If someone were to tell Taurid just how boring life was going to be for as long as you could remember... he probably would have asked the gods to make it so he'd never been bored. He hadn't been with his father and siblings in a while now... good riddance to that life style. He still couldn't believe how infatuated pop was with so-called 'mom'. Pffft, as if. The only thing he had to be thankful for when it came to that wicked lioness was probably his devastating good looks.
His chest puffed up just a bit when he thought about himself and how handsome he was and he gave a little chuckle. Right... life was boring but he was beautiful and that made living worth while, no? Now he just needed to take advantage of his beauty... and his new-found mane! Manes were important! He slid away from the large, warm rock he'd been sunbathing on before letting his paws drag him back in the direction of the last watering hole he could remember. Time to find a female... maybe even another male like himself. It was always so hilarious to see the confusion on their faces'. Bonus points if it turned to anger!

Well. This was just perfect.
The black and blue lioness raced through the grass, body low to the ground and a gold chain firm in her jaws. The glimmer of the metal, the shiny red gem at the end, how could she resist? But pirates? They just had to be pirates? They smelled like fish and fermented fruits and, she made a note to herself, seemed to be quite attached to their shiny trinkets. Well, what was done was done and there was nothing left to do but sprint back home and hope they didn't have the gall to follow.
They really had made it too easy, the mindless fools. Possessive, yes, but nothing that a bat of the eyes and quick paw couldn't fix. The ease of the whole thing, it almost took the art out of the trade. There was a delicate nuance to thievery. Charm, skill, and a hint of dashing good looks, and Veli'mkono prided herself on it all. For this, she didn't even have to try.
The lioness made her way towards the watering hole, dirt flying off behind her paws. Maybe, she figured, she could lose her pursuers among the bodies at the hole. Like anyone could forget her face. But that was beside the point. Turning an eye over shoulder, Veli looked for any sign of the pirate... only to run full force into a lion. She only saw a whirl of pink black and teal as she rolled. "Hey!" she snarled, quick to snatch up her new trinket. "Watch where you're go-" she turned to face the wall that she had run into... only to realize it was a lion. And a rather handsome one at that. Instantly, the gears started turning. "Oh. Well, hello," she crooned, demeanor changing quickly as her snarl curled into a thin smile.

His mismatched eyes flashed annoyance as something came slamming into him. He stumbled back and a growl started up deep in his chest before his gaze rolled over the bright blues and bright creams and the noise cut off. His eyes darted to whatever it was she was so quick to snatch up, but he didn't get a good look. His expression quickly slipped from annoyance into something seemingly worried, surprised. "I'm so sorry!" He chirped out when she began to tell him to watch where he was going.
When her voice changed, when she crooned at him he had to hold back a rather wicked smile. He knew she was noticing how good looking he was. His smile was tentative, shy almost. "You're right, I should have watched better where I was going…" He stepped closer to her and leaned as close as he dared to her face. "You're not hurt anywhere, are you?"
