noticing Kostya, she shot him a lazer-like glare, just daring him to ******** around with capitalism in action.

Kostya's version of clingy meant that he drifted towards America, lingering to admire her sign. She did good work, that America. Despite her disapproval of him based on outdated opinions of his political beliefs-- ones he was not particularly all that attached to, come to think of it-- she was quite a wonderful woman.
He could easily follow her instructions of NO INAPPROPRIATE TOUCHING, and instead, admired how well pressed her lapels were. That, and her FIERCE INDEPENDENCE.
"Privyet," he said, taking a seat at the table closest to her.

She did not care if the ice cream was a redic price, 5 bucks for the ability to eat something amazing? She even went for the Sonic ice cream, something she remembered from her childhood. Though the gumball eyes were discarded, those were always nasty.
Still Ceres felt no ill effects, and instead watched the others whom seemed to be acting oddly?

Quinn took a bite of his rocket ice cream.
He then stared around at everyone with sparkles in his eyes.

Kat stood off to the side, just leaning against the side of the ice cream truck, still dressed in her own hunter getup, rather than joining in with the other sun hunters in their maid attire. As much as she loved her division, this Sun hunter would always draw the line on dressing up, when given the choice. Still, it did not stop her from showing up to give moral support to the rest of them. Kind of.

Marcus had been working, as usual, on his future house. Digging full sized rooms and then reinforcing them was tough work. Not to mention what he brought to eat down to his little project was often... ready meals. So on a trip to the main HQ to get some more number crunched before setting the next room up being told to about ice cream. Curiosity was a bane really. Marcus arrived and the sight of men in maid outfits, fake tits and all. "Well then." Ceres and Saya present, Marcus took his ice cream sandwich and went towards them. "So, no one's been poisoned yet right?"

Otto was having a bad time. An Icre Cream Truck run by Sun Hunters was probably a bad idea, but what more did he have to lose? It was ice cream. he just wanted some ice cream. Maybe it would make it all better.
It didn't. But on the plus side he had his chocolate fix to take back with him into Deus while doing mundane chores.
He looked like a pouting child, stubbornly trying to remain sad while licking from his ice cream cone.

Jason would of loved some ice cream. He really would have. But sadly after giving his savings to Mark to keep him off Caelius's radar, and his latest paycheck going to restocking essential clothes, presents, and a very expensive coat to a traitor mist leader, he was quite broke.
As such, he watched the spectacle from afar, trying not to think about how good the ice cream looked.
At least the costumes were amusing to look at. Allan also brought a chuckle form the moon trainee with his enthusiasm.

How had this happened? Peyton couldn't recall what exactly has transpired that resulted in her ending up in a maid's uniform beside an ice cream truck, but she was there. Short skirt and fake cat ears included. She was also blushing, delicate features shut down into a near perminant glower as she edged around the truck and walked quickly towards the tall 'maid' in the dark visor, practically hiding behind him as small hands wrapped tightly around one of his wrists.

Allan had somehow appeared next to Jason as if sensing the Moon trainee's plight. He peeled open an ice cream bar and held it out to Jason-
-before taking a huge bite of it. "Ice cream really is best at arm's length!"
And then he bounded away in a maid costume and all, but not before giving Kat an encouraging thumbs up.

Solia arrived in costume, thinking it was a cosplay party. She was very sad to discover it wasn't a cosplay party. She was also jelly of the fact that some sun hunters look better in maid costumes than her. At the sight of Jason at least, she figured the day might not be a total loss. "............So you like maid cafes huh?"
